BusinessRe: Is Gtbank Really The Best Bank In Nigeria by yinka2011: 1:11am On Nov 19, 2013
balogunsam: First, i love GTB but I'm moving. I am a young entrepreneur and i strolled into a gtb branch we av been using for over six years to ask if we can get an overdraft or loan or a form of service to enable us have 1.5m to attend to an urgent need. The account officer told me NO. He said gtn only issues a minimum of 10 million naira to corporate account holders and anything short is a NO. He then went ahead to explain how they are working on a way to be more helpful to their small corporate account holders... By small i mean having a monthly transaction of over 4m ooo. I asked what services they have for SME and he said their own SME must be grossing around 50million!!i went to uba, first bank and especially diamond bank and i can say if we had kept our account at either of those three most especially diamond in the last five years, the bank would have helped our business grow beyond this point.
So GTB is a good bank but i believe they have accrued so much wealth and client base that they don't care anymore about you if ur not with a strong capital base... IMO....
if you are entrepreneur...try DIAMOND BANK.

But i say again try UNITY BANK . Its the most smooth bank in terms of getting things done.

ccollins: The topic is even misleading, it should have been stock trials. Anyway kudos to my contemporary from unn.I am only wary that those investment geniuses are just virtual, had to read the article well to knw that the 50mill invested was not real
Did you expect them to give 50 million cash to every person who registered for the competition? see people oo

PhonesRe: Nokia Asha 501: First Phone On Nokia Asha OS by yinka2011: 11:34pm On May 09, 2013
I've been using iPhone for a while and before this I was using blackberry. But recently I saw my friends Nokia lumia 920 and I thought it was wonderful. Nokia have thousands of apps now and lumia's are simply amazing. It's windows so I can use excel word PowerPoint on the go.

Even the lumia 520 is simply amazing given its price.

And they recently drove a truck over a lumia and the phone did not even scratch.

InvestmentRe: NSE Orders Stockbrokers To Stop Informing Their Clients by yinka2011: 4:33pm On Mar 20, 2013
Seun: @222Martins: That is a very unfortunate justification, because you cannot protect people by making them ignorant.

The real reason is that they want to make money by licensing (i.e. selling) it. Is this good or bad? I don't know, but I would not dream of investing in any stock on the NSE without unrestricted access to their data. That is all.
On point.

nice article but that news is old news because NAIRA actually strengthened today to N 160.72/US Dollar. And the brent crude oil prices actually increased today. So its great news that Naira is rising and not falling. Please note.

I know this because i check the Naira exchange rates daily on the EASYKOBO.com finance website

Right now

USD - NGN = 160.72
GBP - NGN = 250.21
EUR - NGN = 197.37
