givedemwotowoto: In 2027, the goal is to vote out Tinubu as President. His policies were ill timed and poorly implemented, and this resulted in extreme hardships for millions of Nigerians.
Having said that, opposition needs to get together now. Nigerians can’t have this continued lack of unity and direction This doesn’t look possible, with APC winning left, right, center. My question is HOW? If PDP had performed this poorly during OBJ time, he wouldn’t have survived 2003 and 2007 elections. Only God will save us from the hands of Tinubu o. |

He will surely win easily in 2027 now.
Coupled with massive ongoing infrastructural development, these are what he has given Nigerians in just 2 years.

KIDNEY DIALYSIS almost free treatment. (Haemodialysis is expensive, costing approximately N150,000:00 to N250,000:00 every month excluding Erythropoietin injections weekly)

Ikaeniyan0: Almost every country around the world reward their sportsmen. They are only asking for what they were promised by the government, I don't see a big deal in this. Past government failed them No sir they don’t. Organized countries have self sustaining remuneration plans and budget set aside for their sport personnels. It is a job, so they expect to be paid. In order for that to happen, the FA goes to work. By working, they put themselves in a position to attract sponsors who provide fundings to run the team. Our system wasn’t built for that. Some small set of people should not be enjoying scarce resources meant for too many people. This failed government is only taking advantage of an opportunity to celebrate a small win that has zero effect in the life of a hungry man. You cannot use these resources to encourage those in sports when the economy is bitting hard on the average citizen. If we put every sectors reward needs on a scale of preference, sports should not even be in the government weigh. |

Most of these footballers are truly selfish. You had a rare opportunity to represent Nigeria and was paid then, but no. You still want the country to reward you with the very limited resources available. So you think footballers are more valuable than police men and soldiers? If everyone asks for reward, do you think the entire treasury will be enough to foot it🤷🏻♂️ You have seen a free giver, so you want your share too. When it comes to giving, Tinubu is like the last born in a family that will sell valuable assets and give it out to his friends and hypers, just to be called generous. He wouldn’t mind rewarding his longtime loyalists with scarce State funds. |

If our past heros were well celebrated maybe many of them will not homeless and penniless today. Whilst we are at it, let’s also celebrate soldiers in the bush, sacrificing their lives for our safety. I mean, these girls won the cup for the 10th time in 14 outings. IyaTola: Not everyone with many kids planned it — unexpected pregnancies, lack of access to birth control, or cultural pressures play a role. Struggling parents still deserve empathy, not judgment. Having more than two kids doesn’t automatically mean someone is irresponsible. Life circumstances change, and people shouldn't be mocked for tough seasons. Instead of shaming, focus on education, support, and better access to family planning to create real solutions. I’m afraid, I disagree with you on this one. If you cannot decide on a number of kids to have and stick by it, then you ain’t fit to decide anything. |

If a court nullifies someone's suspension, do you need any order to state that she should be recalled. As far the law is concerned SHE WAS NEVER SUSPENDED. As such there is no need to order a recall.

It is easy to blame the current generation while conveniently ignoring the fact that the problem started long ago with those you consider your elders, the ones who failed to stand up for their rights as individuals and those of their children. Respect is best when earned, not demanded. It will be a surprise if you don’t oppose the tide. Even when it is plain truth, you just don’t approve simply because it is the public opinion. Peter Obi defeated Tinubu in a 3-horse race in 2023 and will defeat him again in 2027. If we want Tinubu out, lets do the smart thing. Going by your assertion, Atiku is prime. In the 3 horse race, Atiku defeated Obi and was closest to defeating Tinubu, if not for the neutral votes that Obi won. The North will play a huge role in whoever wins. At least, up to half of the Southerners will not vote for Tinubu. Whoever wins the North will swoop the day. Atiku will comfortably dislodge Tinubu if all the coalition rallies behind him. |
Politics › Re: Why I Postponed My Resumption- Senator Natasha by Zackattack: 10:22am On Jul 09, 2025 |
SmartEnergyng: Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan: The Senator Who Thinks She’s a Street Protester in a Power Suit
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is proving—yet again—that political confusion can be weaponized into national comedy. Her recent drama over resumption to the Senate reeks not of principle, but of a woman trapped between a megaphone and a microphone, unsure whether to chant slogans or draft laws.
This is not Nollywood, madam. It is the Red Chamber—where legislation, not theatrical activism, is expected. Like Sanusi Lamido Sanusi in his first coming as Emir of Kano, Natasha confuses institutional decorum with street defiance. Sanusi thought a royal stool was a TED Talk platform; Natasha now believes the Senate is a protest stage. Sanusi was rightly removed for crossing lines. Natasha may not be removed, but she’s quickly becoming irrelevant by her own hand. She flaunts streetlights and smart markets like a local government chairperson hawking boreholes. But this is the Senate—not a constituency NGO project fair. Worse still is the self-importance. To suggest that barring her from the chambers “denies women and children representation” is laughable. No, madam—you are not Mother Nigeria. You’re a senator, not a messiah. Senators craft laws, build alliances, and shape national discourse. They are not Instagram influencers chasing photo ops with gold bills and laptops. Your job is not to hug the headlines—it is to earn respect inside the chamber, not shout from outside. So here’s some advice: drop the drama, pick up a briefing note. The Senate is not a stage for your perpetual rebellion. It is an institution. If you can’t learn the difference, then perhaps activism, not legislation, is your true calling. And please—spare us the martyr complex. You're not being silenced. You're just being... politically noisy. And increasingly ineffective. Senator Natasha messed up by trying to use blackmail to have her way. That’s the only thing she did that was out of line, which you failed to mention in your epistle. Don’t personalize this. Senator Akpabio may be innocent of the accusations, but he’s still everything that a senate president shouldn’t be. This senate house is still the worse. |
