With Atiku in the Aso Rock, we won’t have to wake up every morning worrying about policy inconsistencies and the attendant impact on our lives, nor will we have the fear that he will make decisions based on sentiments. Having Atiku as president will be having a man that knows the problem and has the right plans to address it. Nigeria will be a better place with Atiku as president.

No Nigerian Should Take Tinubu Serious; His Health, Early School Are Shrouded In Secrecy – PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku

This is most especially as it has been observed on several occasions that he (Tinubu) finds it difficult to hold things firmly.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has made mockery of the health condition of his counterpart, Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking with TheCable through his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, on Monday, Atiku said that Nigerians should take any presidential candidate whose health is “shrouded in secrecy” seriously.

Atiku made the comment while reacting to a recent comment by Tinubu, who while speaking on Sunday at an interactive session with members of the Tijjaniyyah sect in Kano State where he said he would give 100 percent of his time to Nigerians and would not be a part-time president who stays between Dubai and Nigeria.

Tinubu’s comment was apparently directed at Atiku who has been criticised for spending most of his time in Dubai since 2019 when he lost his presidential bid to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ibe told TheCable that Tinubu’s comment shouldn’t be taken seriously and that “The president of Nigeria, the most populous country in the black continent, is not for comedians.

“The process of selecting a president is not a jamboree so the earlier the APC puts its house together and starts by having a council in place. They shouldn’t be taken seriously because of their inability to organise.

“Nobody should take the candidate of that party (APC) seriously. No one should take a candidate and a party whose health situation, early school, and early years are all shrouded in secrecy. No one should take such a candidate seriously.”

Recall that Tinubu’s state of health has raised serious concerns and questions amongst Nigerians and many have argued that he might have been afflicted with Parkinson’s disease — a disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement, often including tremors.

This is most especially as it has been observed on several occasions that he (Tinubu) finds it difficult to hold things firmly.

#Facts 2. Tinubu is a convicted drug baron. He is free today simoly because he agreed to forfiet $460,000 drug proceeds found in his accounts, and also cos become an informant to the FBI.

#Facts 3. Tinubu was/ is a drug dealer, no amount of propaganda by the APC, Osibanjo and Tinubu e rats can change his narrative or stain him.
Politics / Re: N’east Leads As Terrorists, Others Kill 53,418 Nigerians Under Buhari by yomi961: 8:17am On Oct 23, 2022
If Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, becomes president next year, it is not only his exclusionist Muslim-Muslin presidency that would unsettle Nigeria, but also his would-be deputy, Alhaji Kashim Shettima. With Shettima’s inherent tetchiness and truculence, he would be gratuitously provocative. And with his uncouthness and indiscretion, he would be utterly divisive and toxifying. Truth is, a Vice-President Shettima would be unlike any civilian vice-president in Nigeria’s history.

But that proposition stands on another critical one that we must discuss first, namely: no previous presidential candidate in Nigeria did what Tinubu has done. I’m not referring to the devilry of his Muslim-Muslim ticket. Rather, I’m talking about his deliberate decision to pick a long-standing political ally and close associate as his running-mate. None of the past leading presidential candidates behaved in that manner.

Consider the evidence. Shehu Shagari barely personally knew Alex Ekwueme before making him his running-mate; MKO Abiola had no prior close political or personal relationship with Baba Gana Kingibe; Olusegun Obasanjo was not Atiku Abubakar’s buddy; Umaru Musa Yar’Adua hardly personally knew Goodluck Jonathan; Jonathan himself had no prior long-standing political or personal relationship with Namadi Sambo; and Muhammadu Buhari wouldn’t, prior to 2015, regard Osinbajo as a political soulmate.

But Tinubu puts personal friendship and loyalty above all else. As Lagos State governor, Tinubu had three deputy governors within eight years, having triggered the impeachments of two of them. So, a plausible interpretation is that he doesn’t want to work with a vice-president with whom he has no cosy, bonded relationship. Thus, he picked as running-mate a long-standing political ally, who ran his presidential primary campaign and was neck-deep in the shenanigans that secured him victory.

