Submitted my documents and did biometrics at TLS since June 3 2024. Till now no response. Anyone else experiencing this?

It may be normal because i saw a notice on TLS website stating that application processing now takes longer than usual a averaging about 3 weeks. Its scary for someone like me that date of travel is around 12 july. I submitted just yesterday

Sometimes those last minutes ticket can be equally cheap.

I haven't been that lucky with last minute tickets though

Anyway usually they process application within 8 working days. Pray yours don’t get delayed due to Olympic rush.

I tell you, but that's how i have been doing it previously and luckily i havent been denied and the advantage is i pay cheaper flight because i book well in adavnce.
Like you said, its a big risk though.

Although if what you are saying is, because you claimed you will be travelling by the 12th and incase they haven't treated your application closer to your travel date will that have a negative impact on the outcome ?
I do not think so, there is still enough time you still have more than 20days, they know sometimes you may not even travel on the dates you put on your application, if not they should have been issuing the specific dates and duration only except cases where you going for an event and that date would have passed within that waiting period then maybe ?

Please who knows the average processing time for france visa. I am seeing on TLS website extended processing time of 3 weeks minimum. I am afraid because my appointment for submission of application at TLS is tomorrow 20 june whie i booked my flight 12 june. I don't know if The application would have been processed and returned for pick up before 12 june.

I guess TLS is having issues with glitches.
Checking today I saw May 27 in Lagos and Abuja remained at June 25.
I still don’t understand .. both of them on Monday had dates only from June 3rd.

Haa, i just hope they dont cancel my already booked dates. But how are you able to see the available dates if you have already booked or are you yet to book a date? As soon as I paid for my booking, it took me to the next page and I am unable to access available dates.

It’s funny because I saw June 3rd on Monday.

O yes I gave it another trial the next day early morning following our last chat and luckily plenty dates appeared from May 27 and I booked my date for 20 june which i wanted.
The Olympic games is around the corner and i guess the demande for France visa is shooting up already and thats probably the reason dates are getting exhausted.

I think it’s a glitch.
2days ago, they have full day openings from June 3rd and since yesterday it’s been saying no dates.
Just give it a couple of more days it will reset.

Life begins when you are born, just that some didn't realise this till they were 40, hence the phrase to tell them. This generation though isn't so privileged, as hustle teaches to start living by 18-25 for many, and even 12 for the most unprivileged.

Going well with single lady at 40 is a personal matter, I'd think, as freezing eggs ain't cheap if she wants to bear children, though thankfully, sperm is. Either ways, I'm sure she's been living.

Mind you same VFS in lagos has other countries as a application collections center. China is there but you must pick up your passport they will not courier it that’s their rule same VFS.

Canada same vfs has their own rule of collection either pick up or courier as well as other countries same building own by vfs

I know. I am talking about France visa.
But may be they have changed but mine was june last year.
Probably they change the rule during high demand periods like holidays trying to decongest the center by forcing people to pay for courrier services but I am talking based on experience, mine was collected in person.

This is not true please. You have the option of going there to pick up your passport yourself or having courier deliver it to you.
I used vfs just last month and was able to collect our passports ourselves. And yes it’s France I applied through.

Thank you Blessedsteph, I have always known courrier services as optional and it is still clearly stated on thier website as at this day. If it is a new development then they are yet to update thier website

They were accepting pick up before but changed it after covid. If is still on their website they are yet to update it. It might be possible for VIP applicants

Mind you I’m taking of VFS for Schengen visa and I’m telling you what they told me two weeks ago when I visited VFS.

You may be right but my brother collected mine in person last year on my behalf. They are probably yet to update thier website as you said

All passport are delivered by courier service if you apply for French visa nothing like to dash to VFS to pick your passport. They told me categorically at vfs

I have collected my passport in person at the center before and it is also stated on thier website with an option of courrier services at an extra fee unless it has now changed :

After a visa application decision has been made, you can pick up your documents from the Visa Application Centre or have your documents returned to you by courier for an additional fee.

Collecting your documents in person: bring the receipt issued by the Visa Application Centre and a form of Government identification. yes you will have to open your passport and look at all the pages and see if you have visa apposed on one of the pages.
Normally if the visa is refused, your passport comes back with a paper to explain the motif behind the refusal so when you open the enveloppe and see only the passport, highly likely the visa was given but if you see a letter with the passport, it may not be good news

Thank you , what would you do . Will you go ahead with the Sept 1st date and hope the passport is returned before the other trip you are to embark on the 14th that you already have a ticket to an event you can't miss .

I would risk it and go ahead with the scheduled dates because France processes thier visa applications faster than UK and in most cases you get your passport back within 10 days. But i will not opt for courrier delivery because that may disappoint. Just have to be prepared at all times to quickly dash to the VSF to retrieve your passport once you get the alert that passport is ready.
The courrier delivery is a 2 way thing : you may be lucky to have them deliver it the next day but some people have been unlucky to no get thier passports delivered even after 3 days or more.

Sorry about this but please make sure you are not looking at the "180 days duration" written on thier visas to conclude it's 6 months visa while actually it's a 10 year visa, talking from experience.
Mine was granted for 10 years but when my brother who received the passport on my behalf opened it and saw the 180 days duration, he told me i was given 6 months, i nearly fainted !
I told him to scan it and send to me and there and then i looked closely and saw another place on top written valid from 20/06/23 to 20/06/33 which is 10 years duration !

sure, you will be informed when the passport returns from the embassy to the VSF and if you have chosen passport return by courrier services, it will be delivered to your preferred address.

Also is there an option of keep my passport till visa is approved at the France embassy.

For UK visas yes these options exist but for France visas through VFS, unfortunately no. You must submit your passport and I am not aware of any priority fast service options.

Please, am trying to fill the online visa application form for my niece but having difficulty at the point where she's to talk about previous schengen visas. She actually submitted application for Norway visit visa last year but her application was denied. Now I ticked NO for any previous schengen visa and YES that she had previously had her finger prints taken for schengen visa I also indicated the date of her previous biometric but as I tried to proceed to the next page , I got an error message that I must input her last visa number
Please how do I solve this problem

Tick "No" to previous fingerprints to enable you move forward. That was what I did when i applied for my mum few months ago and the visa was given. Since her visa for Norway was denied, the fingerprint taken then has gone to the dustbin. So tick "No" to previous fingerprints.

Yes Schengen visa can take you into mexico visa free.

I requested 8days. But like I said I'm a frequent traveller and sometimes I spend 1night, 3nights or at most 5days whenever I travel to the Schengen zone.

I'm a frequent traveller this would be my 6th visa my last visa was 6months which expired yesterday. What I did differently was to submit a year insurance coverage alongside same documents previously used.

I see, but as per the application form, you must indicate the duration of visa requested. What duration did you ask for ?

I applied for single entry but got 1yr multiple entry visa (90days maximum stay). It may be frequent traveler advantage or just luck

Did you apply for 1 year or they just gave you 1 year because of frequent traveler status?
