SportsArsenal Keeping An Eye On Nigeria Wonderkid Iheanacho by yoged(op): 3:58pm On Oct 28, 2013
Reported by Soriebah Kajue: Arsenal are monitoring Nigeria wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho after his four-goal haul against Mexico in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
Iheanacho, 17, shot to the top of the scoring charts in the competition with a brilliant display against the south-Americans in their opening group game. Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley is out in the United Arab Emirates watching the tournament and is known to be impressed by the midfielder.
Arsenal will have to move swiftly to seal a deal for
the teenager as his performance has alerted a host of Europe’s elite teams to his ability.
A move to Arsene Wenger’s side would appeal to
Iheanacho who aspires to grace the Premier League,
which is widely watched in Nigeria. Source : www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2476971/FOOTBALL-9-5--Rolling-news-service-October-28-Manchester-City-v-Chelsea-fall-Capital-One-Cup-previews.html

CareerFolorunsho Alakija Unseats Oprah Winfrey As The Richest Black Woman In The World by yoged(op):
Move over Oprah, Nigerian oil tycoon Folorunsho Alakija is now the richest black woman in the world with an estimated fortune of $7.3 billion.
Africa boasts 55 billionaires - far more than previously thought - and they're worth a staggering $143.88 billion in total, according to pan-African magazine Ventures Africa.
Starting her career as a secretary in a bank in the mid 1970s, Alakija, 62, then studied fashion in London and returned to Nigeria to start a label, Supreme Stitches. But her biggest break came in oil. In 1993, her company, Famfa Oil, was awarded an oil prospecting license, which later became OML 127, one of the country's most prolific oil blocks, by then-president Ibrahim Babangida. The company owned a 60 per cent stake in the block until 2000 when the Nigerian government unconstitutionally acquired a 50 per cent interest without duly compensating Alakija or Famda Oil.
In May 2012, Alakija, a married mother-of-four, challenged the acquisition and the Nigerian Supreme Court reinstated the 50 per cent stake to her company. She also has a charity called the Rose of Sharon foundation that helps widows and orphans by empowering them through scholarships and business grants.
Forbes magazine had estimated Alakija's fortune at $600 million, as of November 2012, but the magazine's editor-in-chief Uzodinma Iweala said his researchers were 'closer to the ground.'
They noted that Brazilian oil company, Petrobas, was looking to sell its 8 per cent stake in OML 127 for $1.5- $2.5 billion, and extrapolated that if they managed to sell it for $1 billion, Alakija's 60 per cent stake would be worth at least $7.3 billion.
Iweala claims this and other estimates included in the report are actually 'on the conservative side' and said the magazine expect to unearth more African billionaires shortly.
The overall richest African is Nigerian manufacturer Aliko Dangote who is worth $20.2 billion. Twenty Nigerians are listed in total.
According to Forbes, Oprah Winfrey is worth $2.9 billion.

Christianity EtcRe: Man Shoots At Jehovah Witnesses For Visiting by yoged(m): 2:12pm On Oct 04, 2013
I am proud to be one of jehovah's witnesses. Yeahhh, people dont like us but we still love everyone. I can guarantee that man, jehovah's witnesses will still visit his house, it might not be the same people... He shud thank his God because they won't press charges or seek for compensation. Our preaching work is a command by jesus christ which its important for all christians to do. Its important we do that. Well, we dont force people to listen to us. Its a choice. If you dont want to listen or you are busy, we'll leave or drop a magazine which we dont sell, its voluntary contribution. But if you dont have money but wish to read it. We'll give it to you...... Next time you see them coming, kindly listen to them, and if you dont want to listen to them. Tell them to please leave. May Jehovah God keep protecting everyone of us.