Given Tinubu’s style of politics, this is potentially dangerous. His feudalisation of Lagos State politics and government is based on treating the state as a personal fiefdom, whereby he, the feudal lord, is surrounded by ultra-loyal serfs, who all seem to have sworn to an oath of secrecy. There must be real fear that a President Tinubu and a Vice-President Shettima would put their personal loyalty above open government; that their cosiness would trump good governance. Sadly, the omens are bad!

Recently, Shettima audaciously carved out functions between himself and Tinubu. He said that if they won next year, he would be “in charge of” security while Tinubu would handle the economy. Essentially, Shettima was reversing the traditional and constitutional roles of president and vice-president. Traditionally and constitutionally, the vice-president, as chairman of the National Economic Council and head of the Economic Management Committee, leads on the economy, albeit reporting to the president. But the president, as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, is undisputedly in charge of national security. For a vice-president to be “in charge of” security, he must have control over the security chiefs, who are usually answerable to the Commander-in-Chief. A feasible proposition? No, it’s a recipe for utter dysfunctionality!

Indeed, come to think of it. Why would someone who, as state governor, ignored intelligence warnings about the abduction of the 276 Chibok girls in 2014, some of whom still remain in captivity, be so arrogant and insensitive as to say he would be “in charge of” security if he became vice president? And why would a presidential candidate that prioritises the national interest agree to such a warped idea from his running-mate? No previous vice-presidential candidate displayed such a muscular and ambitious tendency.

But, in truth, there are worrying parallels between Tinubu and Shettima. Last week, Shettima listed Tinubu’s attributes that he admires. Speaking at the 96th anniversary celebration of the Yoruba Tennis Club in Ikoyi, Lagos, on September 15, Shettima said, among other things, that Tinubu has General Ibrahim Babangida’s “situational pragmatism and Maradonic skills” and General Sani Abacha’s “taciturnity and ruthlessness”.

Of course, considering how Tinubu manoeuvred his party’s leadership, delegates, and fellow aspirants to secure the presidential ticket, none would doubt his Maradonic or Machiavellian skills. And seeing how he turned Lagos State into a captive fiefdom, his ruthlessness can never be questioned. Taciturnity? Well, try and ask Tinubu about his past. These are the qualities Shettima praised to high heaven, but they are not the attributes Nigerians need in their leader.

Which brings us to Shettima himself. What are his unique attributes? And are they fit for purpose? Well, first, there’s a consensus that the former Borno State governor, who holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural economics, is well read and eloquent, with a fondness for quoting great authors. But as Isaiah Berlin says in his great essay ‘The Hedgehog and the Fox’, knowledge is not wisdom. Knowledge is having considerable information; wisdom is using it in a way that shows good judgement.

Unfortunately, Shettima often doesn’t exercise wisdom in his words and actions. He showed this character flaw during his aggressive management of Tinubu’s presidential primary campaign when he insulted virtually every opponent, including saying that “nice men” like Vice President Yemi Osinbajo “should be selling popcorn and ice-cream”. He showed it when he wore sneakers to the annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, later boasting that he did so “deliberately” to “mock” his detractors. Hardly vice-presidential!

But if those examples are trivial, consider this. The only defining issue in Nigeria today is restructuring. But what did Shettima say about it? In a viral video, he said: “Restructuring my foot.” Really? Dismissing such a critical national issue so uncouthly?

All this matters because, truth be told, if Tinubu wins next year, Nigeria would be more turbulent and divided than it has been under President Buhari. In such circumstances, a belligerent vice-president with a tendency for tetchiness would exacerbate the situation. Nigeria is inherently volatile and prone to crisis. It needs a calm and thoughtful vice-president who can help douse tension, not one that will inflame it through reckless and provocative comments. Shettima simply doesn’t fit the bill.

