TimeManager: As they say a prophet has no honor among his own people. If you don't value the President as you should, outsiders will help you to appreciate the Jagaban, the latest Knight Commander in the world. Unfortunately a certain candidate who lacks diplomatic acumen, who during his time as a Governor deported non Anambranians from his state, who wedged a divide between the Anglican and the Catholic, under whose Labour Party fell apart and then ran away yet again to a coalition, that kind of a person would not understand what it takes to be an Ambassador of Africa.

eyesoflagos: A Nigerian graduate has expressed regret after spending five years at Lagos State University (LASU), only to end up selling zobo. She took to her TikTok page to share her story, explaining how she now works as a zobo vendor to make ends meet. She revealed that she spent half a decade pursuing her education at the university, but ultimately became a zobo seller after graduation. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
“If I had known it would be zobo I’d end up selling, I wouldn’t have wasted 5 years of my life in LASU,” she captioned her post.
Her video has since sparked various reactions from viewers.
@gbemmy cakes commented: “Education is never a waste. Can you compare yourself to a roadside zobo seller? No.”
@Gozi Oleks asked: “Which course did you study? Can you defend your certificate?”
@Lily🤪🥰 responded: “Abeg, don’t fear me ooo😭 I’m also a fresh graduate from LASU.”
@Zayyy 💕 said: “Seeing this while sitting in a hot class in LASU😂 God, please help.”
@9jahairgrowthdoctor_Cosmetics shared: “Sorry sorry 😂😂😂 I studied microbiology for 5 years too, and now I’m selling haircare and skincare products 😂😂😂.”
@Adetutu🥰😍 wrote: “TV Which course did you study? My friend asked me to ask☺️.”
@IVORY 🥺🌸💕 added: “Omo, sometimes life is about connections 😞. Thanks to my uncle who patiently waited for me to graduate 👩🎓, I didn’t have to wait for work, work was waiting for me 😭😂.”
@JOSENTIALS said: “Thank God I started mine before entering school. Omo, this thing is not even funny 😂😭.”

shortgun: Impressive God puts everyone in situations they deserve; don't pity anyone. Nigerians had the opportunity during the last election to elect competent leaders. They choosed to engage in bigotry and tribal wars that has never helped anybody except the same politicians oppressing them. Abia state today remains a shining example of how leaders perform when they are accountable to the people. All the excuses for Tinubu's poor showing in governance are becoming too embarrassing and provocative. I strongly oppose this your comment. Nigerians choose the leader they wanted but Eyneck and Judiciary turned otherwise |

Politics › Re: 'Nigeria, We Hail Thee': Bill seeking return of old anthem gets Reps, Senate nod by yudee233: 3:54pm On May 23, 2024 |
emkz: Nigerian Senate, if you have run out of things to debate, consider the following:
1. Amend the laws so that all employers in Nigeria can increase hazard allowances to all employees. They can also increase employers' contributions to NHIS. Also to include in the laws are increased transport and housing allowances to employees.
2. Amend the laws so that EFCC and police must put a reward on those they declare wanted. That way, people will find additional means of income. The money EFCC recovers from criminals would not be depleted if a small percentage is given to those who volunteer information.
3. Amend the laws so that state police must not be passed. The governors will abuse it. They can use local vigilante to police their states and fund them. These state governors destroyed local governments. They must not be allowed to completely destroy the police.
4. Amend the laws to ensure that all political party primaries are direct primaries to prevent governors from installing their stooges and puppets on the people.
5. Look into the laws to prevent CBN from selling dollars through BDCs to Nigerians. Any Nigerian who needs fx must go to a bank. For all cases, fx needs can be done electronically. These include payment of school fees, BTA/PTA and even letters of credit. Putting fx directly in the hands of Nigerians WITHIN Nigeria without establishing what they are using it for does not make any economic sense.
6. Also make laws to reduce the costs of importing cars to Nigeria, especially customs clearances. It is too much. We deserve to drive good fairly used American cars in Nigeria.
7. Most importantly, pass laws to disband the senate since you people don't know what you are doing. Truly you deserved to be a HOR |
