Really Its not how its marketed here we are told the men in the desert used it for weeks to go without food and if we take it we can do the same Im rather stunned by that, I dont like abortion but thanks ![]() |
Thats cool Im still happy to be here ![]() |
Check this out . http://www.suntimes.co.za/zones/sundaytimesNEW/newsst/newsst1102067035.aspx . Testing for aids and infections can be done with a needle and with dignity I understand if you need to check this as who wouldnt but as you can see from this link its not right to check for virginal proof though it may be a culture thing sexual abuse, sport etc etc and the fact that men arent tested equally makes this not on! |
From what I know an unbroken hymen is supposed to be the marker Dont even go there with flow as SURELY men dont want to see that as well Jeez I dont feel qualfied to comment as to why she lied as I dont know why its a big deal to even be bothered about her being a virgin and my culture ignorance is kicking in here,Clearly it means something in Nigeria and Im going to stand back and wait for someone more experienced to comment further! |
Thanks for that advice alheri I do believe that when in Rome you should do what the Romans do but Id have a problem with that! In this country men and women are equal in fact Id not even curtsey to the queen as to me ALL are equal However if she curtsyed to me I would of course yet I somehow doubt she would LOL ![]() Nigeria does sound like a nice friendly place! ![]() |
Hello Shungin Trust is a big issue but this should be between the two people concerned surely? Again how does he know for sure it was a man who broke her hymen which is the only way you can measure if she aint a virgin? Vibrators etc are readily available and sport can also do damage so there is no way to tell but to suspect the worst doesnt say much for his trust and respect for her does it!If she says she was then she was, then he doesnt trust her, why not? |
Thanks reneeslove Here in the UK we would never even ask such a thing! The thoughtof an embarrassing family meeting would make me cringe well Id not want to be part of such a meeting ![]() I thought obnly God himself was fit to judge anyone! The flowers are lovely what are they called? |
Thanks alheri Rhodalyn and queen2 ![]() Im mother to three by the way, married and work for the government. I changed my name by deed poll from my English name to this one I loved it so much and know what it means I changed my entire name to a Yoruban name I may visit Nigeria one day with a female friend of mine from there but Id be out of my depth if I came alone I think, I find Nigerian peope very friendly you have culture that is very different to mine ( I dont know if I even have a culture)and Im learning as Im keen to know more, I dont want to offend anyone, there is the prostrate greeting custom I dont l know if I could do that howe imoportant would that be if I came to visit there? . I read on here in the travel conversations there are bodies in the street fighting and corrupt government can this not be sorted out? it seems a shame as genuinely I find the people from Nigeria here in England (and on here from what Ive read) to be god fearing honest with high moral values so how can this happen? My friend never mentioned this to me but Im a bit alarmed, is this all true? . |
I have commitments here IBB that make visiting for pleasure not possible at the moment but it sounds a bit scary bodies in the street, corrupton I read about on here etc if I did come it would be with a friend from there else I would be out of my depth! She said she will take me when I want to go, but not yet sorry![]() (anxious not to take this conversation off topic) |
I changed my name by law in england from my english name to this one a colleague in my office had the name Yewande and she is from nigeria and I liked it so much I changed mine to it Tho I changed it to Yewandé. I think I was born in the wrong place, I love Africa it just seemed the right thing to do.I know what the name means thats why I took that name even though I liked it anyway. . Pardon me I havent a clue what "syd brushin" is it sounds as though I may have upset you? I seriously hope not! I posted from England, thats where Im from ![]() |

Thank you Whitsoftx I am just reading and learning I dont know what I need exactly, friends would be nice, if I have a question about something can I ask you? ![]() Language/ Patois/ Interpretation that stuff Its very liberal and open here in the UK and I find myself puzzled by some topics but thats cos I am learning can you do private messaging to ask pple stuff direct or does it all have to be on here? ![]() . Rhodalyn Hey babe how are you? Thanks for saying hello ![]() |
![]() Hi Im Yewandé Im from England, nice to be on Nairaland and look forward to making friends Im interested in learning the culture of Nigeria and about Nigeria itself as Ive never been there. Love and Peace to all |
Sorry Grizzly I didnt mean to offend, in England this isnt a taboo subject but then again I guess thata wife beinga virgin may be a little rare too! Im learning your culture please bear with me LOL at my self then, bear with me and you being Grizzly, no pun intended! ![]() |
@IBB "e ka bo 2 Nairaland" Is thatHello? If so Hello back, your my first reply!(now Im not a virgin anmore )Re Reply Exactly, in these modern times who on earth can judge such a thing!! Like an Ann Summers Party where all the family pass the V round and have a turn watching it wriggle on the table I dont think so lol |
Im surprised its even worth comment in this day and age! Agree with the other poster you can break a hymen so easy during sport , and vibrators are commonplace so are we saying using those is wrong out of marriage? Its hardly being unfaithful is it? When these standards were set long long long ago, intimacy gadgets did not exist! Family meeting? Well what a potential nightmare that would be, imagine if its a Love Machine/vibe would she take that to the meeting too? Jeez! Anyway how nice a husband is he that he rushes off to tell someone else that his new wife has no hymen, not much for her dignity is there!!! ![]() |
Hi Try this, you may or may not have to pay but worth a try? . tp://www.192.com/search/index.cfm?section=people&view=a |
I dont know how she looked before, only the locals and her doctors know that, there are no pictures (I didnt look at yours though now wish I had) Anyway, tis true we have a culture which sells stories such as this and it may of course be frowned upon over there but if you think that these big flashy newspapers dont make money out of circulation and sales out of the stories that we supply then you would be wrong Look at"Hello" and OK arguing over who was going to publish pics of Michael Douglas/ Catherine Zeta Jones wedding they made Millions out of it so why shouldnt they earn big bucks as its their faces selling the mags. Diana Princess of Wales would have made millions if she charged for her picture but she didnt, they were gutted when she died they lost a fortune! ( lets not even go there that it was their fault, thats another conversation)) Ms Dinoire had tried to commit suicide and was found by her dog who tried to wake her up but couldnt , in the process he tore her face apart, well thats what we hear anyway, could be she blew her face off with a shotgun but missed her brain, (we shall probably never know) bad publicity for the dog eh? Anyway if she was that fed up with life why not be a guinea pig for a face transplant? They say she has an infection in her mouth cos she still keeps smoking, my personal view is that it was a waste of money!!! This person deserves to have a go, her life must be a living hell not only for her but for those who love her and worry about her future, lets hope she can go next. This girl wants to live, she isnt planning suicide and she doesnt smoke, far better to spend money on in my opinion . . http://www.duihope.org/drunk_driving_newspaper_articles_1.html |
They look amazing! Id do it definitely Has the white lady had a hair transplant too?? |
@ snazzydawn "Though my religious beliefs don't support it,I personally don't like it,and no,I am not imposing it on you.Its called assisted suicide, and suicide is a crime too punishable by law.See?" . Hello what do they do then, when he/she has committed suicide bring them back and then hang them so that its legal? Impossible surely?? ![]() |
I just bought something called Hoodia I heard it was used in the desert for the guys who travelled for weeks without food and its good for weight loss someone had lost 8 lbs in one week and Im giving that a try, makes you feel full up and not hungry which is working well its a natural plant extract. |
