omasa: Pls what's a mailing label and how can I get one Mailing label is simply typing your full name and address/postal address on a MS word document and dropping it in your application package. This is usually used in case an application needs to be returned (God forbid) to the applicant. You are required to add 2 mailing labels in your application. |

meta4: just got a message from my dept that they can't find one of my results. hence the delay in processing my transcript. Helloooo, how did i graduate then and awarded certificate? is that my business now if they can't keep their records? I don't know what to do now, i need advise please. i wanted to write to the registrar and rubbish them but someone is advising me not to. what do you think House? this is my only requirement needed before i submit. my plans to submit at the end of Nov looks slim now no thanks to Uniben. i need urgent advise please. Writing or rubbishing your registrar would not solve the issue. You need to prayerfully prepare, and then go to the school with Holy Ghost backing. You ll come back with a testimony. |

scrollmeout: It is good to know that you still care. Well, to say i am worried or tense is a big understatement. I was hoping Solomonwis could also lend his voice to this big challenge i am facing, but it seems he has been busy on his project. A big thank you to Damkollins and the rest of the house for your responses thus far. Remember my application was received on June 30, 2014. but July 9 CC applicants are being debited. On a lighter note, Since my profession involves problem solving, i worked out a few scenarios so as to find a solution.
SCENARIO 1 Hotter NOCs 1112 were given attention so they could reach the cap faster. I soon realised however that other NOCs were still being charged including mine, albeit sparingly.
SCENARIO 2 I also thought my Debit card was the problem, but i since found out from my bank that no attempt has been made by CIC to charge it
SCENARIO 3 My application was misplaced. I used to DHL tracking number to track it and found that it was actually received but the name of the official who received it wasn't logged. I also found out that some applications with the same cases did not have problems.
SCENARIO 4 The recent shooting disrupted CIC activities hence the reason for the delay, but alas, they soon resumed to business as usual.
OTHER ACTIONS TAKEN I called British council to find out if i could request for another TRF but was told that they do not give more than one copy to test takers, they can only send a copy directly to Canada at a cost of N10,000. This of course means that it will not go with my application. this process is not guaranteed.
I called a customer care line +1 613 944 4000 to ask about my application but the agent told me he has no information about FSWP even though i was told he helped some callers some days ago.
I used my UCI to find out from the website, but since i haven't been charged the reply was null.
Lastly, i sent a Case specific enquiry to CIO but responses usually take between 30 - 45 days, at which point it may be too late to apply on this stream. I prefer not to wait for EE because i am not sure it may be easier.
What do i do? This stage is crucial to me because i am about to make some decisions that would be impacted if my PR is issued in a year or two. I still think its too early to start getting afraid. Just relax and have faith. If you can't bear the pressure, then go on with Damkollin's advice. |

My questions are, for a new applicant , is it still open, cos I saw 2014 on it though my occupation hasn't reach the capped 1000.
If its still open, do I fill it myself or do u suggest an agent. Have seen so many of dem, online and off, Nigerian and foreign. If m to do it myself, how do I start ( sorry if this question is dump) , if u say agent , any recommendations?
If these questions v bin answered inside the thread, please just quote me and point me to it. ( sorry if m asking to be fed, v tried feeding myself....lol)....thanks in advance.

scrollmeout: Hello House,
Damkollins, Solomonwis, and others, please I need your honest advice. I think i need to act fast to avert possible decline or delay. My application was received on June 30 and I'm yet to be debited. I have been monitoring the order of CC charging on another forum since its "first cone first served" and found out some hours ago that July 7 applications are being charged at the moment. I assumed the charging was done on a week by week basis, June 30-July 4 being in the same week.
I am now guessing they are having difficulty charging my card since my app hasn't been returned. I use a First Bank MasterCard. I contacted my closest branch but he guy i met seemed clueless. Is it possible to contact Interswitch directly? What should I do pls? I do not want to more miss the chance having waited for so long. I know CIC will only try 3 rimes before they return your app. Pls help!!! Well, i don't see the need for your worry, just relax and have faith in God that everything will work out fine. God is faithful. You ll receive good news very soon. |

akanni: People, under work experience, how employer go give all these information requested for? Did anyone successfully obtain this from his previous employer?
Work Experience For the principal applicant: • Letters of reference from all your employers for the past 10 years. Letters must be: • written on company letterhead, • signed by the responsible officer/supervisor, • show the company's full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses, • stamped with the company's official seal (if applicable). Letters must include all of the following information: • the specific period of your employment with the company, • the positions you have held during the period of employment and the time you spent in each position, • your main responsibilities and duties in each position, • your total annual salary plus benefits in each position, and • the number of hours worked per week in each position. Well, I did. I was able to. In other for you to get this, you might have to attach that page of the checklist to you application letter to your previous employers. Not only that, you have to follow up with calls and build a relationship, stressing the need for the format to be adhered to. Not only that, pray for God's favor. |

damkollins: Its a dark spot btw WES and academic institutions correspondence as academic institutions in Nigeria will always claim ignorance of the receipt of such correspondences. This is partly due to the non functional systems of Nigerian institutions as some if the officials saddled with the responsibility of checking such correspondences fails in their duty. My advice especially if it's a matter of urgency to you is to send a mail to WES though contactca@wes.org stating your reference number in the tittle of the mail.Let them know your school is yet to receive the verification request and that you would want them to send the verification request to your school through courier and that they should give you options in your account to pay for the sending of the verification cost. They may not respond on same day.......please send them reminder mail everyday on your request .......they will respond back to you an advice you on how to go about it. The idea is for you to pay for courier charge to send it to your school.....that way, your school can get it physically and respond to them via email. Its real and effective in case of emergency . Apart from that, only send mail to them to resend it if your have the grace to be patient . Cheers Oga damkollins, i duff my hat for you o. You too much. Thanks, God bless you |

highburygonner: Morning house, I apply for ECA through WES in September and have sent my credentials which they acknowledged but my school is yet to send my TRANSCRIPT. in fact they will send the transcript today. This morning I checked my account with WES and they wrote "waiting verification from institution" does it mean that they have sent email to my school without the transcript? Or what does it mean? I dont think you have anything to worry about. The document to be verified is your credentials since those ones are from you. Your transcript is from the school so it doesnt need verification again. |