My dear Christians, it has been clear to us from the onset that APC, Bola and Kashim never had the intention or plan that offers the Northern Christians any sense of inclusion through any tangible roles in their government”.

“Those with major political influence on them are mostly religious bigots of the hegemonist flavour and some self-centred sycophants of the evil kind. So instead of reconciliation which would involve offering some important positions to Northern Christians, they have decided to go for broke and ignore the interests of Christians of the North”, he emphasized.

He further stressed that, “And, broken they will be indeed. We noticed this trend in APC right from its registration in 2014 up to the 2022 convention where the overriding goal seemed to have been to exclude northern Christians from all the organs of the party”.

“How anyone expects APC to win the 2023 presidential election under this climate befuddles the mind. I do not know why this saying keeps coming to mind: “those whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad” but it bears restating. It is a pity that Bola has chosen to throw away the Presidency which was within his easy reach to grab”, he added.

According to Babachir Lawal, “As for us northern Christians and other Nigerians who share in our vision of a united and peaceful Nigeria devoid of tribal and religious exclusion, we will continue with our struggle and are very very confident of victory. After all, the God who allowed Nigeria to be inhabited by a multi-religious and multi-ethnic society intended that we all should live in peace and harmony as brothers and sisters all created in the image of God”.

He declared that, “We are on a mission from God and are confident of victory. So, we fear no one and can be intimidated by no one. We are confident that Nigerians, especially sensible Northern Nigerians, will come to appreciate this fight for justice, equality and peaceful co-existence”.

The former SGF explained that, “Quite a number of Nigerians have reached out to Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara and I and to some of the leaders in our eminent group of Northern Christian politicians to sheath our swords and instead go for negotiations with the APC. I now want to respond to this” .

According to him, “We have so far not taken the road to reconciliation because in the first instance, neither the APC as a party nor its presidential candidate has bothered to seek us out for reconciliation even though early on, our doors were left open for such. We only get to learn of their views through vile propaganda in the media courtesy of their rabid attack hogs whom they have procured in abundance”.

“There are of course some “Christian” turncoats and “Judases” who, driven either by moral turpitude, poverty or greed, have hired themselves out as agents and spoilers of this noble Christian course. To this group, I wish to recommend the study of the biographies of Judas Iscariot and Ahithophel in the Bible. Be careful to note how their lives ended”, he added.

He then expressed determination saying, “We are buoyed by Psalm 2:1-4 which reads thus: “Why do the nations rage and the peoples’ plot in vain? The Kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take council together against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying ‘let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us’. He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derisions” (ESV). “Aluta continua victoria ascerta

What "ruthlessness" was this BH kingpin demonstrating when he openly elevated the Borno state commissioner of education under his reign shortly after the infamous Chibok school girls kidnap instead of demoting or sacking her from the state civil service and handing over for criminal prosecution for abandoning her students to such cruel fate while her own daughters were ferried to safety?

Meanwhile, the said conspiring school principal thoroughly ensured that her two daughters were not within the vicinity of GSS Chibok when BH terrorists came calling.

How was Kashim Shettima still "ruthless" with the BH inflicted insecurity when one of the sect most wanted terrorists-Kabiru Sokoto the mastermind of the Christmas eve bombing in Madalla-Niger State was arrested in Borno State Liason Office in Abuja. This man is a confirm terrorist.

Presidents don't work in a vaccum. If you are shouting vote Peter Obi, without also working for the victory of Labour Party in the senate, house of reps and governorship as well as state assemblies, you might as well be wasting your vote.

That is how Balarable Musa, governor of old Kaduna state and PRP man, thought he could run the state with NPN members. Till they showed him pepper....

Peter Obi placed El Rufai under house arrest and released him at the airport with the order that he should go and campaign in Kaduna.

Peter Obi swore with the life of his wife and children that he will never leave APGA, the party that will transform the South East, to a "Yoruba" or Fulani political party.

Peter Obi swept the massacre of almost 100 dissidents whose corpses were dumped in a River under the carpet.

