I don't think anybody in this great forum press phone than I do which I believe it as become something else. I can't stay 5 minutes without. Touching my phone.

I have my phone with me at all times and check it hundreds of times a day. From WhatsApp Message to Nairalander to Twitter and so on.

Please my great Nairalanders, help me, how can I reduce this attitude, it becoming something else.

Separate visual from audio. The text structure part if Social Media is not as addictive as the 3D Image driven part of it. NAIRALAND.COM is not that of a problem because it is mostly text. Image and video based social media is the real problem. Starve your brain of Images. It will surely curtail its need for it. Listen to videos instead of watching them. Train your ears to create Image and clips from audio. Engage 3D only through images. Avoid engaging your sight and hearing at the same time by viewing and listening to videos at the same time. You will be flabbergasted at the results. I have uninstalled all Social Media apps on my phone except YouTube because it is extremely useful for learning and I don't watch videos on it; I listen to them most of the time and engage my sight for very useful specific perspective. Information over consumption is a thing. You do not need all of the entertainment and information. You will find liberation once your body understands this perfectly.

I have applied for a couple of jobs and am yet to be successful and I really want to change up things a little bit. The first port of call right now for me is my CV.

I am aware that content is key in selecting CVs that make the cut for any job opening but I really want mine to be an eye catcher at first instance and I would like to be able to change things up regularly.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time nor talent to build one from scratch and I think templates will better suite my needs.

I have tried some features in MS Office but all to no avail.

I therefore would appreciate any recommendations on how best to achieve my objective.

I am not talking of this just because its BBC ibo. With BBC English hausa, Igbo and yoruba beaming into Nigeria the British have the potential to reach 80% of our population. If they don't like our president for example, say over his gay/lesbian stance, they can begin to bombard us with negative messages and hence can have an unseen influence on our collective decision such as during elections. It's a known fact.

When Americans and Co complain about Russia meddling in their elections, I just laugh. Its 1000 times worse what they do to others especially using such soft power and media.

There is no free lunch. They are not spending huge money to set up studios, employ people and editors because they like Nigeria. Before you clap,look at the big picture.

Only if we had more Nigerians that think like you....it's really difficult to cure public stupor within a very short time. Let's pray that we will someday learn...

If you aren't perturbed that she broke up with you then I'm not surprised that you wouldn't call her three times a day. You probably aren't meant for each other. When you meet someone you're crazy about, you'll call her enough times to make her a part of your day. Not just the perfunctory (4) calls per week.

It doesn't always follow. Used to have such complaints from her but she had to adapt to one session per day. Some girls really need to grow up. Putting so many calls through doesn't translate to love or affection. I cant do that for anybody. I won't do it for anybody.

My advice is simple. The parents rushing to pick up their kids from school, believing the military wants to inject their kids, should also enrol in the same school with their kids,after all these drama.

What does the military stand to gain harming the citizenry?and just like i told somebody yesterday. You will think with the constant complaint about the Military in Nigeria, that it is only populated by the Northerners and that there are no other tribes inside.

Anybody that has lived close to a Military formation/base knows the military conduct these exercises to civilians from time to time. From free Vaccinations, to checking of BP to eye treatments and one time they even shared Condoms along the streets.

Some years ago. I think Goodluck Jonathan was the President then(i stand to be corrected), 84 Northern Kids were killed when a fake teething medication(MY PIKIN) was sold to their parents who gave their kids to consume.

A Yoruba man (Adeyemo) and an Edo man (Eromosele)were both convicted and sent to jail for it. I did not read anywhere that Jonathan was trying to kill Northerners, since the makers of the drugs are Southerners.
