Business / Re: How Old Were You When You Made Your First Million?, And How? by ypeace: 3:57pm On Nov 18, 2018
At 24, few months after my graduation.

I got to know about blockchain technology in my final year. I read about it and joined various crypto groups before I graduated. I delved fully into crypto currency trading on exchanges plus buy and selling of cryptos. I raised more than 10m naira within my first year.

I lost interest in trading on exchanges last year when I took a blockchain course on coursera. It opened my eye to the fact that the real money is in blockchain development. I have since dedicated my time to learning and development of blockchain technologies.

Currently working on various crypto projects one of which is multisend. Multisend is an ethereum Dapp that allow users to send ethereum and ethereum tokens to many addresses in a single ethereum transaction. The testnet version can be accessed at https://multisend.now.sh and the tutorial can be found at https://www.useloom.com/share/5c7524c256414e01baef2a9bff2a6adc

@islandmoon and @maestroferddi

They way you guyz display your ignorance stinks.

Check out the thread below and arrest everyone who buy and sell gift cards and other e-currencies.
https://www.nairaland.com/3190496/currency-e-currency-market-deals/5171#65245158

I used to buy payoneer and skill from my friends who work on Fiverr. It is better they sell to individuals than selling to banks.

What do individual do with these e-currencies? I personally buy things on Amazon and resell them. This is basically what I think the op does with his e-currencies.

And you guyz should change your account officer who has been telling you that you can't transfer more than 1m.

Were you selected ....after attending their programs

pls kindly share your full experience ....

Thank you ...

I was selected into the fellowship program but currently not a fellow (long story).

I don't know the selection process for other position in Andela apart from the fellowship program. The admission process for the fellowship program takes approximately 2 months starting with applying on their website and ending with two weeks bootcamp.

Andela does not evaluate your coding skills alone but also test your communication and writing skills, passion, integrity and collaboration skills.

In summary, Andela is not your typical Nigerian company. At Andela, 9yr olds calls 90yr olds by their first name with no Mr, Dr or Prof and everyone is happy with it. It is one big happy family with EPIC values.

Food is tangible thing we eat when hungry, it's far unrelated to your imaginary being in the sky.

Just accept that even without the idea of an intelligent design, the brain would still be a complex thing, accident can be a complex thing.

Meaning it's better to just be agnostic(I don't know), than claiming what you have no clue of it existence exist, in the future the brain might not be complex to us.
Accident 'can' be a complex thing (but not a complex working system), the brain 'is' a complex thing (and a working system in another complex system)....

And my base point is, systems (whether complex or simple) do not build up without an intelligent design.

Ok, I accept food is a tangible thing and I used food because I thought you could put them in the same context.

I will rephrase, the similitude of the question you asked me is like asking how will this world be without love (the one humans feel for themselves). I simply do not know, do you?

Or even better, how do you suppose a cellphone should be without an intelligent design?

Even though this reply was not what I asked.

So by your logic(for believing there is a God), since the brain is complex there must be an intelligent design as the creator, so with this the intelligent design must also be complex, so in this case, this intelligent design must also have a higher complex intelligent design as creator and it goes on like that.

Let me reverse it, how do you suppose the brain should be without an intelligent design?

Replying your explanation, it goes on like that to infinity (God).

Reply to your question, the similitude of this question is asking me that how will human survive if there is nothing like food. Well, I simply do not know. Do you?
Islam for Muslims / Re: May Allah Grant Us Good Ends by ypeace: 9:48pm On Aug 04, 2018
tintingz:
Lol, before you go.

Can you tell me reason for your existence and a reason to be happy?

There is a reason why I personally chose to believe there is God.

A simple Google search of what is the most complete thing in the universe shows that human brain (even if not) is considered by many as the most complex thing.

A look at this complex thing in a complete structure (human body) side by side with the computer CPU in a computer system gave an hint (which I haven't found to be proven wrong yet) that complex systems do not build up randomly without intelligence (the reverse is not always true).

In other words, I believe it took something of higher intelligence to build our own.

Ps.
System: units of complex structures working as a single structure.

I'm simply saying that he without sin should be the first to cast a stone... If one follows one part and condemns another, in that same vein someone out there follows the part that he doesn't and by that right has the right to condemn him... Do/follow what you want but don't judge someone whose simply sins differently
I don't subscribe to this complex logic. What the original guy did is only stating the fact as it is in the Bible. The guy who quoted him is just trying to shift the goal post. The guy never mentioned that he condones other forms of sins.

I don't know, but the similitude of this is a thief saying no one has the right to call him out because we all have other forms of sin.

Truly, we all have our sins. But, it is a pathetic thing trying to justify sinning using the 'goal post shifting' tactics.

Thank you... If one wants to quote the Bible to support their agenda or argument , they have to be sure they are living to it word for word
Are you encouraging him to drop the part of the Bible he follows because he doesn't follow all? The things people do to justify a bad act!

