Salam Alaikum brother, dont be afraid at all. Since you said you are above an average student and you are ready to make a good grade in both your UTME and PostUtme, there is not problem if you choose OAU both as first and second choose. Just make sure you prepare to the fullest because Medicine cutoff is very high. If you have a very good mark particular if you can hit the merit cutoff, OAU will admit you.

But if you are still skeptical about your marks, you can then choose OAU as first then any other school as second choice.

Am not scaring you, am just telling you the truth because some students claim they have read wide but yet they cant solve a simple logical JAMB question and they started blaming JAMB and OAU for their low marks. The truth is, if you really study right, your success is assured with prayer.

What is you target mark in UTME?

FUTO 2nd choice - Prosthesis & Orthopoedic Technology.
Wrote private GCE this year and will write NECO & WAEC next year. Very first attempt so all subjects are 'awaiting results'

In life we have to be realistic let me give u some instants y I said u shd not pick a sch for both 1st n 2nd.
This year a boy was promised heaven n earth on UI admission he was even told by the person that he shd choose UI 1st n 2nd he was called upon by UI to write their putme which he did he is also an average student so he had 48 n in UI 50 is their cut off 49.5 for get admission so there was nothing he could do cos all hope was lost. This do also happen in oau no matter who is helping u if u v 199.5 forget that year.
Luckily for the guy we met here n I told him of uniosun supplementary putme which he did now he is in uniosun studying chemistry. But what if no other sch does that next year u will need to wait another year. Never choose a sch as 1st n 2nd u don't know what might happen (missing result, not meeting the cut off, been sick on the day of exam and so on) could happen
