It's scheduled for tomorrow. I have never written an exam for an academic position before, hence why I asked the question. The mail is somewhat vague. No clear instruction except come with a copy of the mail. Is it going to be CBT? Shey we should bring pencil, biro and paper? Or make I carry calculator join? 😀

Anyone with an idea of what to expect for an academic position exam should please chip in.

I will advise you to familiarize yourself well with basic concepts in your discipline. Being an academic position , you may as well be asked to teach. In this context , it is either you are given a topic by the panel or you are allowed to teach any topic of your choice. So, ensure you prepare well on a topic within your discipline in case...


Meanwhile, job tests for academic positions vary across schools.

A friend of mine participated in a test and an oral interview a few days ago ,at a private university in the south west. It was CBT (45 minutes) - he was asked to write on Ukraine-Russia ongoing saga. They typed on the Microsoft Word app on the system.
As per the interview part , he,like other participants , was only asked basic interview questions. He was also asked to teach a topic given to him by the panel.

Note : He applied for an academic position as Assistant Lecturer in the Social Sciences.

Briefly , be flexible and smart. I don't think job tests and oral interviews at College of Education should be that hard though.


You can also do simple preparations on Use of English/Maths/Current Affairs, who knows?

Someone got APL there few days ago. Very confirmed. Annual salary is 11.something million,I couldn't remember the exact figure.

2,305,048.00 per annum for CONRAISS 8, step 1( Msc entry level). I don't know that of CONRAISS 7 ( Bsc entry level).
A friend got APL there in April this year.

Having an haircut in the dream is a bad thing. Your hair is your glory, you don't want any enemy tampering with that. Again I had this dream( few days back) that I was having hair cut at a barber shop. In the dream , I wasn't concentrating well and it looked like the barber was forcing his clipper on me to give me hair cut. At the end , I felt good like I like the haircut shape I had gotten after the hair cut. At this juncture, I woke up.

Both dreams looks related. In the first one, the elderly lady that was supposed to take you to a different destination actually took you back in time - it's like taking you backwards, to a former house/neighbourhood. It's curses that behaves that way. Since you said the woman has been featuring in some of your not-too-good dreams, you will need to break the curse and destroy the entity behind it. It looks like a foundational curse because the woman is old in both dreams, and you were taken to your former house in the first dream. It's ancient spirits that takes people back to their villages or father's house, or former places, in the dream. Break every curse of delay, setbacks, failure in your foundation and in your life.

Please, kindly help interpret :

1. I had a dream that an old woman volunteered to help lead and guide me to a destination I did not know very well. The woman took me on bike ( she was the rider ). As we were taking too long on the journey, I became somehow frustrated and I lost all trust in her. At this point, I told her she should allow me alight that I was no longer interested in journeying further with her . She looked at me with disappointment. As I alighted, I paid her for the service rendered as she appeared like a commercial bike rider.
As I alighted, I looked to the left side to discover a route which leads to house / neighborhood my family once rented and stayed over 10 years ago. Then I woke up.

Note : I don't know this old woman in real life. However , I have seen this woman in a number of my dreams - she has become familiar face in my dreams especially the scary ones.

2. A day or few days after. I fond myself in an area like market. Suddenly I saw an old woman ( my late grand mother's younger sister) , she was very happy to see me to the extent of hugging me or so.

Note : The old woman is from my father side and she is still alive . I don't think she can even identify me in real life because we stay very far to where she stays, though I know her very well.

I was in a well -populated gathering (like a program). I was there holding a gun as if I were a security agent protecting the place . There were two other security agents there too holding guns too.
One of them approached me to borrow my gun. I was confused because he already had his gun with him,but I later gave him my gun. To my surprise, he then handed my gun to the third (last ) security agent who was already holding his gun too.

The last agent to receive my gun then turned to me in a sudden attempt to fire(kill) me. I was confused and I became scared as I felt I haven't done anything to deserve such. He then started killing people in the gathering to prove to me that he wasn't joking with his attempt to kill me .

I later saw an open window. I was confused on whether I could escape through the window, as I knew the agent would kill me after killing others in the gathering. I became helplessly confused on what to do to escape the death . At this point, I woke up.


2. Later ,another dream. I was traveling in a commercial bus. Suddenly, we noticed there were gun men operating and people have been killed . Our driver had to reverse back to escape. Later he took another open road ,but we saw dead people killed by the gunmen we traveled though the road . He quickly turned back again sensing that the route was not safe as well. Everyone in the bus was scared including me. At the point ,I woke up.

If its ECC, it depends on the contractor. Recently they slashed salaries and last year they were forced to sign an undertaking to waiver thier rights to annual leave or allowance. Stressful job too unless you don't mind.

It's a contract job...60k salary plus pension and HMO included. ...you work on shift basis. No much calls to pick...in a shift you can pick only 5 calls and that's all
