2.well,my intention was to see what you on de land think because it was rather strange to me
3.I don't like the boy for any reason,I see him as a kid
Snazzy baby, i don't see anything strange in a 16 yr old guy going for a 21 yr old lady.

U may not like him as u have said, but i don't want to agree that he is a kid. 16 yr old of yesteryears may be a kid but not any longer in this age of rapid evolution.
PoliticsRe: Does the Nigerian Police Make Things Worse For Nigerians? by yemstrad(f): 4:44pm On Dec 21, 2005
Then we can as well blame Obasanjo for all the wrong things in our country. We've been blaming our leaders for a very long time, enough of this. Let's also examine ourselves.

It's too early to celebrate. The Finance Minister is having trouble comvincing our lawmakers to authorize the first $6.4 billion dollars of the debt as agreed in the debt reduction deal. Who knows if they'll keep frustrating her until the debt reduction deal is withdrawn?
but what are these Senators up to? Honestly, i want this debt wahala to be out of our ways so that we can enjoy better conditions of living.
Also, with the debt ou, Naira - Dollar gap will be reduced for sure.

Turn this statement around, if a white guy said this about black women, would that make it racist then??

Ijebuman no vex u hear? Na how the thing dey pain me i take write the post. Honestly, i prefer my African queens for their intelligence, perseverance, doggedness, beauty and above all; their homely approach in man/woman relationship coupled with their unassuming vibrancy.

When u look into the eyes of an African queen, u see hope; no matter what ur problem is. No be woman we go dey carry Pistol (gun) dey pursue him husband all in the name of fuckin civilization.

There's one thing i don't get! is this really how people talk here? rude without considering others feelings?? well, if that's how it is! i guess that's just too bad!! i'v noted a hand full of people in here who are really repulsive and i mean really repulsive; this should not be acceptable.. I think people need to start thinking before typing in order to make other members feel welcomed as well as to avoid hurting each other's feeling.
This post is annoying, really annoying and i don't like it. What has anyone here said that is too bad?

snazzydawn:
ok ok,my bad!!!sorry.
Snazzy, as your .....?..., i have to tell u the truth; u too should read well before u post anything. U just accused Typewriter of having committed same offence. Hope i'm not going to be sent packing....

Typewriter:

This Snazzy could be up to something ..enh! She's a kind of sneaking in and out of NL these days. Or is there any accord already with the guy in question? So that the rest of us in NL will not continue to debate the issue when the main actors may have settled.

Snazzy! Snazzy!! Snazzy!!! ......How many times did i call u? ......3 times enh! ......Come and clear the air now before it is too late.

RomanceRe: Office, Club, Church, Internet, School for Dating? by yemstrad(op): 9:55am On Dec 20, 2005

Yemstrad, since you have disqualified every place suggested, where else do you want us to mention? Ok, Hell is the best place.
Yes Aunty, that is exactly the problem 'cos people will have one reservation or the other about the appropriateness of where u try to start dating. This problem is more prevalent in African.

Hell is the home of fire (as we were made to understand) and not for dating.

mide2:
You can find love anywhere, anytime, and anyhow.there is no rules or boundaries for LOVE.
So if love is everywhere and there are no rules as to how u date the opposite sex, why then do we scold someone for placing AD on the internet seeking a lover?

Why will a Pastor forbid lover/lover relationship among the church choir thereby forcing them to do it secretly?

Why should a white garment pastor/evangelist who impregnated a church member be crucified or vilified?

The Yorubas and probably some other tribes place high premium on the way and manner u found ur partner and that is why the addage "Iyawo ti a fi Ijo fe, Iran ni o man wo lo" .... meaning..."The wife you found in a party, will surely not last". This is the extent of the discord for dating at parties / owanbe functions.

Some in this forum called me Agbaya (good for nothing person) when i said my Secretary in the office is the right person for me. Why? Because it is office.

Inspite of all these reservations, we still engage in the game of love. Could it be that we do what we preached against or what is the problem? In-fact, i don't just know. i'm finished already.

School
Me 2 see no problem with that of school, but to some people; u should rather face ur studies than to start dating the opposite sex.

Infact, some believe education and love affair cannot go together without the latter affecting your performance on the former. Again, the gut that placed a thread here seeking a LOVER was told point blank by most members to first face his studies and become "Mr. Somebody" before he can even dream of anything love.

So this question has not been answered.
RomanceRe: Does Courtship Really Matter in a Relationship? by yemstrad(f): 12:19pm On Dec 19, 2005
enchantra:
i think courtship is very important in a relationship because... this is the time when you know more about eachother, TRY to understand the bad habits and see if you can deal with it on the long run,

but more of all how can you BUY a ride when you can't take it on a spin first.
But ladies nowadays can pretend for long i.e. hide their true colour untill after they're married, thereby rendering coutship before marriage relatively ineffective. I said ladies 'cos it's more prevalent with them.

That church one is no taboo at all. Infact, that's where the greatest number of couples are being matched these days! When you see single ladies and guys facing church seriously, na mainly because of life-partner o!
That office one, if you truly truly love the girl and it's not just to "sleep with her" like you said in that your thread, then there's nothing wrong with that too.
My sister, this much is ur opinion. When a guy makes a move at a lady he love in the church, it is taken that the guy is practising immoralty of going against the bible as people believe the church is meant for worhip somehow... somehow. This is the general belief.

Also, u'll agree with me that people in this part of the world still see u as the unserious type when u try to find a lover thru internet. Infact, that was exactly the fate of guy who placed a thread here on NL (Romance) seeking a lover.

Different people, different stroke. the question again is, where is the appropriate place to seek a lover that will be free of immorality tag/insinuation.

this topic has caught my attention but I had nothing to say or comment because I don't know were we are heading in virtually everything we do in this country. therefore I felt my comment might be meaningless here. But something that is happening to the topic quickly made to realise that this topic has been left unattended to probably because a lot of a Nigerians are aslo in the dark just like I am. Therfore no one will say a word, and if that is the extent to which Nigerians are left confused and in the dark on matters relating vividly to theiir future and that of their children then it is a pity.......
Yeah, u scored a point there. people do not seem to know the importance of the topic. interestingly, some of the so called leaders may have cause to be on this site and see most of our suggestions on the way forward; we never can tell.
