TravelRe: March 29 Total Solar Eclipse In Nigeria by Yewande3(f): 11:25am On Mar 29, 2006
how cool was that eh?

Nice though, feels like nature or whatever is really in charge when you witness something like that, otherwise we forget the sun is there dont we! When its not we get all excited only cos we know it wont last, what if due to global warming it did in fact go out for us always, Mmmm  well just a thought, lets not spoil the moment  wink

Loving all the pics, Maxflame your toenail one is excellent! grin

Eev so you rose to the challenge in double quick time and at least you had a camera charged and ready so at least those without and those far away (like moi) can see what you took and feel less disappointed they didnt see it to be honest through my black welders glass I was able to look straight at the sun but all I saw was like a fingernail shape I think your pix are better!!
TravelRe: March 29 Total Solar Eclipse In Nigeria by Yewande3(f): 9:57am On Mar 29, 2006

TravelRe: March 29 Total Solar Eclipse In Nigeria by Yewande3(f): 9:38am On Mar 29, 2006
all the welders in town will be able to safely look through their glasses, the black glass was excellent for getting a view of our partial eclipse and all we saw on earth was an eerie half darkness in what should have been bright sunshine for about half an hour, I took video of the effect on the ground but like Seun said its no good to look direct with any camera!
TravelRe: March 29 Total Solar Eclipse In Nigeria by Yewande3(f): 2:19am On Mar 29, 2006
I looked through a piece of welders glass at the last eclipse here in 2000 a neighbour suggested it and it worked a treat you can actually see through the black glass and without the glare see the eclipse you might get a pic with that better Seun but be careful its not known how many UV rays get through the black glass but it was great

Courseyou have to know a welder or be able to buy a piece of this glass sorry I didnt see this threadso for those who now see this just be careful, eyes are precious shocked

Prime ministers question time shocked, now I see we are alike I used to take a day off work purely to listen to the budget!
Since I had kids I have to be content to listen to it on the news.

I also like Indian music (Bollywood) and African anything I started off with Ladysmith Black Mambaza butI shy away from too much adhesion to praise songs as I get a weird feeling in my bones tho I confess I like Gospel a lot! Again my musical tatses are at odds with my familys thanks goodness for Ipods eh? cool

Genetics sounds fascinating Ive taken part in a genetic study of cataracts as I had them from birth as did My Mum my Sis and Bro got them later, same as my daughter, Im intrigued now I didnt know what the result was!

Seun
This sites success is testimony enough that it doesnt really need anything to improve it, whatever your personal goals are towards tweeking it a bit Id say fine, but how it looks is zero to do with the reason Im here and I suspect others would agree.

Looks aint everything

(though you are pleasant to look at, lovely eyes, I say that as an aside and cos its nice to say a truth
Im old enough to be your Mum, so you know its only a compliment before anyone makes a quip!)
