floridam: O yes I will. You lied. Bola Ige performed better. The guy was being driven by his selfish interest of wanting to acquire some parts of PHCN. So all he was trying to was to put government money together and use it to buy government property but most Nigerians won't see it that. Most Nigerians think about now and not the future. Greed aside, I'll want him but the truth is he was using his expertise to deceive Nigerians. |

Ok one of my bross just came tha day and told me and my friends to pick the last two digits of the year I was born and add it to how old I clock this year that I will arrive at 112. Everybody did it and it gave us 112 each. I found it crazy but I was told it happens only once in a century. It may not apply to those born from year 2000 though. |

Dear ACM10, I often experience severe sharp pains in my chest region on the very inside and atimes, right through the chest to the back. I consulted a doctor and I was told to do a chest x-ray which I did but it revealed that everything is normal so I was given Gestid but the pains persist. What do I do? Is it possible you drop your number for more discussion. Thanks for your anticipated response. |

musKeeto: Lol.. what darkness? To another darkness? Where you worship another man's God? Lol..The talk of the religion thing self tire me. No be because of religion some pple are killing others? My brother, the calamity religion causes, is it able to profer solutions to it? |
dvdon: If all nigerian youths can be like dis guys we won't have curropt leaders anymoreThere is a difference between being religious and being Godly. I read a report recently on naira that tends to show that aethist live more peacefully than religious people. Someone may not be going to church or mosque but yet operates a kind of principle that considers the welfare of others as a great deal. |
Ayomax: u guys are yet to answer my question, wht abt born again kings we have in the bible? they were king and they served only one God. shey dey get two heads ni?I wonder why you should compare a case of an African King to that of biblical Solomon and so on when the story is actually of biblical context. Their stories begin from creation and we could see that God's names(including Jesus and Holy Spirit) featured right fro creation through the time that God himself started kings for them. On the side of Africa, however, ogun and those other names have always featured. The traditional festivities and what we would refer to as 'fetish' have always featured. How do we then reconcile the opposing cultures? The culture of the bible is different to that of our fore-fathers. Although there is always room for comparism but you may never find answers because the cases have opposing origins. I feel for the king, trying to entrench Christianity into such a system. Well... I am trying not to be profane so I'll say, 'Dear God, help your son in need.' |
Okija_juju: Topic Renamed.. Irate Yoruba Youths lynch Born-again King for refusing to marry another wife, join a Yoruba cult and banning all Owambe parties..The Igbos! Always trying to turn anything that concerns the Yorubas into tribal thing. You dey beef this unfortunate occurrence again? |
pazienza: Yoruba guy broke a record at a crappy unknown turkey abi na chicken university,an igbo guy broke a record at john hopkins.Surely, we are not on the same level with Yoruba people.Well as far I am cocerned, the topic says ' a Nigerian student' not 'a Yoruba student'. For ibo people to start ranting on Nairaland only shows who is how inferior they feel. |
qualified: I didn't waste precious time to read ur 'tribalistic' story. What is 'yoruba' doing in d title?I checked the title to confirm if 'yoruba' is there but its 'turkish' I see. The only thing that suggests the he is Yoruba is only his names and that of his father. I guess you feel so bitter that you cant replace the guy's name with a name from your village. If I guess right, you will be igbo. Recenlty, it was northern leaders that warned President 'Ebele' Goodluck that his government is marginalising the Yorubas. Barth Nnaji, outgone minister of power is Igbo, Diezani Madueke, Okojo Iweala... Igbos are heading the ministries that matter a lot to this country and just because of a boy with a high accolade is Yoruba, you suddenly showcase how hopeless you could be. If not that I work with some ibos that are actually reasonable people, I would have they are all the same but I guess you are just one of the sick-headed ones. And if you feel you cant tolerate people of other origin, you log out of nairaland and never come back just because the owner is Yoruba. |
