Yhenny , nice review of kwara state. well, d only reason why I'm contemplating choosing kwara state is cos it is very close to my home town.. and as a non serious pcm, I want a place close to ma state for easy entry and exit..

Spending 19800 in Kwara state shouldn't be that bad. Food stuff like she said is relatively cheap. I bought three tubers of yam for #200 last month (although they were small o). There's still #20 tomato and pepper, pomo #100, efo #20, eja shawa #80-130 .


As for electricity, don't stay anywhere around Tanke (student area). Kwara state is very very peaceful. Well, for those of us who are used to Lagos madness.

I'm looking forward to more updates, my choices are still subject to change. After all, we still have some time before 17th.

That Tanke is a no no for me, Main reason i stayed in school hostel. With 500H you can prepare pounded yam nd veg

KWARA STATE
CMs are mostly posted to schools Or LGs, the state govt. doesn't pay a dime If you are expecting a state allawee you are on a Long thing thou you might be lucky to be posted to a PPA that pays(some Private schools). People here are accommodating, a friend once told me that corper's lodge in her village is more beautiful than their oba's palace(just 40% of PPA provides accommodation and are mostly in villages) People in the village are super friendly they give out free food, free accommodation etc but the problem with those villages are bad network, bad roads, poor electricity, you may have to drink well water......
Social life in kwara state is not that bad as People portray it to be especially in Ilorin, at least there is Kwara mall, Broadway(babes yapa for that place with chinkini money sef) and lots of places you can hangout. The level of security is very ok except for some recent cases of kidnap. The People here are kinda lazy most shops open by 10a.m and they close early. Transportation is very cheap, a drop of taxi is 50naira you can get maruwa and bus for 40naira but they only pass certain routes. Food stuff is not really expensive in Ilorin.
You can get a room self con from 60k and above depending on the location, Dunno how to describe electricity distribution in Ilorin sef, in some places Its above average, some places experience a day on and off while some never see light blink for some months now.

Thanks. I don't have such issue... My problem is that my first choice uni gave me admission and also unilorin did, but on Jamb site and admission letter it's my first choice school that shows. Don't know if this would have effect

ATTENTION PLEASE!!!
If your JAMB registration number on the graduating list is not correct, please quickly go and correct it now before it will be too late cos you won't be mobilised and you won't be allowed to serve if that wrong jamb reg is sent to NYSC like that, NYSC will verify it, once they see that the number doesn't bring out your details, then u are automatically out for service. Please check yours very well and tell your friends.
