For some reason I fear Cape Verde more than South Africa. I don't know why
I only fear because coach isn’t rotating his players properly and it could come hunting if we are leading and a clinical team scores in the dying minutes
Momentum is a powerful force especially in times like that
Osimhen should have been taken off from minutes 70 so that fresh legs would kill the game with a counter attack goal or tirelessly high pressing
Osimhen didn’t look sharp and looked drained from the Cameroon game if you ask me
I believe he stretched his body beyond limits against Cameroon and didn’t recover fully for te Angola game
I wish the team luck
It’s a tough journey to the trophy
Ivory Coast, Cape Verde & South Africa won’t be easy

Can they press like Osimhen? Defend like Osimhen? Pass like Osimhen? Draw players away like Osimhen?

My brother, we dey press from opponent defense.
From 70th minute they can do that much more if you ask me
Fatigued Osimhen isn’t threatening to opponents
Like we saw against Angola
He couldn’t make the run when we had only Ademola & him against one Angolan in a counter attack

I’d watch the game today

E get people wey suppose give chance for this team after this Afcon

Aribo, Ojo, Uzoho, Onuachu, Sadiq Umar suppose clear road small make Ndidi, Okonkwo, Okoye, Boniface and Gift Orban Show face. Taiwo Awoniyi should return too. And we need a left back if we're going to continue playing this formation.

Zaidu Sanusi doesn't have the brains and Calvin Bassey doesn't have the lungs.

This should also be Ahmed Musa's swansong.
Insulting players isn’t good
It’s very difficult to run up & down the flanks

Coach Peseiro is not rotating these players properly & may cost us the finals

Osimhen is drained , didn’t do much in 2nd half
He hasn’t recovered fully from the Cameroon game where he gave 110%

The coach probably has beef with Moffi & Iheanacho

Semi Ajayi made a big mistake in the game by not tracking that Angolan, the crossbar saved us
Offside trap didn’t work at that point
Players should go for the ball sometimes instead of waiting for the ref to call it as off because a slight mistake could lead to a goal

Does Tunisia look like a southern African team?

I didn’t see that country in your list

Its just how sensitive/delicate these stages can be, and thats what is putting small caution in me…nobody believed keshi team tearing Mali apart 4-1 in semifinal, although we were confident of breezing past them since we took out CIV.
As far im concern No southern African team can stop us in an Afcon crucial knockout stage(Mozambique,Angola,SA,Namibia,Madagascar,Zambia, zimbabwe,Malawi) Taaah!.
I can fear North Africa/West Africa but u see all these COSAFA people..abeg forget them.
I understand that Afcon standards has been raised but then…forget jareee..
It will take a strong rival like (CIV,Sen,Cam,Gha,Alg,Egy) to stop a red hot 9ja side.
The last time out it took a weak Tunisia to boot Nigeria out

I just feel that the universe works in mysterious ways

Notice that when people are overly confident and borderline arrogant about a certain outcome, the opposite happens
We are not overconfident
I doubt you’ve watched Peseiro’s interviews lately
They are taking it one game at a time
He said any team in the tournament can win the trophy especially with the upsets they’ve seen so far
He did say Angolans are no joke because they won their group however he trusts his players to stick to the game plan & they’d get the job done.

I am predicting Nigeria 2 - 1 Angola in 90 minutes

I heard Osimhen and Ekong are doubtful for the match against Angola... How true is this?

Iheanacho, Moffi , Omeruo & Uzoho will do the job
They overstretched themselves in the last game against Cameroun
Ekong made a fantastic block with his left foot. That ball would have gone in if he didn’t make that tackle
We all know Osimhen gave over 100%
Was running like crazy. I knew he overstretched his body more than the Cameroonians that’s why we won
Hopefully they’d be back in the semis
I believe Moffi, Iheanacho, Omeruo & Uzoho will get the job done because they’ve not had up to 200 minutes in individually
So when called they’re expected to fight to the very end
We hope the rested guys recuperate for the semis and finals because I believe they’d be tougher than Angola

Normal 💪🏾
My brain can't even pretend and assume a situation where we lost. This game is a sure win for Nigeria. The boys know what's at stake. If they play with same energy as the Cameroon 🇨🇲 game, they might even spell "Ango", and leave them with the "la"...
I think it’s Goal-Goal but Nigeria to win in 90 minutes

No be to get cutlass for flag, you fit use am? 😤
Coach could use Uzoho because I doubt that Nwabali is springing properly in one week
Hopefully our defence protects the goal posts
If we give everything in this game Nigeria will win

If Joe Aribo isn’t careful this may be the last time Nigeria invites him
When the new season starts in august, that would be his chance to revamp his career and get back to creating chances and scoring goals

All the North Africans who participated in this Afcon are not serious.
Either that they are tired of being called Africans and wants to join Arabs as Morocco stated during world cup or they want to be on their own.
This attitude is deliberate.
Hoping this don’t happen to West Africans next year in Morocco 2025
