if it is boot device not found, then your hard drive is most likely the culprit. On rare occasions, the problem may also be as a result of a faulty motherboard.
First get your hard drive out and replace it again. Your hard drive may have shifted from its position as a result of moving it here and there. So just remove the hard drive and replace it again. Remember to remove your battery and charger from the system before doing this.
if that doesn't solve it, try the following.

You can diagnose the problem by getting a working hard drive from a friend and testing it on your system.
If it works, your hard drive is bad. if it doesn't , then your mother needs examination.

when you say blank , do you mean the laptop is not displaying any written letters or just a white screen?

If that is the case, then you have a screen problem/ signal cable/ board problem on your hands.

On the other hand , if you can see the brand logo of your laptop ( e.g HP, Toshiba, Samsung, Dell) when you switch on the laptop, but not booting to the logon page, then that is a different problem entirely.

Please oooooh,all engineers in the house,i have issue with my laptop ooooooo,intialy i was using unscreen keyboard to login with my password becos some of the keyboard is not working and i dont hv money to change the keyboard,now another issue is dat i dont no what my little brother press on the laptop when they are watching movies becos the laptop is now display blank no where to login as usual in order to hv access to desktop,please help me ooooooooo......

I was in Dubai late last yr on a 5 day business trip (November 21st to 26th). I must confess..it was a real eye opener for me. Now i know we got a big problem in this country cuzz almost everything works over there. It a haven / pasttime paradise for businessmen.

My Dad was setting up a telecomms business and i was given the contract to furnish him with phones and accessories. I spent almost 190,000N for the trip (visa, ticket, hotel accomodation and got myself lovely gearz). I got phones worth over 8M (shipped down via emirates air cargo) and still had lil sum'n sum'n left. I would say the entire trip was hassle free from the ports. Everything was ridiculosly cheap. Traders got to see Dubai.

I got goods there very cheap. Dubai is a free trade zone... (taxes almost non existent). Virtually ever company in the world worth its salt has an office in Dubai. Plus the city has the worlds only 7 star hotel - Burj Al Arab hotel.

I also met a Nigerian my age (24) who really lives big there. he works in an IT firm specializing in cold fusion technology and he earns..wait for this.US$9000 monthly.

I think its a land of opportunities. Ever been to Dubai? What were your experiences.

The same thing happen to me,fast forward i recieve dia invitation for the so call test/interview last yr, eventually i pass the test and interview and proceed to documentation after dat i resign from where i was working before becos i believe that having pass test and interview to the stage of documentation i though dat i hv landed the job,it was d day i submitted my documentation i beginning to regret about ICSL,when i was told by Emeka that dey would get back to me,i feel like bite him with my teeth on that faithfull day,6month later i was call for a relief role with a promise by "Mr Richard" dat once i complete two weeks relief role job @ access bank with a pay of 15k,they surely get me my dream job,they contacted all my gaurantor telling them that am now working in access bank plc,the most painful part of the story is that non of my gaurantor belief me till now that am not working in bank becos they dont understand the term and condition that apply to the job.next month would make 1yr dat i loss my job becos of ICLS unrealistic job offer,now am working as a security guard becos i can't beg to feed myself and my wife is now a mother to be,I pray dat god almighty answer my prayer 'Amin'

I can never forgive your oganization with what they did to me last year. After making me to resigned my job and rendered me jobles, your organization asked me to raised a 6k draft for my result screening which I did. You went to meet all my gaurantors to tell them I offered me a job even despite you don't have a single offer for all of us that did that interview. Uptill now no job for me. I resigned all because you people called me that you have gotten a job for me @ sterling bank not knowing you are decieving all of us then. It was pained cause I spent almost 5months at home with a nursing mother without food. And u collected my 6k draft. (Richard and the other guy behave as if they are god. Bt have forgotten this life is in circle we will all meet again @ the top)Though am living fine now cause I now have my own business and am paying 2people working under me. But I handover that case to God because of what u people make me to pass trough. If you know there is job available, stop wasting peoples time and money.

Here is the issue i do encounter when i am saving a file from my desktop to enter device like flash drive,once i copy d particular file or music dat i want to transfer to flash or memory card and paste it on flash or memory card with the use of card reader it would automatically double the file and also change it to shortcut even music and if i try to open the file in another system the file wouldn't open and likewise music it would not play,that why i adopt ur system of cmd method of remove shortcut permanent,please help what exaclt am i doing wrong?

Before you download another antivirus in your system, uninstall the one there first.

I recommend Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Use Google search to search and download from the developers site.