Peter Obi denied Local Government Areas in Anambra State autonomy and refused to conduct Local Government Elections.

Peter Obi destroyed Labour Party's billboards as Governor of Anambra State. That time Olusegun Mimiko was the Governor of Ondo State under the platform of Labour Party which was seen as the 2nd Yoruba party (after ACN) that period.

Peter Obi is an autocratic Marxist ruler. He hates opposition and will go to any point to silence those who ask important questions.

Peter Obi is the ocean from which Obidense fetch their dictatorship and hope of a one-party state - an utopian democracy where an electorate is not supposed to support another candidate.

Peter Obi is a tyrant,Undemocratic opportunist who employs his effeminate voice and rand infusion of lies to coax the public

Is Peter Obi himself not a Devil and an anathema to EndSars?.. What could have prompted Obi to rush to court to obtain an injunction stopping the EndSars Panel in Anambra from summoning him on the ground of the atrocities committed by Akwuzu Sars under James Nwafor. If he really truly loved the Youths as he claims, why did he use the court to scuttle the inquiry and denied justice to the family of those youths killed under his regime?

Obi is nothing but a killer of youths, a hypocritical liar hiding under the facade of sainthood.

Politics / Re: Energetic Atiku Arrives France (Pictures) by yomi961: 5:17pm On Oct 18, 2022
Atiku Abubakar is by far the most popular and the most prepared presidential candidate in this election. Beyond the fact that he was Nigeria's first democratically elected vice president under this democratic dispensation, he is the only candidate with that level of experience among all those contesting to replace Buhari and his catastrophic government that has reduced our economy to its worst state since we gained independence in 1960 and left our currency struggling for relevance with the Zimbabwean dollar.

There are certain challenges only a salary earner or one who was previously a salary earner can understand. Unlike Obi, Atiku was not born with the proverbial silver spoon. He was a salary earner at the Nigerian customs service for about 20 years and as a result, he understands the pains of salary earners when inflation strikes. This explains why he goes to great lengths to ensure that salaries that are paid at his firms can take care of families and alerts for workers salaries hits their account early enough to keep them motivated and help them take care of thier needs.

As a former civil servant himself, Atiku understands how the civil service works and the need to make government services more efficient. Nigeria today has one of the biggest civil service in the world, with over 720,000 salary earners on the federal government payroll alone. The civil service swallows more that half of the our national budget every year even though they make up less than one percent of our entire population.

With Nigerians yearning for a reform of the civil service, there is the need to elect a candidate with first hand understanding of the problems and issues that has transformed the Nigerian civil service from the engine room that drives development to a clog in the wheel of progress.

Tinubu and Obi do not have any civil service experience, they dont understand how it operates, talkless of how to reform it. In contrast Atiku Abubakar with over 20 years experience in the glory days of the civil service understands the pains of civil servants and his multi dimentional digital approach to restructuring the civil service is what our country needs to trigger the process that will transform our dysfunctional civil service to the "vaibranium" that drives development and deliver real benefits to our people.

Tinubu and Obi were two term governors of their respective states, however, you cannot compare that with the experience that comes with being the Vice President of a country of over 200 million people.

As chairman of the National Economic Council from 1999 to 2007, Atiku Abubakar was an epitome of who a Vice President should be. His passion for a better and prosperous Nigeria is evident in the caliber of technocrats and specialists he personally convinced to return to the country and join hands with the government to develop our country.

As head of the Economic Management Team, Atiku and his team which included the current Director-General of the World Trade Organization Dr.  Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, successfully renegotiated and paid off Nigeria’s entire debt with the Paris Club before the current disaster's in government plunged our unborn children into the biggest debt trap in the history of our country with about ₦50 trillion in debts hanging over our necks.

Under Tinubu's lackeys in Lagos, the story is not different, because despite the huge internally generated revenue it rakes in every month, Lagos sits at the top of the list of highly indebted states in Nigeria with nothing to show for it.

