bibe: I think all this started with the war and the stigma of bearing an Igbo or even Igboid tag. Thus most Igbo/Igboid people from the 'newly' created Bendel State and Rivers State tended to reject the Igbo tag for survival sake. Unfortunately it has festered for longer than it should. You maybe right to some extent as that is the case with the ikwerres but not so with those West of the 9ja, even my dad experienced what I said earlier, some of the eastern igbos I have met see us more as impure breed with ancestry from other tribes in delta up to Benin, or conquered people of Benin empire how stupid. |

Shroud: This is why igbos are politically dispensable in Nigeria. Majority of them are so ignorant of their evolution it's a wonder they are counted as one of the 3 largest tribes in Nigeria.
While the Yorubas accept and acknowledge his Yoruba brother form Kogi and Kwara, the dumb Igbo man doesn't know even some dialect spoken in delta are more Igbo centrally than some in Enugu and IMO.
What a shame!!! Exactly |

giles14: of all who quoted me your's was most positive n educative,
anioma pple or delta Igbo get annoy wen u refer to dem as Igbo ,so its better we manage ourselves (5 Igbo's states) than trying to make a lost people accept who they are. Before you speak bro think. It was you igbos of eastern extraction who started the stupid delta north ain't igbos shit, anytime I meet most of yall and I say am an igbo from delta they just scoff, one almost lost his teeth when he said all igbos west of the Niger are slaves (osu), that's what made most of us to claim we are different like someone from ezi or ukala claiming their village name or animal, so stop playing possum, you guys only see us as part of you guys when you need something, many of you don't even see emefiele and elumelu, as igbos, As for me I know am igbo and don't care what yall so called core igbos think, to you guys even igbos in rivers, benue and kogi yes kogi ain't igbos, hypocrite |

FortuneTeller: Continue to be broke or "man up", get a job and take care of a family. It's as simple as that. All this grammar for laziness is really unnecessary. Like I said if it makes you happy continue, I never told you am married, neither did I tell you am jobless, so continue your name calling wealthy woman, it's your choice exercise your freedom Life will surely teach us the lessons we need |

Where in my post did I say she cooks for him everyday? Please show me! Insults are only made when one does not have the capacity to make or defend a cogent point, I won't go down that lane with you, continue if it makes you feel better, my grandma ones told me before her death that because a dog has rabies and barks anyhow while drooling, will I join it and do the same because I want it to stop....... TinaAnita: See, you can't eat your cake and have it. It's almost impossible for you to retain your title as the head of the house while your wife becomes the breadwinner. It's okay for a woman to be understanding and supportive if her husband loses his job but trust me when I say she would get exhausted if the man fails to Man up on time. Please let's face reality. Please have you lost your job before and how long did it take you to get one back pre buhari Era? Talk less of now! And please tell me the business or hustle that will bear enormous dividend in four months Like you said let's face reality |

OK we agree we are broke and if you are not rich like alakija and calling others broke then something is wrong with this world Last I checked alakija still bears her husband's name even if she is richer, still cooks for him and so on, please strive to be successful like her and be on your own since only broke men say the truth |

freshvine: Why should I indulge you on the Op unfortunate experience in the hand of a vexatious woman like you? It's obvious you're feather of the same flock.
The fact is that the Op married a woman who never loved him but saw him as a gateway to disposable income and now things have come to a head, she's confused cos she never factored the uncertainty period. To her, it's unbearable and not what she'd bargain for.
Majorly the blame should be on the male folks for not conducting due diligence before thinking of settling down with a lady. When we ladies see that a man is financially secure, we pretend and commit into relationship just to secure our liability.
Have you not seen ladies who used their contacts to reengage their husbands, why can't she also contribute to her husband setting up a business, just 4 months and she'd already began stressing the man... what a hell.
Because a man lost his job shouldn't call for role reversal. The man definitely will help, or do you expect him to explain all that too and also if there's enough workload, she should engage the service of a house help not to belittle the man with chores cos he's temporarily out of job.
Girl joke apart, what lies did your mum tell you about your father... I can understand the disconnect of no father figure Thank God some women still think like you it's proves there are still good women out there Leave them to their immaturity am sure the richest woman in Africa still respects her husband and still bears his name. |

TinaAnita: It happens. Same way some men turns their wives to punching bags after getting married, from a caring and loving boyfriend to a wife beater.. And like I said before, some men deserves bad women for some reason. Young lady relax let's not divert, the point I was trying to pass is ladies should stop setting up double standards, because a man lost his job for four months he is now a lazy loafer even when he did not neglect his duties prior to his fall from grace Now I asked what of ladies who fail in their duties and their husband's lovingly accommodate their deficiencies and even provide help and the answer I get is some men deserve lazy wives Always shifting the goal post since the 21st century |

TinaAnita: You couldn't even manage to answer a simple question? No wonder you failed jamb times without number. No woman, I repeat no woman would assume the responsibility of a man for a long period of time without throwing tantrums and let that sink into your empty brain. Anuofia Let me ask you a question, what about women who can't raise a finger to do house chores, who can't look after the house and kids and yet their husband's look the other way and hire helping hands? Please what should be done to them I await your answer |

Fabulocity: You're missing the point. There's nothing wrong in a woman supporting her husband temporarily in bad times and I'm very sure that your father didn't sit down at home, waiting for food and daily pocket money from your mom. I'm very sure he kept on hustling to get back on his feet till he did. He didn't get comfortable being catered for and I can assure you that OP's wife is lashing out because she might feel he's not working hard enough to get back in his feet. That's still doesn't justify her actions though OK I get where you are coming from though nothing in what the op wrote signifies that he is not trying to get back on his feet, OK let's look at present economic reality of Nigeria at present as long as he is trying four months is too soon for her to nag and put up attitude or did he nag when he paid her fare while she studied, which in all honesty is the responsibility of her father. Let's learn to fear GOD O |
