Few weeks ago, Anonymous launched a cyber attack on ISIS after the Paris attack that claimed 130 lives. The US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is now facing the heat for spreading ‘Islamophobia’. Anonymous launched #OpTrump this week on Trump’s website in response to Trump’s proposal that all Muslims be banned from entering the United States “until the country’s representatives can figure out what’s going on” with ISIS-linked attacks like the recent San Bernardino shooting in California. Anonymous also attacked Donald Trump for his announcement that if he is elected to become president of the United States, one of his first actions in office would be signing a particular executive order on death penalty for anybody that kills a police officer! “Anybody killing a policeman, a policewoman, a police officer, anybody killing a police officer: Death penalty is going to happen, okay? The police and the law enforcement in this country — I will never ever let them down, just remember that.” Credit: http://tobekeneme..com.ng/2015/12/optrump-donald-trumps-website-hacked-by.html

Liu Artur, a friend of Omar Borkan Al Gala was expelled this year from Saudi Arabia for being irresistible! He has moved to Brazil and lives as an ordinary citizen not to be recognized. His disguise did not last long as he was discovered on a TV program! In 2013 Omar Borkan and his friends were forcibly evicted from the Jenadrivah Heritage & Culture Festival in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia by Saudi police officers. The grounds for this harsh move? The visitors were too handsome. Source: http://yugotee..com.ng/2015/11/liu-artur-deported-from-saudi-arabia.html

ladywriter: @Yugotee, no please. Use your Nigerian IP, I started working on freelancer while i was in Nigeria. Although, i faced some problems because of lack of trust. People think all Nigerians are scammers. I had to prove to them that all Nigerians are not the same. I take my job seriously, deliver jobs right on time and am very open to all my clients. I make sure that I go to extra length to please my clients. By so doing, i got great feedback that helps me to get more jobs. Apart from me, there are other notable freelancers from Nigeria making enormous money there. So, please do not hide your nationality. We are great people in Nigeria and we must show it to the world.Thanks. What tips can you give a newbie on writing out a proposal while placing a bid for a project. What are your winning lines to get a bid amidst other well known contenders. |

”Restoration of the State of Biafra – A case for clear and forthright leadership from the The UN.The challenges we face as indigenous peoples all over the world cannot be over emphasised. It has been often noted that the core concerns of indigenous people both at national and international levels should be recognised in a clear, forthright and honest manner. There is therefore a universal relevance to recognise those values which are particularly dear to indigenous people, such as the freedom from discrimination, the right to live in freedom, peace and security, good governance, cultural diversity and the right to self determination. The dangers we face today are monumental and if not address will lead to the enslavement and even total annihilation of some indigenous people. This is very true of the dangers Indigenous People of Biafra face today in Nigeria in the hands of the federal government and the Hausa Fulani terrorist group Boko Haram. The National Assembly of the United Nations in its declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples affirmed, that indigenous peoples are equal to all other peoples, while recognising the right of all peoples to be different, to consider themselves different, and to be respected as such. Articles 3 and 4 of the Charter clearly states that “Indigenous peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development. Just like the indigenous peoples in Asia, S. America, Europe, UK etc Indigenous People of Biafra are now seeking credible ways and means to exercise their right to freedom, peaceful existence, security, good and honest governance, after so many years of being denied these rights. Genocide and pogrom has been committed against us, our children and women slaughtered. As we speak now, we face extreme danger of extermination by the Boko Haram and Hausa Fulani herdsmen. There is therefore an urgent need to establish a clear road map for indigenous communities to achieve self determination in order to protect them from dangers posed by terrorists, deeply corrupt and inept governments and from effect of climate change and other natural disasters. The Millennium Development Goals therefore need to enshrine clear systems through which self determination can be achieved in order to minimise unwarranted invasions and to encourage peaceful separations of unions that have proved unworkable and counter-productive for many years. Indeed, Diasporas have immense roles to play in both drafting the principles and designing appropriate and practical measures through which this can be accomplished. The indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership and direction of Radio Biafra are currently seeking peaceful ways to achieve self determination, which will create an enabling environment for eradicating extreme poverty, reducing income poverty, hunger, disease, lack of adequate shelter and exclusion while promoting gender equality, health, education, security and environmental sustainability. So, a clearly designed, defined and funded programme by the MDG initiative working closely together with indigenous communities would be incredibly helpful, and most importantly would help avert most of the series of costly conflicts as we have witnessed and continue to witness in parts of Africa and the Middle East. And I sincerely hope that this road map will ensure the search for an independent state of Biafra does not turn into yet another costly conflict story. Biafra had existed for over 500 years before Nigeria was created 1914. The British had diplomatic dealings with Biafra at the time. John Beecroft was the British Consul of the Bight of Biafra from 30 June 1849 to 10 June 1854 with his HQ in Fernando Po in the Bight of Biafra. It was from the Bight of Biafra that Beecroft, eager to control the trade in the west and supported by Christian missionaries at Badagry, bombarded Lagos which became a British colony in 1851. The Republic of Biafra which was declared by Gen. Odumegwu Ojukwu in 1967 was not a new country but an attempt to restore the ancient Biafra Nation that existed before Nigeria was created, in order to protect the lives of Biafrans who were being slaughtered in large numbers in Northern Nigeria. The Ibo people practiced democracy and freedom of expression long before the British arrived. One of the things that made strong impression to the first European visitors to Igbo land was the extent to which democracy was truly practiced. Henry Johnson, an early Christian missionary to an Igbo town, Asaba, said, and I quote “I felt I was in a free land among a free people”. The Amalgamation of North and South Protectorate was a monumental error which merged different peoples together to create new country with total disregard to native tribal boundaries. The Governments of Nigeria have failed from 1947 till now to leave up to its responsibility to protect the lives of Indigenous People of Biafra. There are hard evidences available to support the killing of Biafrans over this period of time. In fact, current events and activities of Boko Haram and the Hausa Fulani Muslim herdsmen are there for everyone to see….. Chinua Achebe in his book “There was a Country” said this about the killing of Biafrans in 1967, “I watched horrified as the Northern officers carried out a revenge coup in which they killed Igbo officers and men in large numbers. If it had ended there, the matter might have been seen as a very tragic interlude in nation building, a horrendous tit for tat. But the Northerners turned on Igbo civilians living in the North and unleashed a wave of brutal massacres that Colin Legum of the Observer (UK) was the first to describe as a POGROM. Thirty thousand civilian men, women and children were slaughtered… and no one asked questions. A sierra Leonean living in Northern Nigeria at the time wrote home in horror: “The killing of the Igbo has become a state industry in Nigeria”. What is terrifying was that this was a detailed plan for mass killing, implemented by the government – the army, the police, the very people who were there to protect life and property, not a single person has been punished for these crimes. So, coexisting in a nation with such desperate people and religion and cultural background like the Hausa Fulani Muslims have become a suicide venture for Biafrans. This same trend had continued unabated as Biafrans are slaughtered in their thousands and their property destroyed. In the civil war alone over 3.5 million were killed, over 1 million from starvation as a result of the blockade imposed by the Nigerian government. This number could have been more but for the bravery of some aid agencies like the Red Cross, the World Council of Churches, The Canadian Council of Churches, Caritas etc who against all odds delivered food and medical materials to the hungry, sick, weak and dying people of Biafra in Biafra land. The world turned its back on Biafra as genocide was committed against her. We can, together through the MDG banish the evil of the past and confront and defeat the monster of today by showing true and honest commitment to fairness to all people knowing that the light we bring will shine in the darkness and the darkness can never withstand that light. The IPOB are ready to partner with MDG to free our people from the chains of discrimination, poverty, corruption, insecurity, youth unemployment etc through transparent and focused leadership and trust in the management of resources on projects around spring water production, palm oil and palm produce, clean coal technology, automobile technologies and medical science and research which will create good paying jobs and help reduce crime as the hope of millions of our unemployed youths are renewed and their dreams realised. Only in an independent state of Biafra will these dreams be realised and hopes renewed, lives protected, the dignity of women restored and smiles return to the lips of all children. Now is the time to prevent future conflicts and we need strong and honest leadership from people in this room today. A leadership that will be honest, fair and fearless in dealing with these fundamental issues, knowing that this is not only an emerging problem but a fully matured one that require clear direction and bold economic and political commitment. Thank you.” |
Jonathan's administration has been under attack for quite some time now. The impression people get about this administration especially outside the shores of Nigeria is that our president is so corrupt that he can do no right! Thanks to our unprofessional African journalism that keeps portraying only the bad image of the continent! No wonder, in the eyes of the Western world, Africans are so in a predicament that we cant offer much to the world's advancement. Any analytic mind following the affairs of this mistake of a nation called Nigeria would know that the total system is in shambles and most commentaries are geared towards fortifying the fortunes/misfortunes which 2015 presidential election may bring! US and UK for instance are as corrupt as Nigeria if not more. Now the difference with these nations is that they have effective system that checks and punishes corrupt practices as well as corrupt leaders and individuals! China is a classical example. Why would ours be different? Is it that our public officers don't have the will to fight corruption or is corruption now a way of life in Nigeria? Which Nigerian leader; present or past will pass a corruption test if there is any? The answer is NONE! Never has Nigeria produced a leader who considers the common good first before their personal gains! Or a president/leader who sees Nigeria as one and as such pursues projects meant to touch the lives of Nigerian citizens no matter their tribe or belief! Or a president/leader devoid of tribal sentiments, who considers the good of all more important to his/her tribe! This can go on and on! History alone will exonerate Leaders who in their capacity tried to make a difference! I dare ask this question; Can a Bad Man Be A Good Teacher of Ethics? In one of his books, Ola Rotimi once asked, if the citadel of justice is corrupt, what then happens to the body polity? In recent times, most politicians perhaps those who have fallen out of favor now parade themselves as 'Anti-Corruption' Crusaders! They only beam their searchlight for personal gains whenever there is perceived corrupt practice which maybe they didn't benefit from. It is hard to find anti-corruption voices like Gani of blessed memory who was so audible and consistent during the military regime! When the likes of Tinubu, Femi Fani Kayode, Lamido, Babangida et al for instance parade themselves as agents of positive change and anti-corruption crusaders, they only make mockery of such! Our corrupt lawmakers can never have the moral will to make laws that'll fight corruption in the public and private institutions of government and at large the whole Nigerian system! So, when next the likes of Tambuwal make mention of 'body language' let him not forget that under his leadership of the lower chamber, no giant stride has been recorded in the fight against corruption! Also, his body language suggests he encourages corruptions as Farouk - Otedola bribery scam still remains a mystery to the lawmakers! Not to mention the subsidy scam that is yet to be resolved! I hope the lawmakers have the interest of the people @ heart when they go on legislating on issues that dont have positive impacts in the lives of people! Obasanjo's voice is now heard as an elder stateman who under the leadership of this nation, Nigeria recorded a total decay of the public system! Yes, we all know that Jonathan's administration has not lived up to expectation in fighting corruption in this country, yet we'll always give credit to Obasanjo who instituted corrupt practices! Obasanjo had the opportunity to set things right during his second coming as the president, but he did not! He rather deepened and fortified the foundation of corruption in the Nigerian system laid by the military , and of which, he now accuses Jonathan of! The truth is, 'nemo dat quod non habet'- No one gives what he/she does not have! Obasanjo rather than publicizing his letter of advice to Jonathan should rather start making amends for putting us into the mess we are in. He should not exonerate himself from the poor condition of things in Nigeria. Ethics is fundamentally about rightness and wrongness of actions. In as much as one can teach well what he/she does not practice just as it was the case in the time of the Pharisees vs Jesus. A bad man just like OBJ can be a teacher of ethics but I find it quite difficult to believe that he can be a good teacher of ethics! This goes to all our public officers! We will find it difficult to believe that our leaders (the presidency, Senate, HOA, Ministers, Governors, Political Parties et al) are ready to fight corruption until they start setting examples with themselves! |
Peter Obi keeps taking gaint strides I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ all sectors of Anambra state. His developmental strategy carved into ANIDS ensures that all sectors of governance experience a massive turn around! God'll continue to bless Anambra with leaders that understand that governance transcends Road construction and media hype! |
Over reliance on foreign made products destroyed the manufacturing industry in Nigeria and as such has made most Nigerian Youths Lazy! Nigerian government and our leaders should harken to the voice of reason and see farther than they see now, These enterprising youths in Aba and other cities in Nigeria can do more with the right support and aid! Aba still remains the center of SMEs in Nigeria. They can do more than China! Sentiments apart! |
A Tennessee judge has ordered a baby's first name changed from "Messiah" to Martin, saying that the only true messiah is Jesus Christ, a ruling the boy's mother promises to appeal, a Tennessee television station has reported. "The word 'messiah' is a title, and it's a title that has only been earned by one person, and that one person is Jesus Christ. And the child would likely struggle with his given first name because he lives in Cocke County, a predominantly Christian area in eastern Tennessee", the Judge said. The baby's mother Jaleesa Martin said she would appeal against the judge's order. "I didn't think a judge could change my baby's name because of her religious beliefs," she said. She said she chose the name not because of its religious connotations, but because she liked how it sounded with her two other children's names, Micah and Mason. http://yugotee..com/2013/08/judge-orders-parent-to-change-their.html

Pastor Rodney Wills has been fired for attending a Rick Ross concert after nearly four years of service to Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. “We cannot have our leader supporting people of this world who are tearing down the kingdom of God,” the church's deacon, Miles Langley said, according to AmericaPreachers.com. “We know that many saints will have mixed opinions from our actions, but this is not how we do things here at Mt. Salem...We cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next. Period." The deacon board voted on Wills' position Saturday (August 3). When Wills arrived to church Sunday (August 4), he found that his name had been removed from his office door and his parking sign had been taken down. Langley said that this was the second time Wills was found at a Rap show. Months before, the deacon board reportedly met with Wills after he was seen at a Lil Wayne concert. Wills was the youngest pastor in Mt. Salem's history when he was installed at 26 years old. He now holds the record for the shortest term with close to 4 years of service. Wills isn't the first to suffer consequences at work in relation to Hip Hop. Last year, it was reported that a teacher was suspended for playing Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Same Love" in a middle school classroom. http://yugotee..com/2013/08/pastor-rodney-wills-fired-for-attending.html

iamswizz: Its either i'm drunk..Its so obvious u've taken substance that is affecting your system! Don't start your day with 'Cracks' cos it'll definitely crack your reasoning and ability to understand simple issues! |
seanet02: Same Soludo who almost ran down the banking sector.....If you don't have your facts right, then don't make such public comments! Ask yourself this simple question; How was the Banking sector in Nigeria perceived globally before Soludo? Soludo came in and shook the sector by repositioning it to compete globally! The merger alone is the reason why you can see the like of UBA, GTB, Zenith and some other banks competing in some African countries other than Naija! People can now trust financial institutions because of the policies his administration put in place @ CBN. SOLUDO - SOLUTION 2 Anambra! |
Obiagelli: Well said but Ngige ain't bad either can take anambra to the next level. Obi is also a techocrat but did he take anambra to its hieght ?@ Obiageli, we know you are an ardent supporter of Ngige! Let's be more analytical about what governance is all about! Ngige came into Anambra with a stolen mandate and in a bid to mesmerize us, embarked on Road construction and Rehabilitation without a sustainable developmental startegy for the state. People who don't understand that governance is all about having a structure that'll last kept on praising him not knowing he had no clue and how to govern Anambra! Peter Obi whose mandate Ngige stole came in and was more determined! He came with α̲̅ sustainable developmental strategy which saw to it the development of almost all the sectors in the state! ANIDS is α̲̅ process that touched all the communities in Anambra and has strategies that other governors can tap into! Peter Obi may not have done all, but so far, he is still the best governor in Anambra. He has achieved so much without borrowing! He attracted a lot of foreign investment to Anambra! Ngige which by the way means (FENCE) in Igbo language is just a local politician that can't even make α̲̅ change I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ the senate! A Technocrat like Soludo, will not only be α̲̅ better solution and alternative, he would also hinge on the Sustenable developmental plans of Obi's administration and reposition Anambra. He won't shove Obis strategy to d dustbin! Soludo is not only known locally but internationally and I tell you, the International Agencies presently collaborating with the Anambra govt. Will do more if they have someone with integrity, intelligence and much clue about governance taking over from Obi. Let's forget Ngige and APC I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ anambra for now. Dora Akunyili should be warming up 2 replace Ngige @ the senate! |
The Akwa Ibom State Government in Nigeria’s South-South late yesterday joined issues with Self-appointed spokesman of the Lagos State Government, Chief Joe Igbokwe, over his claim that it wrote to the Lagos State Government demanding it to evacuate its destitute indigenes from Akwa Ibom. Igbokwe, who heads a government parastatal known as Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance & Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) and functioned as Publicity Secretary of the Lagos State Chapter of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), made the claim while seeking to justify the July 24 deportation of 72 non-indigenes dumped at Onitsha, Anambra State, in the wee hours of the morning by agents of the Lagos State Government. Replying via a statement issed in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital, the State Commissioner for Information & Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, accused Igbokwe of lying over the issue. He explained that the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, in the course of carrying out their welfare programme, came across two “vagrant psychotics”, whom they took to hospital for medical treatment. Umanah disclosed that “the patients, having considerably recovered from their ailment, gave their names as Babatunde Obamaiviya and Tunde Jimmy and claimed to be indigenes of Lagos State, and had no relations in Akwa Ibom State.” He said that based on doctor’s advice, the duo was placed on trial leave and had no family members in the state, it became expedient for the Akwa Ibom Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare to write her Lagos State counterpart on the patients’ challenge. Umanah quoted the ministry’s letter No. MWASW/AD/239/Vol.111/102, dated July 23, 2013, which said: “This is to inform the Honourable Commissioner that in our bid to rid the State Capital of lunatics, in line with the transformation policy of the present Administration, the under listed persons who are known vagrant psychotics were evacuated, during the clean up exercise to remove lunatics off the streets of Akwa Ibom State. “Since then, the patients were hospitalized and duly treated with good responses. Following their processes of recovering of sanity, the doctor has placed them on trial leave. However, in view of the fact that they are indigenes of Lagos State and have no relations in Uyo, we have decided to refer them to you for further medical management/treatment and necessary action, please.” Umanah stressed that Akwa Ibom State Government at no time requested the evacuation of non-indigenes, nor did it deport non-indigenes. He wondered why Igbokwe could engage in such blatant misrepresentation. The commissioner assured all that the government of Akwa Ibom State would continue to accommodate and protect all law-abiding residents in the state irrespective of their creed or state of origin. By EVELYN USMAN of Vanguard Newspapers Reports of Fulani herdsmen attacking members of their host communities with AK 47 rifles and other dangerous weapons have often been treated as a fairy tale by those saddled with the responsibility of protecting lives and property of the citizenry. Recently, Crime Alert published a story of 23-year-old Ogbonna Eze, a commercial motorcyclist from Opi Community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state, whose life was almost snuffed out by two Fulani herdsmen whom he had conveyed from Opi Junction along Enugu -Makurdi Expressway , to their camp at Idodo Agu Ekwegbe, Igbo Etiti local government area on a special drop. But midway into the journey, Eze got the shock of his life following an order from the men for him to stop, on reaching a market close to the camp. But before he could fathom the reason for the order, he was attacked from behind with matchet cuts all over his head and was abandoned in a bush part apparently to die, while his motorbike was taken away by his assailants. It would also be recalled that the Obi of Onicha-Ugbo in Delta State, Agbogidi, Victor Chukwumalieze, had three months ago, raised alarm over atrocities of Fulani herdsmen whom he alleged ravaged farm lands, raped women and attacked farmers who dared to challenge them. The Fulani herdsmen said to have fled their home town following activities of Boko Haram sect in some Northern parts of the country have reportedly diversified into armed robbery in their host communities with security agencies accused of looking the other way. At Ogume, in Ndokwa local government area of Delta state, about 27 persons were reportedly killed in April after the herdsmen were confronted by Ogume youths. There has also been reported clashes in between the herdsmen and youths in Ibusa. Although vigilante groups have been formed in the various communities around Delta state and other areas bedeviled by these attacks, unfortunately, they seemed not to be able to match the fire power of these herdsmen. Worried by this development in Delta state, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan established a constitution responsible for the protection of lives of Deltans from these criminal group that disguise as herdsmen. Even with this on ground, there seemed to be no end to the attack of Fulani herdsmen. A recent attack occurred July 21, 2013 when five armed Fulani herdsmen wielding fully loaded AK 47 rifles, ambushed a 14 seater Hiace bus, travelling from Onicha-Ugbo to Asaba, Delta state, dispossessing the occupants of their belongings. One of the occupants of the bus was Vanguard's Foreign Affairs Editor, Mr Hugo Odiogor, who escaped death by the whiskers, following the merciless beatings they received from the herdsmen. Narrating his ordeal, he said: " It started like a dream as staccato of gun shots shattered the early morning peace and silence penultimate Sunday. I had attended the funeral of late Steve Osemeke, former Director of Public Affairs of Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC who died on June 24, 2013 in Abuja. The funeral rites began on July 18th and ended on 20th, after he was committed to mother earth. Thereafter, the visiting parties began to depart. I had planned to return to Abuja enroute Asaba International Airport. From Onicha-Ugbo junction, I boarded a Delta coloured Hiace bus heading towards Asaba/Onitsha at about 7.05am.The journey had lasted only twenty minutes when five Fulani herdsmen carrying AK 47 rifles jumped out from the bush at the Ubulu Okiti-Otulu end of the Asaba-Benin Expressway. They shattered the peace of this dewy Sunday morning with staccato of gun shots into the air to warn the driver and the occupants of the bus of their intention to kill anybody that tries to offer resistance. The gun shots elicited a general shout of "blood of Jesus" from the terrified occupants of the bus. Each round of shootings was accompanied by a corresponding response of "blood of Jesus". With their patched up English language they ordered everybody to "bring out ya Money or i kill you". They had their faces covered with charcoal, while their dresses and language obviously tells you that they are cattle rearers. They carried with them their sticks and machetes. *Eze attacked along Enugu-Makurdi Expressway recently Without a whimper, we all handed over whatever money we had on us. I gave them N45,000 which was to cover my flight ticket and other expenses. We were ordered to spread ourselves on the express road, faced down to be searched. They warned us pronto "if I search you and see any money, I kill you". This was a command that nobody in his right mind would disobey. Promptly, we undressed; men and women, with only boxers and panties on. As we did so, we were lashed with the rod they used to shepherd their cattle. Each lash of the whip was greeted with the shouts of "blood of Jesus". As if the pains from the long stick was not scotching enough, a slap with the blade side of the machete landed on my back, wham! One of the co- travellers warned me: "Oga if you no shout them go shoot you O!'. That warning was well taken as another blow from the machete landed on my back wham!, I screamed as much as I could, to convince them that I was really feeling the pain. As they ransacked our luggage and searched our pockets, they held us to the ground faced down, with gun shots ringing out intermittently. We were half dead. The thought in my heart then was either that they would open fire on us or allow on-coming trailer to crush us all. Fortunately, their gun shots had warned other vehicles to stay off from the scene of danger. It was a 30 minutes ordeal which ended with a command from one of them who said, "let's go".We waited for about three minutes to be sure our tormentors were gone before we got up from the ground and scampered to find our clothes from where they were flung. Confused, scared and traumatized we picked ourselves together but our telephones and cash were gone. My suitcase containing my mini lap top, tape recorder, ATM cards, cheque books, shoes, clothes, documents and other valuables, were gone. I was cashless in the real sense of the word that going forward was as difficult as going back. Drama of Police Report The police arrived five minutes after the criminals had gone. Graciously, they assisted some of the wounded passengers to Agbor while those of us going to Asaba were asked to continue with the ill-fated vehicle. Reporting the incident to the police became another tug of war. At first the reaction of the victims was to get out of the scene of torment, even when the police came, we were not interested in reporting our ordeal to them. On reaching Asaba, my immediate reaction was to get across to my family but this became a difficult task getting to recall telephone numbers in a confused and traumatised state of mind. When I eventually got through to my family, my next task was how to get access to funds to keep things going. It was not until 6 pm that Chief Akaeze Ibonye took me to the police station to make an official report of the loss of my identity cards and other items which could be found on the crime scene, as this could make me a suspect instead of a victim. But at the station, I was warned not to say that the robbers were of Fulani extraction, that there was a serious effort by security agencies to conceal the fact that the perpetrators of the crime were from Northern part of the country. But I objected to that. After much trouble, I was referred to Okpanam police station because the scene of the incident was not within Asaba jurisdiction. On Monday, July 22, 2013, I went to a police station at Okpanam which also declined to enter my report. Instead, I was referred to Isele Uku. On stating my case, a police officer asked me to lead him to the scene of the crime. This sounded idiotic as it means that I could as well lead the police man to the camp of the criminals. The Ozah of Onicha Ugbo Chief Azubukwu Mosindi, told this reporter that several reports have been made concerning these Fulani boys but nobody seemed to care. This was further collaborated by Chief Patrick Onwochei who said the activities of these herdsmen who terrorize the entire length and breath of Delta State with impunity. From Isele Uku, I was further referred to Ogwashi Uku, where for the second time, I was asked not to describe the robbers as Fulani herdsmen. Of course, I refused, but made my report all the same", he said. Residents of the area have therefore, called on the Federal and state government, as well as the Inspector-General of Police to wade into the matter with a view to checkmating activities of these Fulani herdsmen whom they described as emerging terrorists |

http://yugotee..com/2013/08/talking-to-kids-about-sex.html Kids and sexuality — those words strike fear into the hearts of many parents. But talking to kids about sex is an important part of parenting. Children and adolescents need your guidance to help them make healthy and appropriate decisions about their sexual behavior. When it comes to talking to kids about sex, there's no set script. And sex education needn't be a single tell-all discussion. Instead, look for everyday opportunities and let your child set the pace with his or her questions. Provide just the information that your child is asking for and is able to understand. As your child matures and asks more-detailed questions, you can provide more-detailed responses. It's normal to feel uncomfortable when talking to kids about sex. But remember that by providing accurate and open communication, you increase the odds that your child will understand your values, make appropriate choices about sex" and not get the wrong information elsewhere. |
Two protesters set up shop outside The Mrs. Carter Show at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. warning Mrs Obama and other concert goers that Beyonce and Jay Z were possessed by demons. Founder of the Pray at the Pump movement, Rocky Twyman, tells Afro.com "We believe that this couple is virtually destroying our youth. If you go on the Internet, you’ll see stories about how they’re both part of the Illuminati and you can see Jay-Z’s use of the Satanic triangle symbol when he performs." "Jay-Z even declared himself to be God by referring to himself as Jehovah, and we don’t think that this is the image that our young people need to be glorifying.” Tyman hopes his movement will catch on with protests in every city on the rest of Beyonce's tour. http://yugotee..com/2013/08/beyonce-and-jay-z-called-demons-in.html

Last night while having a quiet intimate moment together, Nigerian rep Beverly Osu told her South African love interest Angelo that she's in love with him "I try to deny that I love you because I’m thinking it’s too early to love you when I don’t know how you are in the outside world,” Beverly said to Angelo Angelo replied: "To be honest, I’m also kind of scared of knowing you on the outside” Beverly to Angelo - after telling him she's told him everything there is to know about her, including how she used to sleep with men for money to help her family and how she once had an abortion "Can you marry a person like me?” Angelo replied "Yes, but would you marry someone like me?” Beverly said yes, that she loves him. Lets hope their BBA new found 'love' will subsist outside the real world! all the best to them. http://yugotee..com/2013/07/bbathechase-beverly-asks-angelo-if-he.html

Davido just returned from Kenya and just days after his return, there has been a particular girl who has been granting a tell it all interview about how she had sex with the music star while he was in Kenya. According to her, Davido kept it fresh for hours. 'He' is big in LENGTH and WIDTH. Read what she has to say in one of the interviews below. So what is all this wahala about Davido blocking you off of his facebook? Pendo : If people had done even a little research, they would know that Davido does not even have a Facebook account. I NEVER said I was in touch with him through Facebook. I got in touch with him through a good friend of his *redacted* and that's where everything started. He did the intro. So, seriously, did you sleep with Davido? Pendo: Errrrrrrrrrrm (laughs cheekily) (There is IRREFUTABLE proof that Pendo did spend the night with Nigerian superstar, if you want to see it plead with her on twitter @LoveStaicey to release it.) In the meantime, have this picture of Davido, topless, in his hotel room from his personal instagram. Maybe Pendo took it #troll So why did you do this? Do you do this for money? Pendo: (Laughs) No, I didn't get money from him. I didn't WANT money from him. I did it simply cuz I find him hot and he is pretty legit in the music industry in Africa. Yeah, I am attracted by his talent, his fame, his power, but honestly, who isn't? And people are talking so much because a lot of women wanted to be in my shoes, but were not. I'm not afraid to go after what I want. That's just me. And I am unapologetic for it. I am content that I got what I wanted -which was to know him- and I guess it just naturally progressed from there... So was this a one time thing then? Pendo: No, I would do it again. Gladly. I don't regret it at all. Of course you know now I am gonna ask about the " ". Free reign, choose your own words to describe it.Pendo: He was perfect. Nooooooooo, more than that. DESCRIPTION. Pendo: (Laughing) Ok, ok. Errrrrrrrrrrm, he is much better than your "average Kenyan". He is big. Both length and width. (Giggles) And best part is he REALLY knows what he is working with. Haha, so you loved ALL OF HIM. (SN: Hehe, see what I did there?) Pendo: (Giggles) Ha, you won't let this go will you. Haha, no seriously though, he has CRAZY moves, he kept it fresh for a couple hours. I am impressed. Definitely the best...(hesitates) Ok maybe not the best I ever had, but he is up there. So was this a one night stand or will you be seeing him again? Pendo: Davido is not only a good lover but a gentleman. Not only did he not publicise the affair, but he left me with some personal mementos to remember him. I don't think a one night stand does that. Plus there is still communication going on. I'm not saying we are dating, but we are definitely still talking. He did not "hit it and quit it". http://yugotee..com/2013/07/pendo-kenyan-girl-boasts-davido-kept-it.html

A senior Saudi cleric said the Prophet Mohammed's marriage to a nine-year-old girl some 14 centuries ago cannot be used to justify child marriages today, a Saudi newspaper reported Thursday. The comments by Sheikh Abdullah al-Manie, a member of the Council of Senior Ulema (scholars), followed the marriage of a 11-year-old girl to a man 68 years her senior. Manie told Okaz newspaper that circumstances are different today from when Islam's Prophet Mohammed married young Aisha. Aisha's marriage "cannot be equated with child marriages today because the conditions and circumstances are not the same," Manie said. The sheikh spoke as the case of a girl in the city of Buraidah, in al-Qasim province, marrying a man estimated to be 80 years old, sparked new criticism of Saudi Arabia not having a law banning child marriages. Against her will According to a report last week in Al-Riyadh newspaper, the girl was given in marriage by her father against both her and her mother's wishes. The newspaper reported that the marriage was sealed by a dowry payment and had been consummated. The father, who took 85,000 riyals (more than $22,000) in dowry, defended his decision to marry off his 11-year-old daughter even though his wife vehemently objected. "I don't care about her age," he told the paper. "Her health and her body build make her fit for marriage. I also don't care what her mother thinks." The father added that marriage at such an early age has been a custom in the Saudi society for a very long time and that he saw no reason why it should be a problem now. "This is a very old custom and there is nothing wrong with it whether religiously or socially." Saudi Arabia's legal system is based on Islamic Shariah law, which is defined by the Quran and other Islamic texts. Judges are all Islamic scholars and, instead of adhering to a modern written body of laws, base their decisions on their own interpretations of these texts. Help requested The case of Aisha, known to Muslims as "The Mother of Believers," is often used by Saudi judges and clerics to justify child marriages. The government's Human Rights Commission said it was following the Buraidah case, which is currently being weighed by a local court. "The mother of the Buraidah girl asked for our help, requesting that we become involved to help her daughter in getting a divorce," commission head Bandar al-Aiban told AFP. "The case is now in the hands of the legal authority, and I do not want to say anything before they make their decision, but I hope they will reach a decision very soon," he said. The groom has expressed his surprise at how the media has leveled harsh criticism against him and his family for marrying the girl. "It is very simple. We didn’t do anything wrong. It is a valid contract that meets all the conditions for marriage? What's the point of all this fuss?" The groom has three other wives, all much younger, and they all have kids. As for the bride, it is reported she repeatedly called for help and burst into tears. "Save me. I don't want him," she cried. http://yugotee..com/2013/07/mohammeds-marriage-to-9-year-old-aisha.html |

http://yugotee..com/2013/07/pushy-train-passengers-free-woman-stuck.html Dozens of Japanese train passengers pushed a 32-ton train carriage away from the platform to free a woman who had fallen into the 20-centimeter (eight-inch) gap between the train and platform during the busy morning rush hour Monday. The act of heroism was captured by a newspaper photographer, whose photo of the rescue ran in the Yomiuri daily's evening edition.A public announcement that a passenger was trapped prompted about 40 people to join train officials to push the carriage, whose suspension system allows it to lean to either side, according to the Yomiuri newspaper, Japan's largest daily. The unnamed woman in her 30s was then pulled out uninjured to applause from onlookers at JR Minami-Urawa station, just north of Tokyo. After just an eight-minute delay, the train went on its way.

A trainee nun was kidnapped and gang raped for a week by three men in a suspected revenge attack, Indian media have reported. The 22-year-old was allegedly lured to a train station by her cousins and then held captive and raped over days because they blame her family for their father's murder. It is the latest in a series of appalling rape cases in India this year since a student was gang raped and died from her horrific injuries on a Delhi bus in December. The nun told police she was due to meet her cousins at a train station near Chennai, in Tamil Nadu, southern India, after they claimed their mother was ill. However, she says she was then taken to a nearby village where she repeatedly attacked. The suspects later dropped her back at the station and told her not to report the incident. The woman's cousins Jotindra Sobhasundar, 30, and Tukuna Sobhasundar, 28, were arrested on Sunday, according to The Times of India. A third suspect was detained on Monday during a series of raids in Kandhamal district. Local media said the nun's brother was questioned in connection with the murder of one the suspects. The attack allegedly happened between July 5 and 11 but has only been made public this week. It has been condemned by the president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India. Cardinal Oswald Gracias, was quoted by Catholic Culture, as saying: 'This gang rape is physical and emotional terrorism. 'Rape is an abhorrent crime and an abominable transgression against the honour of women and reflects the abysmal state of woman in our society, community and nation.' He also accused government agencies of 'appalling apathy'. Source: www.yugotee..com
