TravelRe: Migrate To Canada Or Stay With 400 K Monthly Salary In Nigeria by Yupng: 9:48am On Jan 07, 2018
Pidgin2:
You should know that there are many people being sold as slaves today because travel agents come here to entice people and lead them astray, also many lies are being told about life abroad being paved with gold. These people are ready to do all sorts to maintain their lies and trade but people like you will not see those insulting me because you are also one of the desperate ones who will end up in slavery soon.

Seun and others know how important it is to maintain a balance between those who are desperate to lead others astray and people like us who direct others with wisdom

Like I said to the other moniker, get lost.
Keep up the good job @Pidgin2. If only they know what good you are doing to them here. It is unfortunate that many abroads are not truthful about their real experience. Beside the other hurdles faced as immigrants, your Nigerian identity will also increase your burden abroad.

Our youths need to be seriously re-orientated about migrating abroad. You leave a banking job in Nigeria and go to london to work in a macdonalads and you are feeling fulfilled. receive sense, your destiny is wasting away.

Thousands wont come back home, not because they are fulfilled, but because they are more concern about what their folks back home will say.

Can one tree make a forest two face need to protect his family that means keeping himself alive. If he get the backing of the poor surely you will see changes. Why are the poor not coming out that is the question Abiola' s struggle has tought us a lesson. He struggled for this country someone else is benefiting from his struggle. Till today we have not shown his family any level of appreciation.
The poor, the less privileged, the oppressed, the voiceless ; how can they fight the statuesque and be heard without a voice or some figure with influence ? They need a voice. 2face is voice that will resonate. Is this same mentality of I don't want to go against the system that has kept us all here and make our celebrities only glue to instagram contest and kpangolo music.

Another disruption?

What other form of sudden change are you advocating than the total, evil, backward change already experienced?
To ignite the right change this time, is for you and I to standup to the system and compel those in power to do what is demanded of them. All over the world, governments are compelled to listen to the people, but here in nigeria, the people are corwards and are locked up in fear and mediocrity.

Apart from B.A.Z.O.(Bello, Awo, Zik & Obj), I'm yet to experience any other with the Light to Govern Nigeria for Good. The rest have bungled and are still bungling. They lack The Discerning Minds and are easily bamboozled by Politicians of Timbers and Calibres.

Please, for progress and posterity, 2018 should begin with Full Autonomy granted the 36 States with regards to Resource Control, Internal Security Police Control and Electioneering Control. Let them contribute 10% of their respective earnings to maintain Federal Government.
Also F.G's Sphere of Authority and Responsibilities should be ristricted to Foreign Affairs and Military.
I pray that The Presidency and The NASS of Saraki's and Dogara's Era will achieve this in 2018.
It will remain business as usual, not until the people standup and say NO. They recycle themselves and portion the government among themselves and no wonder someone like Atiku thinks he is fit to lead.

The only way a viable change can emerge is if the system is disrupted. A sudden change hitting the statuesque. The people are still sleeping, when we awake, the glory of our nation will light up.
PoliticsNigeria Is Sinking And No One Seems To Care. by Yupng(op):
How long must we all suffer in silence. The system is so corrupt and the government care less about the people. Everyday I look at this and hope someone will rise up and speak for us. I pray daily for God to send someone to stand and speak for the oppressed in my country, but until now, none is standing up. We have people with voice, but non of them care enough to risk their comfort for the betterment of the life of others.

I remember when 2face Idibia raised my hopes by standing up and speaking against the inhumanity and poverty in the country as a result of bad leadership. But little did I know that he will chicken out in the very face of opposition.

I guess fear creeps in. Fear of going against the statuesque and maybe losing the comfort of wealth.

Our current celebrities are jokers. They are so much about money and only want to protect the little comfort they have acquired, they DON’T CARE!.

So tell me, who will fight for the voiceless, for the millions living in abject poverty, not because they don't want to work, but because there are no jobs and the very wealth of the nation is being squandered and held by a few.

