Nonamexxx: Okay thanks Hold on sorry. I just reread. Are you saying when I go there. My passport would just be handed to me? Without any file or seal?
This part "i know when the passport comes with a letter then very likely visa not granted" No, i meant when you open the envelop and get your passport with a letter in it. Once my cousin was refused France visa and he told me he opened the envelop and did not see a visa apposed in his passport but rather an accompanying letter which happened to be a refusal letter just "ticking" the reason for the refusal. Your passport will return sealed dont worry about that. |

Congratulations ! OSHartorz: Submitted documents on 14 June Message to pick up 4 July
Visa granted (one month)
At the time of passport receipt, travel date was already in the past. Nonetheless, the visa was granted.
Although, when I submitted it was supposed to take 10 days but it's now it takes 30 days (may be due to Olympics) |

Amml270: If you are married to a French citizen can your visa be refused? It can be refused depending on the category you are applying from. For example, there is what is called "regroupement familial" which is the main route to relocate and join a legal french resident and the demand for this kind of visa is initiated right from France. However, if it's just to visit and return back then you have to apply under tourist family visa and get attestation d'accueuil from the city mayor where the resident lives (the resident will just go thier city mayor and request for it, the mayor office may send people to verify his/her accommodation first before granting the document and this document costs about 30 euros to be bought as stamp. The requirements for these different types of visa are different and once you submit all the required documents of the category you applied and they approve them then your chances of getting the visa are good. A practical example of how they can refuse you the visa : if you want to use a smart way (tourist route) to relocate and join your family member and they figure it out from your application then surely the application will be refused. Hope you get it? Modified : if spouse is french citizen, your chances of being refused the visa are very slim provided you provide all required documents and you are not in a polygamous marriage (stated on thier website). There is special visa for French family members and you have to apply for that visa and supply the required documentations |

Zoey1: Sometimes some of your own documents are added with the passport on return. Sometimes, it could be a letter telling you a date to come and present yourself physically after your return. Wauu, i never knew one could be asked to come and present self after return ? We learn every day |

Nonamexxx: Thank you. I feel a bit better I guess. Is there a way to know the outcome before opening my passport? I know this question is weird but like when I go to tlscontact. My passport would be in a brown envelope, right? Does a bigger envelope mean rejection (since it comes with the rejection letter) and doesn't a smaller one mean it has be granted since otll be only ones passport? Sounds a bit funny though....I haven't heard of size of envelop indicating if visa granted or not but i know when the passport comes with a letter then very likely visa not granted. |

Nielda234: Please who knows how much France Visa fee is right now? Tourist short stay visa you mean? From 11 june 2024, the short stay visa increased to 90 euros for adults and 45 euros for children 6 to 11 years. So multiply 90 euros by Naira exchange rate to get the total amount in Naira. |

Pickup message came 10working days after submission. Big congratulations Bruce and thank you so much for updating us. Thank you once again and enjoy your trip to France ! |

tunyuz: Hello, everyone. Please I received a collection mail today from TLS France. Does it mean my visa is granted? This is my first application with France, I am only familiar with UK system. If its UK, its either you get refusal mail or collection mail. Thank you in advance France visa processing is quite different from the UK. Most UK Visa refusals get refusai emails before thier passports are returned but in France visa, no such emails are sent. You only know the outcome when you collect your passport. When did you submit your application, Lagos or Abuja ? |

Guys please remember to come here to update us when you get your passport back hopefully with the visa granted (or not) so we can have an idea the actual delay time in processing visa applications. We don't seem to be getting enough feedbacks from those who recently got thier passports returned with or without visa. |

Zoey1: In Nigeria, they can’t keep up with 5days until the end o of the Olympics. 1. Most Nigerians wants to use that opportunity to enter into Europe. 2. Most Nigerians believe France is the easiest Schengen consulate 3. Most Nigerians prefer the modus operandi of not having to face a visa officer not been called for unnecessary stories afterwards. 4. If the Ambassador wasn’t changed earlier in the year, it would have been pretty much easier. But the new one definitely has his own modus operandi etc Until the Olympics is ended , it will keep on like that. Of course they are cashing out too. I didn't even know the ambassador was changed this year. Good points you made. |
