Every country steps in to support their currency.

In late January 2025 (last month), Brazil was spending about $7 billion dollars PER DAY! to support its currency against the dollar.

Around the same period, India spent over $20 billion dollars within 3 days to support the Indian Rupee.

Japan spent over $60 billion to defend the Yen against the dollar last year, yet the Yen has lost so much value against the dollar in the past 2 years.

If Nigeria spends $8 billion in 2 years, that's still reasonable, compared to when we were spending about that amount every year under Mr Buhari.

Truth is, the dollar is just too powerful against most currencies. Many governments have to defend their currencies, otherwise...

But it was N400/$ on the official market when Buhari left power.
How did it get to N1600 per $ if the naira is still being supported?

Voters will always exercise tribalism in their region and that is why Atiku won his region, Peter Obi won his region and Tinubu won his as well.
But let us be honest. Majority of Nigerians did not vote for Tinubu. Then how did he win?
Do you know that this is the first time a presidential candidate is winning an election without getting voted in by majority of registered voters?
If everyone wants to be president, we will have people like Tinubu winning elections.
Imagine if Kwankwaso and Obi had stayed in PDP to support the flag bearer, we will not be crying foul today. Tinubu won because of this.
If it happens again in 2027, it is going to be an easier win for Tinubu.

This are the reasons why Wike will continue to be relevant in pdp. Just like Tinubu does in able to have control over Apc till he became the party flag bearer. Wike may not have won the primaries but nobody can push him over in pdp. Bala just wanted to cash on Fubara for his presidential ambition. By now Fubara should understand better. Dogara is likely to challenge bala candidate for 2027 pdp primaries and he will win cos Wike still control the national body. Very soon the political fire will start in bauchi state.

Wike has never been a presidential candidate, and there's nothing wrong with being a minister, currently there's someone who's has contested twice but still an Activist, Bala Mohammed should focus on his job.

Wike lost the PDP primary in 2022 and since then has been displaying a bad loser syndrome. Refuses to leave the PDP and still work with their opposition as a mere minister. He’s the perfect example of a politician not to follow.

The Federal Government finally replied Bala and he went mute, only to start looking for a soft target in Wike, forgetting that Wike was once a governor and in all his weaknesses he performed overwhelmingly well in that office, even if Bala rules Bauchi for 50 years, he still won't be able to beat or get close to Wike’s 8 years as governor.

Even as Minister of FCT, Wike is still outperforming Bala who is an elected governor, he better take the advise of the FG and start improving the quality of life of his people instead of looking for who to fight to please his few online fan base.
