No be only veterans, na veterinarian

Someone that instigated violence and treason should be let off the hook?

It shows the caliber of people we co-habit this country with. The real enablers of the crime culture

If he’s innocent, why doesn’t he want to be tried? Why is he avoiding a trial?

Many of the people insulting Aare should pray to live as old as 70 and be as active as this then

He has built a legacy and if you think he has not, bring out your evidence instead of being emotional

Emmitext89:
Congratulations sir.
If Nigeria must Be Great, we need the likes of:

✓ Dr. Akinwumi Adesina
✓ His Excellency, Sir PETER GREGORY OBI
✓ Prof. Yemi Osinbajo
✓ Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

You can do the permutations yourself, whichever ever way you juxtapose them, you're making the right permutations.

Enough of having Hausa-Fulani in power. Nigeria doesn't belong to them. Haba!
Please remove Obi from the list

That man is empty upstairs

PoliticsAfdb’s Adesina Crowned African Of The Decade By The All African Business Leaders by yoruboid(op): 6:06pm On Dec 07, 2024
Akinwumi Adesina, the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), has been crowned the All African Business Leaders Awards’ (AABLA) first-ever ‘African of the Decade’ as he concludes a 10-year tenure marked by several laudable initiatives to improve lives across Africa.

The award recognized Adesina’s efforts to develop the continent and galvanize capital through his High 5 strategic initiatives: Light Up and Power Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa and Improve the lives of the People of Africa. His ambitious collaboration with the World Bank was to provide electricity to 300 million Africans. His term comes to an end next year.

Adesina thanked ABN Group Chairman Rakesh Wahi and his management for the accolade, one of a string that have come since his assumption of the only African financial institution rated AAA by all the three major rating agencies: Moody’s, S&P and Fitch.

“God did not make a mistake when he made me an African. I will leave as an African and I will do all I can, to my final breath, for Africa. When I die and it’s time for resurrection, I will ask God for permission to come out with an African flag,’’ Adesina said, accepting the award today while at the Africa Investment Forum in Rabat, Morocco.

“But awards are not just recognition nor are they just for you. They are a recognition for an army of believers who join you to do what you are doing. It allows you to be inspired, to be motivated, to be more dedicated, to be more relentless with the vision that one has. Thank you to the ABN Group.’’

The more they hate Lagos, the more it keeps prospering

The more they ask their people to move their own 2*2 shops from Lagos, the more FDIs keep pouring in

Lagos and Ogun will soon be interconnected on all fronts and with the coastal road, Yorubaland and the Niger Delta will soar to great heights

PoliticsRe: Lagos And Ogun To Build The Electric Purple Rail Line by yoruboid(op): 11:36pm On Dec 04, 2024
Today, at the Africa Investment Forum Market Days, I presented our investment strategy for the Purple Rail Line project.

The Purple Rail Line is a 60 km electrified rail system that will include 16 stations and seamlessly integrate with existing metro and bus services to enhance connectivity. It is projected to serve over 300,000 passengers daily, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging a shift from road to rail transportation.

I am pleased to share that we have secured substantial funding commitments, as the Purple Line represents a viable investment opportunity with promising returns. We are excited to move forward with this project.

I also participated in a pre-deal room meeting organized by Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, regarding the Nigeria Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Program (Nigeria SAPZ).

Today, the Governor of Ogun State presented a budget which includes extending the Blue and Red rail lines as well as building the Purple Line

The Purple Line starts from Redemption Camp through Agege and will join the Blue Line after Festac

Today as well, Governor Sanwoolu of Lagos engaged the ABD for construction of the Purple Line

I love the synergy between Lagos and Ogun to integrate rail networks (three lines) between both states

GDP that does not translate to IGR is clearly a falsified GDP

Ekiti alone generates more VAT than any state in the SE. Keep faking your GDP

You can’t fake it till you make it with the economy. It will always show in your results

Ogun State is set to double its IGR to the envy of all

Oyo, Ekiti and Ondo will also show workings

Ekiti has one of the fastest growing IGRs in Nigeria

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Secures $2.2 Billion Eurobonds To Finance 2024 Budget Deficit by yoruboid: 5:56am On Dec 03, 2024
This shows confidence in the economy is overwhelming

While around $1.5 billion was offered, Nigeria recorded a total subscription of $8.8 billion. Only $2.2 billion was later allotted.

The allotments are - $700 million for the 6.5-year bond priced at 9.625% and a larger $1.5 billion for the 10-year bond priced at 10.375%.

How else do you describe investors confidence in the ongoing reforms?

Almost 600% over subscription on Eurobond is perhaps unprecedented.

Lagos takes more than 80% vat now but the proposed new Lagos vat will be 15% while Kano receiving 0.86% will now be 6.something% and all states except Lagos and Rivers will be collecting more vat in the proposed tax bill.
