ElSherriff: Mr. Phoool, (The bible says this of atheist, sorry), Who takes the Bible serious? A book where snakes were talking, men sleeping around on sanctions action from pseudo god, god is jealous of others, where virginsvjust magically conceive? etc You mean the Bible whose initial version was written by a gay? King James? Your stupid Bible that glorifies a bastard call Jesus Christ. Pls oreach the Bible to your sheeple believers not me. Cause you hit the wrong turn, and if you are so vexed with my opinions. They are strictly mine and mine alone. |

Singapore1: truth hurts...
the types of business he is doing gives no room for innovation, however i disagree with the idea of not starting small... i had an idea around last year and i approached a lot of investors ... they were afraid to invest in it.. it was when i started with the little i had and they saw the profit ..that was when they all rushed in ( though it was temporary business )
talking about innovation .. he can't improve in this type of business except to expand his shop and buy more shoes ..that's all ... but this type of business doesn't have room for innovation Thank you brother.
You see some people won't understand untill they get to experience things for themselves.
There are two type of people. Those who learn from their experience and those who learn from others experience. In Nigeria when you tell someone something unpleasing to his / her ears. You are called names. |

maasoap: According to your own past posts and admission on nairaland, you yourself are still lacking in this department. So, show the guy some love. Yes bro. My past post are not businesses. They are just at moment survival efforts. I learnt the hard way and do not want him to make same hard mistakes I did.
That's truth. |

Imagineers: Is there anything wrong in starting small to garner experience? I bet you are not worth more than the shirt you are wearing.
When you want to start swimming, you begin from the shallow end of the river. Rome was not built in a day Truth be told I am actually even look for my first 100k to go into business.... I am a graduate still looking for job. So yes you are right I ain't worth more than the shirt. Would you mind sparing me 2 or more shirts?
Now, big is a subjective word not objective one.
Thanks |

ElSherriff: Where in your relaxer brain did you not see that he said in his vicinity there is not an exclusive shoe shop?
He has not told you all his strategies because he is a business man and should keep that to himself.
You just wanted to tell us you travelled abroad recently. I know of someone, same Edo State who started a small shop for just inner wears, he has expanded same business to a real time boutique with other branches that his wife manages.
You bloody pumped up kill joy. If you so good in business, these comments would be on a business journal you created not on Seun's plantform. Ozuo elimhin elimhin Mr man, Whatever you want to say. I have said my opinion and view and if you not happy with it, then am sorry go meet someone to kiss sweet melodies into your ears. Last I checked this is a platform for everyone to make a comment and next time when you want to insult me do it in English and stop giving your tribe a bad name. This is one of the reasons some people labeled your tribe 5% and show hatred. Rubbish |

computerboy: It is a business. What you said will happen only if the poster just want to be an average shoe seller, limited in thoughts and have no long term plans. The shoe business in Nigeria still got untapped potentials.
@Poster never stop growing till Nigerians will have no need buying Gucci and Zara The mistakes we all do today is we still believe in start small and go big. Some of these quotes now are outdated.
It should be start big and go bigger.
He can never go to the likes of Gucci and Zara in that manner. If I will take him serious to the likes of Gucci and Zara then I expect him creating a single shoe, launching seminar, detailed explanation of how the shoe came about, why we should pay so much for it etc.
Standards when high becomes a low after time and are built on. Here he has failed to create such.
Standards starts from the beginning.

bizza45: this is the d type of stuff I need to c on nairaland not all the tribalistic people and all ladies that can only talk in romance section Accept it or not in Nigeria's businesses of today tribalism is now a very key factor in growth.
A key example is the Aviation sector, Also the supermarket Giants, like of Sahad store by Mai Kanti, Next Cash Carry by Peter Obi, Nadrem Supermarket and likes. In this business from their banking partners down to logistics is now determined by tribe.
So bro it's essential use it to your favour. |

Mission2prosper: what do you advice sir? vivalavida: Deep words from a man who has seen it all Explain better bro OldBeer: Please explain more. This business is akin to a day to day kiosk where one opens a mini store and claims he owns a business.
In business of these nature, people will only be happy for you on the first week and second week after then you begin to questions investment and slow pace of sale and on going.
Business of these nature do not spur growth they kill growth and innovation.I expected O.P to add more to his ideas and promote it. A business where you can't give a projected estimate of where you did be in a certain period of time is not a business.
There are several ways he can reform his business still based on the shoes but now a different idea entirely.
What the O.P just did in all honesty is create another Shop on the streets without solving a problem.....
Some time two months ago while I was at a summit outside the country, a man said Nigerians have tons of entrepreneurs but they all lack one thing.- The ability to tell you what the problem their business are addressing.
If the O.P can state problem is business is addressing and work on this well he can succeed well.
Oh some might say capital is needed. Capital shouldn't be a problem, the idea is.
Thanks |

Angelanest: Parents of this little baby suffering from a medical condition known as Hydrocephalus are lamenting after being unable to take care of their child medically due to financial restraints. According to reports, the little baby who was delivered last month in Jos, Plateau state - has been in pains following the gathering of fluids in her brain and also her back.
Hydrocephalus is a brain condition that happens when cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) — the clear, watery fluid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord — can't drain from the brain. It then pools, causing a buildup of fluid in the skull.
Hydrocephalus (also called "water on the brain" can make babies' and young children's heads swell to make room for the excess fluid. Older kids, whose skull bones have matured and fused together, have painful headaches from the increased pressure in the head.
