bank profits are superficial. based on exchange rate gains, treasury bill yields and high interest rates apart from the usual scam of getting forex fro CBN at 305 and selling to customers at 370-400. Is that banking? very little real-banking going on here. try and get a loan, its like dealing with loan shark mafias. these banks even want to sell recharge cards they are even competing with the mallams on the street. thats why i wont invest in these useless banks. gtb, zenith, all of them are small banks. if you add up all the banks in Nigeria their market cap is equal to the market cap second biggest bank of South Africa. thats how much of a joke Nigerian banks are. all they are good for is going around in their lexus jeeps. |

Oando shares put on full suspension. full suspension for 48 hours technical suspension after that. do you think the SEC went soft on them after all just 2 days full suspension. http://www.easykobo.com/News.aspx?id=19813 |
Oct 18 (Lagos) - The Securities and Exchange Commission has directed The Nigerian Stock Exchange to suspend trading in the shares of Oando Plc ( OANDO )as follows: 1. Effective for forty-eight (48) hours from today, 18 October 2017 to 20 October 2017, The Exchange should implement a full suspension in the trading of the shares of Oando Plc; and 2. Effective from 20 October 2017 and until further directive, The Exchange should implement a technical suspension in the shares of Oando Plc ( OANDO ). A full suspension is the halt of trading activities in a listed security for a period. A technical suspension is the interruption of price movement in a listed security for a period so that any dealings in the securities which occur during the period of the suspension will not result in any change in price, which change may have occurred had the suspension not been implemented. In the 48 hour period commencing today, there will be no trading in the shares of Oando Plc. Thereafter, effective 20 October 2017, investors will be able to trade in Oando Plc’s shares but such trading will not result in any movement in the price of the shares. OANDO shares price at the moment is N 5.99 per unit. The reason for the suspension from SEC are allegations of suspected insider trading, irregular shareholding pattern, irregular party transactions http://www.easykobo.com/News.aspx?id=19813
