PoliticsBetween Adeboye, Mbaka And Odumeje by yoruboid(op): 11:36am On Nov 17, 2024
So because of Adeboye’s comment on the Naira, the usual suspects have been bashing him but when one of their own said he was the one making the Naira appreciate, they all saw it as humor

Mbaka spoke against GEJ and supported PMB and because Adeboye did the same, they come at him with all guns blazing

PoliticsRe: Has The Tinubu Government Created A Single Job Since Coming On Board? by yoruboid: 11:20am On Nov 17, 2024
The role of government is not to create jobs but the environment

Since becoming president, exports have surged and people that understand economics have been taking advantage of it and creating jobs

All the road contracts awarded have created jobs

People have jobs in CNG conversion

Thousands have been trained in ICT, many more have benefited from grants to expand their businesses

Factories keep opening Ogun State

PoliticsThe Hallucinations Of Obidients by yoruboid(op): 10:47am On Nov 13, 2024
It’s very funny how they think and honestly their level of reasoning needs to be questioned

They will imagine a scenario in their heads and start ruminating over it and coming up with multiple ideas of what never was

In just twenty months, PBAT has gone from being certain to lose an election, to being certain to lose at the tribunals, to PMB not handing over to him, to PBAT never getting sworn in, to the military taking over, to Obi’s boxes of evidences, to OBJ’s experienced lawyer, to the Supreme Court overturning PBAT’s election, to not attending Chicago State University, to the University denying him, to being from Guinea, to being from Iragbiji, to being a drug baron, to the FBI releasing a 20,000 page document on him, and now to being a CIA agent…

Now it’s that Trump will release his classified files when he assumes office like he is the Chairman of one LGA in Umuahia. People that have never crossed the border talk less of knowing how the US works should never have an opinion on matters concerning the USA

Safe to say, Obidients are a bunch of hallucinating folks

They will never cease to amaze me but what I like about this new title is the invincibility it comes with

President Tinubu is clearly a man of grace. His story and his rise to the top shows that God is obviously on his side and you can only hate him at your own peril. Imagine hating someone God loves. Na you go lose.

From claiming he is from Iragbiji, but not a single human being from the village of less than 500k people can claim to be his close or distant relative, to claiming he assumed the identity of someone else, while indeed, I believe he was adopted by a wealthy merchant because God has a purpose for his life, to traveling to the US to study and doing exceptionally well.

As far as the civil forfeiture is concerned, he is not a criminal and that’s why it’s not a criminal forfeiture. And despite all of Atiku and Hundeyin’s digging, they’ve always met brick walls from the same USA that won’t hesitate to throw anyone (including its citizens) under the bus

Clearly shows this is a man of immense grace and cannot be brought down by any living soul, except his creator

Keep hating, he will keep progressing and yes, he will fix Nigeria… He already is anyways, for those who have any form of economic comprehension

PoliticsLekki Free Zone’s Turnover Hits $5 Billion by yoruboid(op): 10:46am On Nov 12, 2024
Managing Director, Lekki Free Zone (LFZ), Bolatito Ajibode has said about $5 billion has been generated as revenue through the zone, with investment ranging from infrastructure to industries and raw materials.

Ajibode disclosed this during a media tour organized by the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority NEPZA in Lagos, stating that In terms of revenue to the government, the zone remits pay as you earn tax to the state government, with 3,200 workers coming to the zone each day to earn a living, which is a significant employment opportunities created by the Lekki zones.

According to the MD, “The zone is the largest trade zone with a land area of 3,000 hectares, it currently has 60 enterprises in operation and an additional 30 under construction across various sectors, including manufacturing, real estate, logistics, recreation, and oil and gas.

“The first challenge in that area is the road infrastructure from Lekki to Eleko junction, which has been handled by the Dangote Group and will be completed soon. Another challenge is the devaluation of the naira. We currently sell in dollars, and it has been a bit of a challenge for investors, whether coming in or going out, especially Nigerian investors who buy our lands.

“We have different options for large-scale manufacturers and small retailers, but it’s people who have deep pockets that can come in. Nigerian investors struggle to cough out the money, which is why we have more foreigners here, like 20 to 80 per cent foreigners around the zones.

The Managing Director NEPZA, Olufemi Ogunyemi had earlier disclosed that Nigeria’s free zones, numbering 46 licensed zones in 2022, have provided 38,429 direct employment jobs and an additional 172,930 indirect jobs towards the end of 2023, so far free zones in the country have created an enabling environment aimed at enhancing economic growth and development of export-oriented manufacturing in the non-oil sector of the economy.

CrimeUS Authorities Arrest Nigerian At Texas Airport For $2 Million Romance Fraud by yoruboid(op): 8:08pm On Nov 07, 2024
A 40-year-old Nigerian national, Franklin Ikechukwu Nwadialo, was arrested on arrival at an airport in Texas on charges linked to a multi-million-dollar romance fraud scheme.

Nwadialo, indicted in December 2023 by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington, faces 14 counts of wire fraud.

The defendant allegedly scammed victims out of up to $2 million by posing as a romantic partner deployed in the U.S. military.

Nwadialo was traveling from Nigeria when he was taken into custody. He is now set to be transported to the Western District of Washington for arraignment.

In a statement, U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman disclosed the challenges of prosecuting defendants involved in overseas romance scams, stating, “All too often, the defendants in these romance scams are overseas and unreachable by U.S. law enforcement.”

She commended the investigators for their persistence in bringing the defendant to justice.

According to the indictment and criminal complaint filed in the case, Nwadialo allegedly defrauded victims of more than $3.3 million.

Nwadialo used various versions of the name ‘Giovanni” when he met his victims online on websites such as Match, Zoosk, and Christian Café. Nwadialo used false images for his profile and typically told the victims that he was in the military and deployed overseas so he could not meet the victims in person.

Gorman said, "Using these personas, Nwadialo invented many reasons he needed the victims to send him money. In one such case in 2020, he indicated he had been fined by the military for revealing his location to the victim.

"He asked the victim to help him pay the $150,000 fine. In all, that victim was defrauded of at least $2.4 million.”

Meanwhile, a second victim was contacted in 2019 to help move funds from U.S. accounts to accounts controlled by the defendant and his co-schemers.

"In this instance Nwadialo represented that he needed the help moving money in connection with his father’s death. The victim transferred at least $330,000 to the accounts controlled by the defendant,” Gorman said.

Gorman explained that a third victim was defrauded by Nwadialo when he told her that he was investing money for her.

"He claimed that a check she received from another victim was proceeds from her investments and he had her “reinvest” the money in a specific cryptocurrency account that he controlled. The victim transferred at least $270,000 at Nwadialo’s direction,” Gorman said.

According to the statement, in August 2020, Nwadialo defrauded another victim who he met on an online dating site and caused this victim to transfer at least $310,000 by claiming he needed financial assistance, including help paying for his father’s funeral or his son’s school tuition.

"The fourteen counts of wire fraud relate to the communications with Nwadialo and the wiring of funds from victims to the defendant and his co-schemers.

Gorman noted that wire fraud is punishable by up to twenty years in prison.

"The charges contained in the indictment are only allegations. A person is presumed innocent unless and until he or she is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law,” the statement said.

Gorman further stated that the FBI is investigating the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sok Jiang.
