MT: You keep on talking about being spiritual while the rest of the world is putting in good shift.
Immediately this Olympic ends, the rest of the world will go to training their athletes using world class infrastructure and top of the cream coaches.
Most of you guys misplace where you should focus your energy, reason why Nigeria is like this.
The only thing you import to the world as a nation apart from crude oil is religion, where does that take you as a country?
Keep being spiritual and go and win 100m race come Italy 2026. You are not obliged to agree with me or believe in it. That's my prerogative, while it's yours not to believe. That won't change anything though. I know as a staunch supporter of this government, you must be very disappointed. |

One man takes over and everything good went bad and everything bad became worse...within a year o!
Too bad. You are actually right. Those who have spiritual insight already knew what would happen during his tenure, and unfortunately, it's the opposite of the Midas touch - even with the best intentions, the outcome will be negative. Nigerians would just need to be patient and endure the next 2-3 years left. Even his fall during the democracy day was very symbolic, and not in a good way. |

The answer is NO. As a result of ethics and religious bias
Incase u may ask, I'm not a pro Tinubu, To be fair, things were not this bad during Buhari's time, food stuff wasn't this expensive and fuel certainly wasn't N600+. If it was the same situation and they didn't protest, then I would have agreed with your statements. |

Tinubu and his cronies are busy wasting state resources without providing the much needed leadership. It makes no sense [/color] Especially because most of these politicians ship their children abroad with the stolen monies while leaving the country drained, let there be no peace for them wherever they may go. |

That is why I shake my head when I see comments from anyone boasting a person will rule for 8 years, etc etc, you don't even control the breath in your own nose, but you are making noise about the future. When some people tell African Americans to move on from all the years of oppression, this is why they don't. The racial discrimination never stopped it just became state (police) sanctioned.
You know a country is a jungle when the first action of the police is to use their guns. Same as their counterparts in Nigeria. As in, it's unbelievable. Now we can see why AAs act so hostile, just imagine living in a country like this. Wow. As for some comments here justifying the man's actions, may you find yourself in that woman's shoes one day. |

Intrepid01: Nope, you aren’t sticking by that principle and that’s why you’re attacking the old man. Your opinion on the government is your choice but you can’t be bitter cos another person refused to give a negative opinion.
I know many of you are bitter cos your candidate lost but do you realize the man you’re referring to is 90 yrs. How many 90 yr olds are still cognitively sound as he is. The old man needs rest, it is left for you and I to stand up for our right. I have never criticized Soyinka because he is entitled to his views, you on the other hand are attacking those that are, which makes you no different from them. It's very simple, practice what you are preaching, no? And you are clearly the one not thinking straight to assume you know who my candidate was. Toxic beings everywhere. Just look at your post history and tell us who is exhibiting bitterness. |
Politics › Re: Soyinka: I Intend To Keep Quiet About Tinubu's Administration For Now by yewit37486: 12:02pm On Jul 23, 2024 |
Intrepid01: He didn’t build his image off your ridiculous opinion, so it can’t be tarnished by it. Every man has a right to determine when to speak or what is opinion should be. A 90 year old man who has been active for over 60 years decides to keep quiet, largely cos old age has caught up with him, meanwhile most of your grandfathers had already lost cognitive balance at 75yrs. If active and young Nigerians feel things are not working well, they had better stand up and fight for their right, a 90 yr old man has little or nothing to benefit in a better Nigeria anymore. So why not follow your own advice and stop attacking those who chose to give their own opinion. |

Infact when you went for interview you should have noticed how the lives of employees look like and if you also want to look like that in the nearest future. The truth is that government job isn't that challenging but you can determine to stand out and work on yourself to have a beautiful career experience. Lastly, minimum wage go meet you on government job oo, private employer no sure in this regard. Thank God we still have people reasoning like you in this country, not those encouraging him to be using the time for his own stuff while collecting salary without doing the work. |

visaclick: Government anyday anytime. Most of these commissioners and senator don't even work more than 5times a month and their allowance come in steadily giving them time to chase other things. Private firms are confused right now. And that's exactly the reason the country is the way it is, when as a people we adopt and encourage this kind of attitude. As for those other things they are chasing at the expense of work they are paid for but don't do, it will eventually come back to bite them. |

JAMO84: Mr Momodu is asking for 3 things here:
1 Empower the youth - What is the objective of Students loan that has been extended to include students in vocational training?
2 Agriculture revolution - The President has directed that all military lands should be cultivated. Made a deal with the Brazilian government to deliver 10 000 tractors and other Agricultural equipment by the end of 2024. In the meantime, the President has ordered 5b naira worth of food stuff to be imported, to mitigate the effect of severe hunger.
3 Cut government Spending - We are on the same page on this one. You as a father cannot tell your family to endure hunger due to lack of money, while you go about drinking beer and eating pepper soup.
I believe Asiwaju will deliver in the end, I don't think we should predict a student's CGPA in year 1, when he/she is on a 4 years course. The end justifies the means. Not sure this is the best analogy to use. A student who performs poorly in their 1st year of uni, having Ds, Es or Fs, can never graduate with a first class or even second class upper because those poor grades will keep weighing down the subsequent years' results till they graduate. That's the concept of CUMULATIVE grade point average. |