I tell you, if we don't stand up and challenge the system, nothing will change. Well i know you DONT CARE, as long you can provide for you and your family.

This epistle for those that cares.

Are you all not tired yet?

It is funny when i hear young folks cry out about the country and their only solution is to get a visa and migrate. How selfish can that be? You run away, i run away, we go abroad and we become second class citizens.

What about your families? What about others you left behind?

When ever you come back to this country, you will still meet things as they were and maybe even worse.

Stop expecting God to do anything, he needs you and I to stand up and challenge the system and even if we do not live to experience the outcome of our struggles, but surely our kids and generations to come will.

Nigeria can be better. It can still work. We are just unfortunate to have wicked men in power. They see the poverty, they see the pain, but they are more concerned about how much they can steal and store for themselves.

I tell you today, our government DONT CARE!

This country is really sinking. I tell you, if we all do nothing, we will be worst than the combination of Zimbabwe, Somalia and Haiti in a few years time.

We need to stand up. We need a voice. We can.. Enough is enough #ourmumudondo
ProgrammingRe: Dear Programmer In Nigeria: How Much Is Your Salary? by Yupng: 3:44pm On Nov 26, 2017
GaniuKazeem:
Funny enough, i asked a similar question on a thread recently and got only one reply, i was curious cos then i was looking for a job (in strictly programming) (since everybody no fit be co-founder smiley ), but only one person replied on the thread, i had to go out to search for d answers myself.
I did about 4 interviews in some core tech coys (mostly some of our super-startups) and the average salary they offered me was 120 to 130k. Although i consider myself an intermediate programmer and i do mostly web programming (php, JS stack, and small python and java).

I personally don't know why people like hiding their salary or where they work(it's not a must u state it exactly) cos if u visit sites like glassdoor, payscale, indeed and co, u will see d average salary someone with your skill-set earns, but here in 9ja, everyone behaves as if they are working for EFCC or CIA when asked about their salary or work details online! smh. Throwback
That average of 120 or 130k is roughly $500 usd. Thats very poor for a 30 days full time job. Any good developer can earn that weekly working with foreign firms online.

I will find time to write more on this soonest.

ProgrammingReact Native Will Become The Best Solution For Mobile App Development by Yupng(op): 1:41am On Oct 18, 2017
The days of building mobile app using technologies like java for Android and swift for ios will soon be over.

Cross platform frameworks are taking over. Most people still refer react native apps as web or hybrid apps, hell no. React native apps are very native like and are not web app since they use native features.

Since i started developing apps with React native, I just fell in love with it. Most big companies are also beginning to embrace React native. God bless facebook inc for such a wonderful technology.

If you are smart and got foresight , you better jump on it now.

TravelDon't Be A Fool, Sit Here In Nigeria - By OBI FRANK by Yupng(op): 8:13am On Aug 27, 2017
I want to address the issue of travelling out of Nigeria at all cost. I think is high time we give this a serious consideration. Many Nigerians just want to migrate abroad without prior consideration of the possible effect it might bring to their life.

Let me start by saying, life is a journey of self and no one is in competition with the other. That is to say, we are all different and unique in our own way. We all have a reason for being here and a purpose assigned to our life.

Because Obinna migrated to Canada and became successful, does not necessarily mean same will happen for Tolu or Danjuma. We all have distinctive inherent gifts and ability which are programmed in us to enable us to fulfil our divine purpose here on earth.

Success is relative to one's purpose and to find fulfilment in life, is far beyond materialism. Do not waste your life time moving around like a nomad. Some people are so impatient and always in a hurry to find an alternative route in the face of slight difficulties.

First, it took you almost 5 years to finally get your US visa and afterwards, took you another 5 years to finally settle in California and start a family. The moment you notice your job can not cover your bills anymore, you began another plan to relocate to Canada or Europe. Then Canada it is. Now in Canada, you started all over again and also begin to notice the system taxation is killing and raising a family is challenging. You are now contemplating on either relocating back to the states or even going back to Nigeria to either start a business or kick off a new career.

