At the end of week 25 Redmi Note 10 Pro once more sits on top of GSM Arena trending chart, but the second-placed phone which is The Tecno Phantom X will certainly cause a few eyebrows to be raised.

The newly announced Tecno Phantom X reached popularity levels that the maker has never before achieved, so it might just be a real winner.

The smartphone industry never lacks changes and competition. As TECNO is gaining more and more reputation and attention in global markets, its relaunch of PHANTOM brand not only marks a jump forward of the brand to rival at higher-end market section, but also a significant change to the competitive landscape in global emerging markets.

The Phantom X is to be equipped with many industry firsts in target market segment, such as a 3D borderless screen, a special design of angle arc to present users with the best comfortable grip in hands, and an industry first curved glass surface etched texture, and more.

The Redmi Note 10 retains its third position ahead of the Poco X3 Pro, while the Mi 11 Lite has gained four positions to snatch fifth.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy A52 follow in sixth and seventh, while Poco F3 is in eight position.

Last week's runner-up, the OnePlus Nord CE is all the way down in ninth, while the Samsung Galaxy A32 returns to the chart to capture the last available spot.

That leaves no room for the Honor 50 Pro and Realme GT, but we may not have seen the last of those two.

The new device, The Phantom X, comes with lot of upgrades that bring a whole new dimension to the smartphone experience.
Presently, we went through Tecno Nigeria official website and could not find the full specifications of the Phantom X but we came across some specifications via Tecno mobile Ghana Twitter page.

From the Phantom X leaks revealed by Gizmochina, Tecno Phantom X will come with a 3D borderless screen and curved edge display. It sports a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP ultra night camera, a 13MP lens and 8MP camera lens. The selfie camera will be a 48MP+8MP dual-lens setup.

The Tecno Phantom X is backed by a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. It is expected to run on Tecno’s new HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 operating system. The device uses the powerful MediaTek Helio G95 processor. It is available in two colour variants, dark Grey and light yellow both paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as seen on the pre-order page.

Global Technology and Smartphone brand, OPPO recently announced a new memory expansion technology that allows users of Reno5 Series smartphones in Nigeria to temporarily increase the amount of RAM (Random Access Memory) in their devices.

The company recently released its Memory Expansion Technology, RAM Expansion, for its Reno5 Series smartphones, allowing users to temporarily convert part of their smartphone’s available ROM to virtual RAM, simply in one click at the phone’s settings App. Depending on the phone’s memory storage, users could also freely switch the level of RAM expansion according to their actual usage needs.

RAM is one of the fastest types of memory, allowing a device to quickly switch between tasks, meaning that the higher the amount of RAM a device has, the faster its response speed is. The amount of RAM a phone needs depends on what applications and features the consumer wants to use, including gaming, photography and video editing. Additional RAM gives the option of opening more applications in the background simultaneously, allowing the phone’s configuration to perform at its maximum capacity without freezing, hanging or overheating.

After carrying out a software update on the OPPO Reno5 Series (available from July), the RAM expansion function can be activated via the ‘About Phone’ section inside the settings App and carrying out a restart.

Why Tecno, infinix, and Gionee are always using IPS display not AMOLED?

IPS LCD is offers more natural colors than the AMOLED screens which can sometimes look a little over-saturated.
