The kind of beatings I 'collected' from my Mum made me doubt she is my Mother.My Dad?Lord have mercy!He will ask you to go and bring the appropriate whip out of his collections-1,2 or 3 thonged koboko,1 and 2 strip folded hose,cable,e.t.c.You will be your own jury and judge to bring one of these 'collectibles' commensurate to your sin.
The beatings didn't kill us.We respected them so much we dare not look them in the eye when 'colleting'.I'm sure it never crossed our minds to run away or report then to neighbors,let alone other family members.
Most of us turned out out to be honest and upright because of this.
God help this wishy-washy generations.
