Business / Re: Rejection Of Old Dollar Notes: My Experience At The Bank Today by ypeace: 6:16pm On Sep 27, 2021
WoundedLamb:

I don't understand. Why would he ask this? Why would you accept a note that is being phased out? The bank is the financial institution. It is their duty to accept it, keep it and issue new ones till the old ones disappear. You not accepting from the bank and the bank accepting it from their customers is logically the only way to take it out of circulation. Maybe I'm the one not getting it.

But they spend and accept the old USD note in the US without any complain. I think the issue of new note only happens in Nigeria.

If you score one in Anfield, you are still not on level terms because Madrid will be considered winners with 3 - 2 goals aggregate.

This is horrible. Sorry about your experience. Kindly post this on medium.com so that it reaches many people. And please use escrow services for your remote gigs if the company does not have a sound track record.

Remote work can be somehow sometimes. I currently have my money stuck with playerup escrow service but at least they are still replying to my messages.

@Julietsim. Be adventurous and use other parts of your body to please him. Your thigh, oranges, hands and even tongue are there to give him more than he ever asked for. Make each of them bring him a different taste of you. And each night, ask him which taste he desires - Mrs tits? Mrs tie or Mrs likie likie.

I wish you success in your endeavors and sincerely hope that my little advice brings peace into your home.

Pascopele:
Immediately after the burial, a friend of mine that I trust so much on nairaland came to me that he needed help.

He needed 600K to tie up a business deal that his life and future depends on it. He promised to bring back the money in 2 months. I explained my financial situation to him and how its expensive to do burial in our tradition and all that.

But being who I am, I wouldn't want a friend to pass up an opportunity so I approached my elder brother who in turn called a friend to lend me the money because my elder. My elder bro trust me with all he is got.

While collecting the 600K, I told them I will repay in two months time instead of the one month my friend told me.

One month elapsed and he didn't bring the money, I gave him grace of another two weeks hoping I will meet up with. The time I gave my elder bro and his friend.

One month elapsed and my dear friend behaved as if I am putting unnecessary pressure on him, saying ," Pasco, you chill na, I go arrange the bar give you, just exercise some patient a little longer", I don't like reneging on my words so I looked for someone on nairaland who borrowed me 600K in exchange for my 8 months salary starting from August last year to March

Those 8 months are the toughest period of my life. I was grieving my dad and couldn't support my mom the way I wanted to and couldn't explain it to anyone. Not even my elder bro knew what happened.

I swallowed it like man and was barely surviving for those 8 months.

I was Betrayed and he is still owing me.

I no swear o! But e go hard for me to stick my neck out for another like that and I learnt.

Lesson: Love all trust none. I don't borrow people money again. I give up on helping people. I swear but we move ✌️

I must use this opportunity to commend dagr8, my nairaland friend, who is now dead.

I lent him some money and he returned it as promised few days before he passed away.

May his soul rest in peace

@ purples25,

While reading through the original post, I had to scroll down to check how long it is. I was glad that it was long enough. But, when I got to the last sentence, I wish it was longer. You write so well and remind me of someone. I had to dig through my browser's history to find that lady. Check out her blog here -> https://lynnandtonic.com/art/ . I think that if you can build more on your art and writing skills and also develop yourself to be a UI/UX dev, you will an invaluable hot cake. I have friends who are doing fine with just their artwork (check out https://www.instagram.com/artallison), I have some who live fine as UI/UX dev (checkout https://www.behance.net/scozky) and we know many writers who are living fine. Lady, you have amazing skills and I don't think you should be begging anyone to employ you.

what you guys don't understand is that this not android ban only
do you know that 95% of major apps or social media apps are US companies grin

ok let's assume that huawei will develop their own OS and no US company develop their apps for the OS
will you enter the market and buy a big phone without Facebook, twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Skype, etc compatibility?
i guess you won't
so that's the death of the os

make una dey reason with fact not sentiment

Huawei still have the privilege to use the open source version of Android. I believe it is very possible for them to create an OS that supports existing apps

Please who can help me to solve this problem.....abeg i need your help senior

Create a program named Dice to solve the following exercises. The input of the program is a so-called trial, i.e. a sequence of the rolled results. This input must be read from the standard input. The first line of the input contains a single integer N, indicating the number of throws . The second line of the input contains exactly N characters, each character is a digit from 1 to 6.

The output of the program should be written to the standard output. There are 3 exercises you are expected to solve. The output should contain exactly 3 lines: the ith line in the output is the solution to exercise i.

Exercise 1
How many times did it occur in the trial, that exactly two 6s were rolled after each other? For example, in sequence 56611166626634416 it occurred twice, that exactly two 6s were thrown after each other.

Exercise 2
Find the length of the longest subsequence of successive rolls, in which the value 6 does not occur. (This number can be zero, if only 6s were thrown.) For example, in the trial 66423612345654 the longest subsequence of successive rolls in which the value 6 does not occur is 12345. Its length is 5.

Exercise 3
We shall call a sequence of successive rolls in the trial a lucky series, if the sequence contains only 5s and 6s. For example 6556665 is a lucky series, with a length of 7.
Find out, which is the most frequent length for lucky series. If there are more than one "most frequent" lucky series lengths, print the longest. If there are no lucky series in the trial, print zero.

Be aware. We are not interested in the most frequent lucky series. The four lucky series 656, 555, 556 and 666 are equivalent for us, all of them are lucky series of length three. We are looking for the most frequent length of lucky series.

For example, in trial 5533661656, the series 656 is the longest lucky series. But there is only one lucky series of lenght three in the trial. 55 and 66 are also lucky series. This is why the correct answer is 2. In trial 456116513656124566 both the lucky series with length of 2 and 3 occur twice, there is a tie between them. Now the length of the longest (that is 3) should be printed. Examples example1 and example2 are aimed to make this situation clear.

check out my solution here: https://hastebin.com/osesajedog.py

the first exercise is a bit tricky. It says exactly two 6s... I interpreted that to mean 6666 and 666666 are wrong. You can add further tests using my checker function.

Note that my solution didn't cater for edge cases like 'No user input' or 'non-integer input values'.

Several research has shown that children who are raised by 2 parents, who are both responsible and dedicated, usually perform well in school. Not only that, the risk for emotional and behavioural problems are lower among children in 2-parent households on average. Crime statistics show that people from stable families are much less likely to be involved in crime than those from fragmented homes.

@op or anyone, please I am interested in the result of these research and statistics. Links to them will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I am a software developer and I have a toy chat app under development @ https://chattie.now.sh . It was built with golang, react and GraphQL.

JavaScript will give you all the tools you need to build a chat app. Express js for your backend, react or react native for the front end and websocket to communicate between both ends. You can follow a tutorial here ==> https://itnext.io/building-a-node-js-websocket-chat-app-with-socket-io-and-react-473a0686d1e1
