Hello, I paid 5,000 euros to IUBH Berlin in January 2020 before my admission was confirmed. No appointment date since then. Now I asked for a refund as the embassy has not being issuing visa appointment dates, and that I can’t keep trying since Germans don’t want Nigerians in their country anymore, the school has refused to refund me saying that they can only refund if the visa was denied. I am asking cos I know according to their regulations, EU students are exempted from applying for German student visas..

In Belgium you have a Schengen Visa. So you are covered.. you don't need to get another Visa to move to Deutschland... but then if you are in Belgium you are supposed to know that you can go to Deutschland via train without Visa checks.... have you heard of European Union before??

So go to the above sites and settle on some school(s).
Then look up their requirements. Then drop your Applications accordingly.

That they are not giving dates is not my problem... They can as well stop the Free education. That they don't give out information on the current situation is the part I find annoying.... Well they know what we know.. they know it's the free education that is attracting us.. and that many of us are not really going to school but to escape poverty ....

So how come only person in Categorie B was given a date for Interview..?? Could it be that because our numbers are so high and the Consulate has a specific number of candidates they can interview they decided to attend to only Scholarship holders That is my believe.. so how do we get Scholarship now??

Summer Semester 2019 + Winter Semester 2020 + Summer Semester 2021. Between 3000 to 5000 students in Nigeria will be waiting for Deutschland Visa Interview date by March 2021..

The Consulate only knows you. They don't recognize your family members.... you can't go with family members

Please I need your honest advice.

I got admission to Frankfurt University of Applied sciences.

I have booked an appointment but yet to get any response from the embassy, the school has given us a deadline for payment of semester fee which is this month end, if the fee is not paid on or before then the admission would be forfeited.

Please should I go on to pay the semester fee, despite the fact that we are not sure when we will get an appointment date

Or should I just defer the admission till next summer?

Quite confused about this, please I need advice on this.

If the amount involved is less than 30,000 Naira and you can forfeit it then pay if not don't pay

You don't need to change your name since you are not married yet. Use your maiden name for your applications as you cant even change the name on your passport if you do not provide marriage certs, newspaper publication etc.

After marriage you can now attach new documentation to your old documents showing your new name. This is legal and acceptable anywhere in the world.

You can do a change of name advert in News paper ... but leave your old documents like that. Just hold the change of name news paper to back up any new documents you want to fill with the your husband name.

You dont need health insurance for visa interview. What the embassy will ask you to provide is your travelling insurance and that one is after your interview, when the they have approved your visa, they will ask you to send your travelling insurance and international passport

Please these folks doing health Insurance up and down are you people in Nigeria or Germany or inbetween Nigeria and Germany?? Germany will make money from us las las. When we are not even sure they will interview anyone this year. Some are taking German/Nigeria Health Insurance.

Started my application for the first time for this winter, was able to complete 3 schools, I have gotten 2 rejections at the moment waiting for the last one.


I studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering
CGPA is 3.40 on a scale of 5
IELTS score is 6.5

I'm interested in any Electrical Engineering related course(I just need admission).

At this point, I'm determine to start all over again for the summer and I sincerely plead for the assistance from the profs in the house on the schools that can consider my qualifications..