When it comes to the private sector experience, Abubakar towers above Tinubu and the upcoming Obi by miles. Atiku co-founded INTELS, one of the biggest oil and gas/ports logistics firms in Africa. His other business are huge job creators that employs more people than many state governments in Nigeria.

Tinubu on the other hand has no real businesses beyond negotiating a slice from your tax and prompting his rubber stamp state assemblies to legalize his tax collection illegalities.

Obi as a business man is mostly interested in importing from foreign countries and taking away jobs. Some of his rookie economic policies will shut down half of our manufacturing capacity in less than 100 days if they are ever implemented because it does not factor in critical aspects of local production.

Perhaps one of the major reason most Nigerians are queuing behind the Atiku presidential bid is his sterling records as Head of the National Council on Privatization, which oversaw the sale of hundreds of loss-making and poorly managed public enterprises into highly successful and profit making ventures.

This action led to the influx of new and badly needed investments in vital sectors of our economy triggering massive growth in our GDP and the highest creation of new jobs ever witnessed in our country.

In addition, his efforts at transforming the telecomunications landscape completely changed how we do things today. Before the Obasanjo-Atiku era mobile phones were a luxury because the 350,000 available telephone lines provided by the then inefficient NITEL was grossly inadequate to cater for our massively growing population.

As Vice President and head of the economic team in Nigeria, Atiku inaugurated a 22-member Telecommunications Sector reform implementation committee, charged with the responsibility of facilitating greater access to phone services for Nigerians. His team went on to facilitate and supervise the licensing rounds for GSM licence in Nigeria conducted by the NCC under the leadership of Engr Ernest Ndukwe whose appointment as the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the NCC was facilitated by Atiku.

Thanks to the patriotism and dedication of Atiku and his team, the mobile connection you are most likely using to read this article and the over 188 million registered mobile lines in our country are helping to improve the ease of doing business, create jobs and open the global space for young Nigerians to unleash their talents and support the development of our country.

In 2019, we lost an opportunity to take back our country because some criminals manufactured non-existent votes and brought in a 'black market Justices" to legalize an illegality in plain sight.

In 2023, armed with the new Electoral Act and increased awareness of what the enemies of our nation can do, let us rise as one irrespective of tribe, religion or political leaning and support the most experienced candidate to help take back and restructure our nation for the benefit of our people and generations unborn.

Politics / Re: 4 PDP Governors, BoT Members To Atiku: We Will Dump Your Campaign If Ayu Resigns by yomi961: 10:04pm On Oct 16, 2022
Nigerians need to know that the concern of Governor Wike is not the interest of the South as been postulated by him and his friends but a personal battle to cover up his misdemeanours”

He stressed that the Governor has been shopping around and talking with Presidential Candidates of APC, Labour and PDP, but has allegedly signed a pact with Tinubu.

“In the first instance, why is Governor Wike always at the forefront of championing the removal of party chairmen at any given opportunity?

Recall that in 2016 after the loss of the PDP in the 2015 general elections, it was Governor Wike who orchestrated the installation of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as chairman of the party who nearly destabilized the party, except for the Supreme Court ruling of July 12, 2017.

“In the 2017 National Convention of the party, the same Governor Wike, denied Chief Bode George, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola and others from the South West from producing the National Chairmanship of the party when the PDP zoned the position to the south and championed the installation of his brother, Prince Uche Secondus as Chairman of the party.

“Before Prince Secondus could complete his tenure, Governor Wike again moved for his removal to pave way for his personal and selfish interest of campaigning for a southern president and later installed Senator Iyorchia Ayu as Chairman of the party.

“Today, the same Governor is calling for the removal of Senator Ayu. Is he the only person in the PDP?

“We, therefore, call on the leadership of the party and the Presidential Candidate to go ahead with its scheduled campaigns.

“The group also advised party members and supporters nationwide not to be distracted by Governor Wike’s activities, saying that the governor is already carrying out the job assigned to him by Bola Tinubu”.
