It is her rights to concern herself with the interpretation of every law she feels interested in because she might need that law one day to work for her, as long as she has a right to vote for her president then she has the rights to interpret the same law that should produce her president...
Well, then she shouldn't argue blindly on such matter when she is being corrected, that's the way she will learn

Section 299 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The provisions of this Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation; and accordingly -

(a) all the legislative powers, the executive powers and the judicial powers vested in the House of Assembly, the Governor of a State and in the courts of a State shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the courts which by virtue of the foregoing provisions are courts established for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja;

(b) all the powers referred to in paragraph (a) of this section shall be exercised in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution; and

(c) the provisions of this Constitution pertaining to the matters aforesaid shall be read with such modifications and adaptations as may be reasonably necessary to bring them into conformity with the provisions of this section.

More: https://jurist.ng/constitution/sec-299

You see what it said there that this law is specific for these purposes listed above not election, I am even explaining this issue on another thread why Abuja has a special status about this section 299, the law is clear on this matter...
This back and forth you are doing here and there is just silly and laughable because there's no issue with this Abuja 25%. You are just living in denial. Some things are up for argument, not this. Even our media are dumb as fvck to be entertaining arguments on this issue. The provision of law is clear, any arguments amount to foolishness.

You guys keep quoting this section 299, it is for a specific law..
I have come to realize that people choose to believe what they choose to believe, there're no hard and fast rules about what people choose to believe grin.

We believe first then try to find a way to bend the argument in our favour.

If Peter Obi had won and gotten 25% in 25 states but didn't get it in Abuja, you'd be at the opposite side of things as we speak grin

Where in the law did you see that says Abuja should be treated as a state because of election?
Try to be open to correction, it's going to help you in life.

Abuja is not a state, can't be a state and won't be a state, but you can get your 25% there, is this clear for you?

They are not try to give Abuja any special status but to allow Abuja since it's not a state to be part of where your 25% can come from.

Example is Peter Obi who got 25% in 16 states which is inclusive of Abuja which is not a state. Without the law including Abuja, Peter Obi would have only got 25% in 15 states even if he wins Abuja vote by 99%.

If the law doesn't recognize Abuja to be treated as if it were a state, Abuja won't be part of where your 25% can come from.

Check section 299 of the constitution.

Simple, meaning FCT Is not a state, if not it would have been covered when states was written in the constitution....
It's not a state but will be treated as a state for the purpose of election. Shey you wise like this?

Abuja is not a state, reason for the "and Abuja" in the constitution. Meaning that it's included as one of the place you can get your 25% from, like it is for the other 36 states of the federation.

You can get your 25% in any of the states and also in the Fct, Abuja.
Health › Re: Help! Dark Spot Won't Leave My Face Despite Using Many Antibacterials Cream. by yusfatedeeprof(m): 3:18pm On Mar 26, 2023
Ehinjuola:
Hello NLders.....

I have this issue I'm dealing with which seems to be taking ages now.

There are these stubborn black spots in my face which refuse to go after using different antibacterial creams yet the spots are still much visible, will have to wait till dark before I go out.

Help! , its really killing me slowly as well as demoralized me. Even my confidence is no more there as I typed this.

In between I'm oily skin person.
When you use harsh lightening creams it causes pimples, which turns to dark spots. The best fix is to stop using any cream on your face for now, even the ones you are trying to use to clear the pimples and dark spots must be stopped.

It's obvious it's because of the lightening cream you are using on your face. Stop using any cream on your face. You are dark skin, so as your face goes back to your initial skin colour after stopping the lightening cream, the spot will be less visible.

The problem is not the spot, it's the face which is lighter than it should be.

To be declared Presidential winner, a candidate must secure at least 1/4th (25%) of votes cast in 2/3rd of the entire 36 States of Nigeria (that is in 24 states). Also, the candidate must also secure not less than 25% of the votes cast at the FCT”
The 3 strong contenders fulfill the first requirement, Only Obi fulfill the 2nd requirement I.e 25% of vote cast in FCT.

In terms of number of Votes, Asiwaju dwarf Obi…. But the law was clear on the requirement.
What is this one saying? Peter Obi only got 25% in 16 states and that is inclusive of Abuja.

Abuja is treated as a state where you can get your 25% from, Abuja has no special status.

Don't give up at all. The PO legal team know exactly what they are doing.

You have to realise that INEC only gave the LP lawyers access to the election materials just a few days ago, and the legal team had to file something before their deadline for filing cases run out.

I'm sure that as I write, the LP machinery is sieving through the mountains of evidence, and may yet attach evidence of electoral fraud, once they identify enough. At the moment, I am pretty sure LP can prove massive electoral fraud in both Rivers and Lagos state presidential election exercise, but they have to bring in more fraud cases from more states, and that will not be difficult.

Remember that this is not the first time Obi is facing such an obstacle. These people know the process. Tinubu's team is worried now. Trust me.
Why then did Peter Obi said he won? So he has no evidence at that time but he said "I won and I'm going to prove it". Which makes him a liar. He didn't actually know if he won or not.

And all the killings happened in South East. Nnamdi Kanu is more of a curse than a blessing to the Igbos, as he was the one who reignited the Biafra agitation. An agitation that can't be actualized but has led to several deaths and crippled a lot of businesses in the east.

Why haven't they declared him the next President? The FCT is not a state, and the law requires you to have at least 25% after having the majority of votes and meeting the 25% in at least two-thirds of the country.
Stop being ignorant. The law is clear as daylight.

The law says that the states you can get your 25% from is inclusive of Abuja not that you have to get 25% from Abuja, lol.

For example, you were only able to meet 25% in 23 states out of 36 states, if you get 25% in Abuja you are clear.

But if you already have your 25% in 24 states of the federation, Abuja is as good as useless. The law is clear and devoid of ambiguity, no dey confuse yourself

Politics › Re: Nigeria Presidential Election Results 2023: INEC Official Announcement by yusfatedeeprof(m): 2:41pm On Feb 27, 2023
The pattern in this election, just like I predicted. How is Obi or Atiku going to win?

Tinubu vote in Jigawa as negate Peter obi bloc vote in Enugu where Atiku performed poorly even though Jigawa vote was keenly contested between Atiku and Tinubu, the vote he got was still able to cancel Enugu where Obi won with over 90%. cheesy

It's a systemic way of outmaneuvering your opponents.

Even if Atiku win jigawa with like 500k vote nothing changes, his Enugu deficit a state he would naturally have won had Peter obi not being in the race has hurt him badly.

So far as he's not getting the vote for SE, and SS convincingly, Atiku has lost this election.