We should constantly remind one another of goodness. When reminded, we should work towards getting better and not condemn the person who reminds.

really, this is really the point. It is had intrinsic value. It only because money when you sign an agreement. That's fraud.

This is sheikh Assim Hakim

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gctxeh0uwtk

As for sheik Imran Hussein, you gonna have to watch his series of lectures because he talks about it in almost all of his lectures. So I can't possibly pick one.

I find it hard to believe Banks and govt aren't involved with it creation one way or the other.

It has an intrinsic value. What you believe and what most people say about it isn't true. Its code is open source and any programmer who cares can download, study and even modify it for testing.

If you really care about knowing about the technology (blockchain which is simply based on hash functions and key-pair cryptography) first watch the video here https://anders.com/blockchain/ and take this free course https://www.coursera.org/learn/cryptocurrency.

I believe if we present these materials to our scholars, it is enough to make judgement about it.

when it comes to cryptocurrencies or bitcoin, it is fraud. Have i not been saying this on this nl platform for 4yrs now?. When i raised the issue that paper money is haram some of you disagreed. I said further that they wanted to replace paper money with electronic or virtual currency but many of you said it is not haram. Here we are now, cryptocurrencies is here. It does have some good that come with it but it purpose nullifies the benefits.

Sheikh Imran Hussain has been saying this for over 20 yrs but they think he was crazy. So just watch when eventually paper money will disappear. There are many things you can no longer buy with cash now. And i was impressed by Sheikh Assim Hakim in his few mins clip where he recognizes cryptocurrencies to be fraudulent and haram after presented his analysis.

But the big banks aren't gonna present bitcoin in a way that scares the hell out of people. They drop the process softly until massess get used to it. It will create more and more wealth for the rich to be permanently rich and the poor permanently poor.

Assalam alaykum warahmatullah. Can you present a link to his lecture on bitcoin? Saying banks are the one behind it is funny because most consider bitcoin as anti-bank. Can you post the source that links big banks to being the one behind bitcoin?

Modified

I listened to one of sheikh's (Rahimahullah) lecture just now on YouTube and some of the things he said about it may have come from the fact that the person who explained it to him does not have full understanding of what bitcoin is. He mentioned that 'the owner could shut it down' and it has no value of its own.

To mine bitcoin as an individual is costly. The cost to mine a single bitcoin is higher than the current price of bitcoin.

Bitcoin did have a founder but it is not possible for even its founder to shut it down ( as far as I know).

Shaykh sulaymaan ar-ruhaylee says its haraam because it has no value in and of itself, that its value comes from "movement of the market" (I believe you understand what he means), and no single country has accepted it's usage which means there is possibility of losing your money.

So do you have any comments regarding his reasons?

That it has no value itself is not true but that it's value also come from movement of the market is True. Gold, for example, is mined (intrinsic value). If there is large hype on gold and people buy it more, its value would rise against fiat right? Similarly, bitcoin is 'mined' by spending electricity and using high RAM equipment to calculate a hash. Please visit this website (https://anders.com/blockchain/) to get how the whole process works. It also has a demo.

Have been in NYSC orientation camp in the last 23 days, my solution is attached as a pic. For those that need clarification, read the paragraph below too.

- the first part of the return statement returns the key with the highest value

- I used the sorted global function to sort the dictionary using it values in descending order. This function returns the dictionary as a list and using [0] and dic[] , I got the highest values.

- looking at the return statement, you would see that it is enclosed in a dictionary format thereby generating a dictionary of the highest key with it associated value.

Nice.
But this solution only returns a value for test (iii).

In spirit of one-liners, create a one-liner function that accepts a dictionary with numeric values and returns a dictionary with the maximum value. For example:
i. The function accepts: {'ade': 3, 'john': 5, 'sam': 1, 'bukky': 20} and returns: {'bukky': 20}
ii. The function accepts: {'ade': 3} and returns: {'ade': 3}
iii. The function accepts: {'ade': 3, 'john': 5, 'sam': 20, 'bukky': 20} and returns: {'sam': 20, 'bukky': 20}

dict_maxx = lambda _dict: {key:value for key, value in _dict.items() if value == max(_dict[key] for key in _dict)}

I was playing around with some stuff on decision trees and came up with the following problem. I was able to work out a solution but I think my solution may be too slow and I am hoping someone might have a faster alternative. Here is the problem:

Design a function that accepts a digit; say 'n', and returns a list of lists of unary digits between 0 and 'n-1', pairs of digits between 0 and 'n-1', triples of digits between 0 and 'n-1', up until the '(n-1)-tuple' digits between 0 and 'n-1'.

for example;

if n = 2 the function return: [[0], [1], [0, 1]]
if n = 3 the function returns: [[0], [1], [2], [0, 1], [0, 2], [1, 2], [0, 1, 2]]
if n = 4 the function returns: [[0], [1], [2], [3], [0, 1], [0, 2], [0, 3], [1, 2], [1, 3], [2, 3], [0, 1, 2], [0, 1, 3], [0, 2, 3], [1, 2, 3], [0, 1, 2, 3]]
