Hello Gurus, I have got one question.
I am new to forex and currently trading using a demo account( MT4).
I noticed that USD/JPY currency pair values are rounded off to 3 decimal places 113.783
According to babypips.com the last number is a minipip( not a full pip) hence a movement from 113.783 to 113.683 should be 10.0 pips.
However on the MT4 trading platform, this is not the case, the above movement is recorded as 100 pips.
Please brothers, which among the two parties should I believe? Is there any reason why these two parties have different methods for calculating pips?

Can one someone please help with an estimate of what it will cost to build a modest 3 bedroom bungalow in Lagos.

I don't think it's possible to do solely melange farming and make a profit with the current price of feed. Just my point of view, I may be wrong

Assuming I spend 300 naira to feed 1 fingerling to melange, how much will I sell the melange of 400 grammes?
Current market price of melange is 500/kg
Therefore, the price of 400 g of melange will be 400/1000 × 500 = 200 naira.
That is a loss of 100 naira.
I need further explanation Sir.

trading from 4H is one of the best, I recommend you do not trade live yet, keep the real account active and then open a demo, demo trade for about 2months (since its on 4H), build your trading confidence again with it and with whatever your outcome is. Then return to live.

hello bro, yes 1 bucket is too much for 100kg. they will usually collect money for 1 bucket from you, so dont bother about that. u must understand that even though CP content is high in Blood meal, it has a poor amino acid balance. for e.g it is low in methionine. and also, note that blood meal is not palatable and can cause water pollution if included at a high volume. this is why its inclusion has been limited of some sort and u have regulations guiding its use in some countries. if u can manage with some of its deficiencies, it is an excellent source of protein. i hope this helps?

Hello bro, the feed millers in agege usually prefer the wet blood meal for convenience sake. Except of course you can provide the dry blood meal which is also available at agege as well. However, if you want to use the wet blood meal, you need to include at least 2 bucket/1000kg. if you need the dry blood meal, just go across the road, look beside the estate, you will see a place where goats and rams are being sold, walk down the road and you will see blood meal been processed from wet to dry. The name of the dealer is mr lawal if I’m not mistaken. For 1000kg feed, the recommended inclusion of blood meal is between 5% -6%. It cost between 100/kg to 120/kg. I hope this helps? Regards.

I have a little concern with my stock. They don't hussle/rush for feed like they used to. They respond to feed as if they almost satiated, the heads hardly visible outside the water.

Hi All - I was at abbatoir Agege to source for fish feed ingredients... I had a little challenge determining the weight of the blood meal on sale . The blood meal(wet) is sold using the big paint bucket. even the guys milling don't know the weight of the bucket

I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten on the qty to use per 1000kg of feed using the bucket as reference

There is noting to worry about. It is normal for fishes to align with the colour of the water or container in which they are bred. I had same concern sometime back when the colour of my stock changed to( brown) the colour of the water in the pond they were kept in .

Summary of my formula is as follows

2mm and 3mm

Fish meal 40% [I use grinned clupeid]
Blood meal 5-10% [depends]
Soya Meal 20%
GNC 20%
Bewery Waste 5-10%[Depends]
Corn not more than 5% [Cooked Corn flour]

4mm
Fish meal 25-30%
Blood Meal 10%
Soya 20%
GNC 20%
Bewery Waste 15%
Corn not more than 10% [Cooked corn flour]

6mm and above
Fishmeal 10%
Blood Meal Ideal 13% Extreme 15%
Soya 25%
GNC 25%
Bewery Waste/Broiler Starter 10%

I include less than 500g of Lysine and Methonine and Vit C for 2mm and 3mm [Inclusion of Lysine for 2mm & 3mm is optional]
I incude between 500g and 1kg of Lysine and Methonine and Vit C for 4mm and above
I introduce palm oil from 3mm
Include 1kg salt for every 100kg formula


You can as well formulate MEDICATED FEED of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm with the above formula you only need to add synthetics vitamins / Mineral and antibiotics
5kg of 2mm Medicated feed
5kg of 3mm Medicated feed
15kg of 4-8mm Medicated feed

The formula is for 100kg

Note: Your water management while using local formula especially on concrete pond must be optimum [Preferably every other day] to avoid outbreak of disease. This must be followed by careful planning of regular water supply to your ponds. Sorting to two ponds after the first two weeks is alright. Once you stock, there should be cover either tarpaulin or roofing. I cover my pond completely in the first month of stocking fingerlings with small portion to retain constant temperature. You might be lucky not to have temperature fluctuation at night in your location

wen you are newly switching to local sinking pellets feed you need a lot of patience wen feeding unlike floating (otherwise you will waste lots of feed that will cause water pollution and that's not good for the health of your fis), also ensure the size of local feed you are switching to is not bigger than the floating.

starve the fishes for at least 24hrs, then introduce the feed to them in bits, u will know when they are satisfied becos their initial rushing for the feed will reduce after a while
