I want to confirm, did you apply that you travelling to reunite with a family member or you a travelling as a tourist. I guess processing is faster for applications of people reuniting with family member.

I used the new portal after reading here that application process was between 14 to 30 days.

Finally got Passport request for my parents.

First Application Dec 6,2020 - still processing

Second Application on new portal - Oct 31. 2021
Passport Request - Dec 2, 2021

Passport photograph? That wasn’t part of the required documents when I was resubmitting. I thought it was weird but since it wasn’t requested, I didn’t bother. Do I send it via webform?

Also, that 2mb limit was so restrictive plus the portal kept rejecting documents merged or compressed with websites like ilovepdf. I spent almost 6 hours adjusting and putting the documents together before it finally uploaded.

Same here, did not see the option to submit a passport photograph. It was not part of my required documents to submit.

Just to chip in to part of your question, I read on the website that you have to pay for the new application and the previous visa fees may not be refunded.

Ok thanks, just wanted to clarify as I've just spend $400 and hope we get the visa this year. Previous application is one year plus.

I applied on August 29th for my mum & dad, no response. Reapplied (reuniting with immediate family member) on Oct 19th via new portal, got a PPR request for them today.....6 business days

Hello, did you have to pay the application fees again in the new application which I assume you would. Secondly, did you get a refund for the previous application in August or do we write a mail requesting for refund.

Am just starting my application for my spouse but his passport expires in the next 6months. By the time we are ready to submit, his passport will only have 5 months to expiration. Can I go ahead or should we apply for a new Nigeria Passport before submitting application. Please advise. Thank you

My baby does not like any cereal and only want to eat solids. i give him pap, and somethings amala. that's all i know. i need more receipt as his not adding weight. He still breastfeeding and i try to give formula milk but he refuses this most time.

ive taken down the semo receipt and will try it, but i need more.

Any help with the page will be much appreciated or ideas. Thanks

Thanks love. It's my 2nd option but nothing beats that Ghana must go bag. It's very strong and can contain lots of things.

Am not sure you can travel to Nigeria with Ghana must go from the states, you will need to buy those light weight bags. They tend to reject it at the airport as most airlines have had to pay passengers for lost or missing luggage when its Ghana must go as it gets torn easily especially when its checked by TSA. So they've not been accepting it. However you can travel from Nigeria to the States with it as your luggage.

Immigration and the embassy does not have record of Medicaid, they only have record of collections.

So if you have receipt for some bills which should be yours I.e hospital, doctor and epidural, your visa will be renewed.

Its when you cant provide receipts or the receipts you have is a very low amount, that's when the embassy and immigration officers will question it and state you used Medicaid, which is true in most cases ( exception to MIHS package of usd2,888 then and other similar package)

A lot of people do not pay for their babies bill which is usually the lowest in most cases and apply for insurance for them.

For paying back Medicaid, all you need to do is call the hospital billing office and tell them you want to pay the bill and get them to reimburse Medicaid. Please note at this point you will not be able to negotiate the bill and would have to pay same amount Medicaid paid the hospital.
