Justnation:Cry me a river. This road will be completed |
Ibadan Airport has as many flights as Enugu Airport and that’s about five flights daily Even Ethiopia Airlines doesn’t land there everyday while Lagos Airport (it’s actually one not two) with separate terminals for domestic and international traffic has almost 300 flights daily I bet you even Lekki Aiport when completed will have as much traffic as the Ikeja Airport under two years Ebonyi needs to float its own airline |
Going at this pace, this road will be completed under six years while the sections 1, 2 and 3 which are VI to Eleko, Eleko to Ogun/Ondo Border and Calabar to Rivers/Akwa Ibom border will be done in 3yrs Sections 4 and 5 which are Ondo to Delta and Rivers to Bayelsa will commence next year |
This is unprecedented and the construction is going on in three places From VI towards Lekki Free Trade Zone From Eleko (by Lekki FTZ), to VI From the border between Ogun/Ondo to the Free Trade Zone Calabar to PHC section to commence before the end of the year Video 1 - Update from VI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-mK9pxhLpg?si=VPDJ4Z3WWJaXCILH Video 2 - Update from Eleko https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp7deUuy39E?si=-6t1KcOBYjgBilZy |

While some are sitting at home every Monday, flogging their parents, opening baby factories and setting their region on fire with kidnappings and murders, Yorubaland keeps progressing from Sagamu, to Eko Atlantic, to Ibadan, to Ekiti, to Ikoyi, to Osogbo, to Akure to Lekki Free Zone |
The people who understand Economics and what he’s planning to accomplish with his policies will support him Its not to be understood by low IQed illiterates The easiest thing for anyone who is interested in stealing to do is retain subsidy and continue to defend the Naira and clean out from both but he decided to bite the bullet |
Lipscomb:Is anyone stopping you from hitting the streets? As usual you’re cowards and would always wait for Yorubas to lead. Even the last protests were led by Yorubas but the timid folks across the river can only thump their chests with no action |

Governor Seyi Makinde today will flag off the construction work for the upgrade of the Ibadan Airport, Alakia to an international airport. The commencement comes a few weeks after the inauguration of an 11-man committee headed by former Commissioner for Finance, Bimbo Adekanmbi to oversee the delivery of the project. It would be recalled that the Federal Government had earlier granted Oyo government the approval to upgrade the facility after several projects towards attaining the vision to turn around the facility for the state’s economic benefits. Governor Makinde had during the inauguration of the committee on July 30, noted that the upgrade of the airport would support his administration’s drive to expand the economy of the state through agribusiness. He noted: “The decision to convert our existing local airport into an international airport was not a hasty one; we are not engaged in a let-me-do-this-because-other-governors-are-doing-it-competition. “This is a well-thought-out decision based on science, logic and data. This vision is already four years old and we laid the groundwork in our first tenure. We have completed the 500,000-litre aviation fuel storage and dispensing facility, which has been concessioned to the Bovas Group. “We have also upgraded part of the facilities which increased the number of airlines including Ibadan in their flight schedules.” https://aknnlive.com/oyo-govt-begins-ibadan-airport-upgrade/?utm_source=ReviveOldPost&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost
