2. What duration of backup(battery bank) do you need and the maximum load. This will determine the number of batteries needed.

3. Type of battery: Lead acid or Lithium.

It depends on the total appliances power consumption e.g submersible pump(sumo) can be 1hp to maybe 2.5hp.
1hp = 750w = 0.75kw

So, you can calculate your total appliances you want to connect to the inverter to not be more than 5kva.