The reason why you faced with such a dilemma is that your decisions are not purpose driven, but rather societal driven. The moment a man discovers himself and align himself with his purpose, he becomes careful with his choices and decisions. Do not follow the crowd, but rather, find you, do you and fulfil your God given purpose here on earth.

Almost every Nigerian youth want to zoom out of the country. They believe life is rosier and more colourful out there. But I tell you, life is same everywhere. People are always in a constant struggle to survive and wealth is in the hand of a few. The majority are broke, even in America (your dream land).

What most Nigerians abroad enjoy is the high standard of living and well-structured system, but this also comes with a cost. You will pay through your nose and often times, the system will leave you indebted and frustrated.

This is not to discourage anyone that has decided to pursue their destiny outside the shores of this great country, but rather to encourage careful thought process and let your decision to migrate be well grounded and in alignment with your vision and purpose in life.

Don't just wake up one morning and carry your bag and decide you want to travel abroad. You are much more valuable than you think. Find you, do you and live fulfilled.

TravelRe: The Psychology Of The US Visa Interview by Yupng(op): 10:11am On Aug 26, 2017
This is a rare case. We can not always count on luck. One needs to be prepared.

Dottore:
Luck also plays an important role. I've witnessed people answer seemingly impressively yet they are denied Visa. I've also witnessed a situation where an applicant was just asked where in the US he intends to travel to he mentioned Florida. The next, what's your occupation he said he's an entrepreneur. Next have you traveled before, he answered No. Are you married he said yes with 3kids. How long do u intend to stay he answers three weeks. The VO types for a while, hands him a note and asks him to go to the indicated location on Friday for his Visa. The day of the interview being on Wednesday.
TravelThe Psychology Of The US Visa Interview by Yupng(op): 9:54am On Aug 26, 2017
One out of every 10 Nigerian desires to either migrate permanently to the united states of America or at least to visit. This is why the US embassy is parked with hundreds of Nigerians daily queuing up for a visa interview.

The US visa application system is unique and far different from other countries visa application process. The core part of the visa application process is the face to face interview with the visa officer. Your performance during the interview will determine if you will be issued a visa or not. From experience, this is the most important part of the visa process and I want to dive in deeply into the mind game that goes on and how to prepare yourself for it.

During the interview, the Visa Officer looks straight into your eyes and try to engage your mind to ascertain if your answers to the questions are true or false. He or she is more interested in determining your main purpose of visiting the United State and also if all information you gave about yourself is true.

Many a time, the Visa Officer falls into a false conclusion and the applicant visa application is denied even though their information about themselves is true and their travel intentions are genuine. This is usually because the applicant might not be confident enough to give convincing answers.

So how do you prepare yourself for this psychological trauma?

Before filling out your visa application form, make sure you sit down and analyze your main purpose of traveling. Convince yourself why you should. If you intend to visit the US just for site seeing, then you should write out 10 important points and reason why this trip is a must for you.
After you have convinced yourself, then proceed to acquire information and documents that will support your profile and travel intent.

2. And after you are able to get an appointment date, then begin what I term as “mental preparation routine”. First, start by asking yourself possible interview questions and answering them as convincing as possible. Also get someone (A friend or a relative) to ask you possible visa interview questions and ask the person to score your response.

The Interviewer is human like you and as such you should be relaxed, confident and bold with your responses. Kill your nerves and assure yourself that this isn’t a death sentence, but an opportunity to engage your mind.

There are forums online with threads of US visa Interview experiences. Take a pen and a paper and outline the key points of the interview experiences of others you read online. This is very important, as it will help in preparing you mentally.

And above all, trust your guts and prepare your mind for success. Words are powerful, speak positive words daily and create a positive mental image of the result you want.

I trust God in everything I do, and I will encourage you to do same. Get on your knees and pray.

Wish you the very best.
