This is a lie and the police should stop parading the so-called thieves who are actually victims of police torture. He might admit he is a thief, but he would not say he stole N2.3 million. That's pure common sense. The story is a lie and journalists should stop feeding the public with these ludicrous stories. Reading this same story either in punch, tribune or vanguard. The guy is said to be a drug addict and he was said to have claimed that he worked alone in his thefts. So, where did the police now get "fleeing accomplices" from? Conclusively its safe to say, there is no truth in this news. If indeed the man made such a confession it must have been done under duress. Nigeria police are known for writing statements and making victims to sign them or torture them to submission. Nigerian police is a shame and a disgrace to the nation. |

Typing Never imagined dividend of Change could arrive so quickly even before Buhari gets the key to Aso Rock. This sort of speedy action by Diezani is what happens when you have purposeful leadership at the top. Mere threat of imprisonment works. It is also shameful that, rather than talk of pushing back, Mrs. Madueke should be telling Nigerians why the money did not make it into the Federation account in the first place. 1. Why did it take forensic accountants to find the money,. 2. How many more forensic accounting needs to be conducted to see where Nigeria's money has is? 3. How long has the NNPC been sitting on that pile of cash,. 4. Who controlled the account the money was sitting in. 5. How much interest has accrued?. 6. Where is it the interest payments? 7. Did the outgoing President know about NNPC sitting on the money, who else knew what was going on? 8. Is this part of the money that was alleged by now Emir Sanusi II that was stolen or unaccounted for? Reporters should ask these officials tough questions and not just report what they say. No one is answering any question on this billion dollar questions. Lastly The time has come that, President Buhari needs to seriously look into gradually phasing out the importation of petroleum products. We simply have no business importing them. We have a vast network of NNPC pipelines and depots that have been deliberately ruined by the powers that be. The refineries should be made to function for once. We waste a lot of scarce foreign currencies importing needelessly. The best way to shore up the value of the naira is by looking inwards and increasing wealth generation within the country. Not by having "containers on the high sea." and killing the local industry. |
Texcoco:I just see people rambling, about Hausa - Fulani/ Islamic Nepotism. This has nothing to do with that. Abba was promoted to serve a purpose, something he was doing rather well until the last few weeks, when he started to actually do part of his job. Abba Moro was not promoted to please Northern Muslim Hausa-Fulani, he was promoted to do a hatchet job for GEJ and PDP because of his past history as Aide de Camp to Mariam Abacha, something he did rather well until the general elections. Your way of looking at Nigeria is the reason why all the brigands (hausa, yoruba, Igbo, nupe, igala, efik, muslim, Christian etc.) have been able to plunder Nigeria. The simple truth is that their good and bad people regardless of race, creed and colour. I believe this is an excellent relative justice that is been observed. Same way Minima was promoted and 35 of his seniors has to go. The problem is that the men in uniform are no longer serving the nation but individuals as such any leader will need who will be loyal to him not to the nation. The involvement of uniform personnel into politics create the problem of their dishonest, distrust and franchise. However there is hope as the next adminstration will try to appoint officers at and when they are due. The general will make a difference. |
Itzlinda:There is no point sticking with the NIQS. Belief me its not worth it. The organisation is just plane useless and they are not ready to move forward. Till DATE THEY HAVE LESS THAN 3000 Quantity surveyors all cause of the way the org has gone about the whole NIQS Thing. Just imagine an organisation asking you of 3 years of practise under a senior Quantity Surveyor before you can begin writing its exam. Imagine A body asking you to attend high record fee breaking seminars of up to 80k and making it a perquisite to acquiring her profession certificate. ( Note even if you attend the seminars now the points wont start counting till two years after practice under a senior quantity surveyor or you must have written Test of professional confidence). Also note once you get the NIQS Certificate, you cant practice anywhere outside Nigeria, not even in Ghana. The organisation is still not ready to sign MOU with other international bodies they rather go around decieveing themselves as future cost building accountants. The organisation is another name for corruption, if you get affiliated with firms Like Kowa and Associates, you will see that getting an NIQS Certification is easy without stress. Last year scandal where two kowa staffs were given certficate and the organisation mobbed it up. Even the first Professor of Quantity Surveying in Africa ( Prof. T. C Mogbo) , he his just a member of the NIQS and not even a fellow. Mogbo however is a fellow of the royal institute. I will advice you that if you are interested in this certification , then go for the RICS and RICS Alone, its around 200Pounds and you wriete your exams online, simple no stress it also gies you recognition. I think RICS is affiliated with Readings Uni.( Cant really recall which). The NIQS still have a long way to go. I just wished the body had allowed El -Rufai suggestions to be implemented. But no they never wanted it. They believe he his an RICS Member. Dear go get the RICS, With that you are automatically qualified to practise anywhere. Even in nigeria. But NIQS is a no no. i dont mean to kill your interest just my own view and i believe 99% its the truth |

Typing The minute Olisa metuh started the Islamic party narrative, PDP faith was sealed. That point, He ruined Jonathan's chances.. Olisa clearly does not exhibit sensitivity neither does he understand the political scenery which he resides in, this clearly shows his inability to hold a sensitive office.. As I have always said, GEJ lack of basic rudiments of governance, this affected his ability to see the bigger picture.. By allowing miscreants like yourself, FFK, Gulak, Okupe to speak and represent his view clearly shows how political naive he was.. Politics is about bridging bridges not pulling them down as you and the other aides see's it. The result is glaring for all to see. |

ACCA / ican |
Hi , I am interested in getting an ICAN certificate, however am confused on some issues. 1. I just heard of ACCA and while reading through threads on nairaland. May adviced ACCA to ICAN while others advised ICAN to ACCA. My question is which should I go for? 2. For a non accounting student how do I start? 3. If am ready to sit for the exams , when will the next exam kick off? I know there are two diets ( May / November ) however I am confused as to which is which. Thanks. Cc: Jarus |
MuguliciousMUGU:Man that's not his room that is the hotel he lodge while he visited bayelsa / rivers during the presidential campaign. |

have been wondering how long buruji kashamu's senatorship will last.but I can see now he might not be sworn-in after all. How have the mighty fallen. If I were his son,I would advise him to quietly relocate to his former base in Benin republic. This was how some who were in the know of the calamity that befell Morris Ibekwe advised him then but he refused to see reason. omo ta ba we fun, olorun Oba ko je ko gbor. A word is enough for the wise! |
Tyoing Umeh is only crying over spilled milk. Jonathan refused to listen to people who meant well for PDP. First among them is Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, secondly, Rotimi Amaechi, Rabiu Kwankwanso etc. The likes of Akpabio gave the president the childish hope that all was well. Frustrating Obasanjo and co out of PDP and believing that the likes of Chief Edwin Clark, Asari Dokunbo, his own wife, Godswill Akpabio, Buruji Kasamu, Raymond Dokpesi, Femi Fanikayode, Obas, Pastors, Ibrahim Babangida etc, could help him win election. Buhari has never lost election in the core North. Except we want to deceive ourselves, this administration is too corrupt. Lest I forget, the campain strategy of the PDP was another boost to General Buhari's popularity. Instead of people like Umeh to tell President Jonathan then to fight corruption, his kinsmen were busy shouting GEJ till 2019. What just happened to PDP is a big lesson for all politicials. Umeh, stop crying over spilled milk. |
As long as it affects gtbank arm happy |
