Thank you o my brother. I was Jonathans worst critic on this forum. I was Buhari's number one fan. I campaigned for him like he was my father but as of today I regret that cos we are seeing the opposite of the change he promised all. I don't know of tomorrow o, but as of today, he is an epic failure
Seriously, Buhari wasted a golden opportunity. He had so much goodwill. I guess the true nature of a man reveals itself when he is in power. For the sake of Nigeria, I hope he finds his way back to what the masses hoped for.

So because crude oil was crumbling then we should have allow the worst president in Nigeria to continue?

Tell me if GEJ happen to still be president will Nigeria be the same? Please be honest..
Bros, you really need to stop this comparison. You and the government are on a long thing if you are waiting for price of crude oil to rise up to 100 USD. Those days are gone. They should be thinking of the way forward. Reduce the cost of governance, strengthen institutions while appointing credible and capable people, not politicians who are thinking of the next election.

stop mentioning Jonathan here, I'm not holding brief for him, never supported him and never will. Stop comparing Jonathan and Buhari cos honestly Jonathan fared better.
I must commend you for saying the truth. Leave that person. You criticized Jonathan back then and now doing the same as Buhari is failing. Our patriotism should be to the country and not Buhari or Jonathan. Not everyone is non-partisan like you. So just ignore.

Mba!

The sickness he's suffering from is not a terminal disease!. PMB will attain full recovery and will complete his term and possibly another term.

Check history book and you'd discover that many presidents of great countries of the world have fallen sick while in office. The sickness didn't make them be impeached or resign.

From USA to UK to France to Germany, their leader suffered different sickness from stroke to polio, from heart attack to Crohn's disease, from bone disease to severe diabetes, yet they all served their term and many even were re-elected.
Is your loyalty to Nigeria or PMB? PMB should complete his term and rest please. Anyone wishing him a second tenure does not love him.

A governor paying salaries, even if its 1 out of 5 or even 9months is a 'great achievement' because his predecessor or even successor may owe for up to a yr.
Paving roads, building 50m bridges and constructing boreholes are also monumental feats in nigeria.
Exactly, I have never seen docile people like Nigerians.

Corruption has many forms. Nepotism is one. Even the minister of education is a career accountant, while the junior minister is a Professor and former Vice Chancellor. Obviously the person who allocated the portfolios made a big mistake here.

It was Obasanjo in 1999, a Christian, Southerner and Yoruba, most of his votes came from the North. Then, Jonathan, a Christian, Southerner, Ijaw, half of his votes came from the North. There wasn't religious and ethnic undertones, right? Now Buhari, you want me to believe that he got their based on religious and ethnicity.
Secondly: there is nothing heroic about Buhari before he won the election. That was his fourth contest, he won because he was persistent and people wanted change badly most especially after watching Jonathan drifted away endlessly.
Thirdly: APC is not a Northern affair, is there a better alternative to APC as at today? I'm not a Northerner and I know where my vote will go in 2019 after I might have evaluated the candidates. Even in SS and SE, APC is gradually making its way there.
Where you come from doesn't matter. The north felt cheated by the Yaradua saga. Obasanjo was chosen in 1999 to placate the Yorubas because of MKO Abiola. That is why the front runners then were Obasanjo and Falae. In 2011, The same Obasanjo helped Jonathan convince the North that he would spend one term only. Jonathan reneged on that promise. 2015, the APC exploited the need to placate the north which rightly needed to be placated just like the Yoruba in 1999. That is why the 5 PDP governors decamped to the APC. Some stayed back as moles. Buhari has a cult like followership in the north as evidenced by the results of previous elections. Jonathan also didn't help matters. The people who lost out when Yaradua died are back in the corridors of power now. Be rest assured that in 2019, the North will present candidates in PDP and APC. They just need a part of the South to win it. The lack of ideology in our political space has resulted in the absence of a viable opposition. All of the politicians are fair weather politicians. I really wish the system is restructured but then if that doesn't happen, then APC needs to present a better candidate in 2019.

If it makes you feel better. How many of them have you talked to and confirmed that statement of yours? None, I guess. But like I said, if it makes you feel better.
Bros, you guessed wrong. I did this questioning before the elections. From colleagues to neighbours to friends and people too numerous to mention. I was for neither PDP nor APC as I believed they are the same. I watched the debate and scored the NCP candidate highest. That was Onovo. I believed that the two front runners were an embarrassment to Nigeria. You had a corrupt weakling on one side and a former dictator who just wanted power for the love of it on the other. Mind you, the two of them have some good sides. But then Nigerians deserve better. Don't deceive yourself that Nigeria has grown past ethnicity and religious bias in elections. The northern oligarchy wanted power back hence exploited the hero status of Buhari, the south-west felt aggrieved about appointments, got their man as VP amongst other positions. Good thing is that some have realized the mistake early on. If it makes you feel better, you can continue your bias. Unless you are close to government, recession no dey look face. By the way, 2019 will convince you. Nothing will stop APC from winning so long as the north remains united.

But what exactly are they happy about? Have their job prospects improved under Buhari? Are they asked for fewer bribes since he took power? Has their infant mortality rate declined? Have their children's school attendance rates gone up since Buhari became president? Alright then, has the malnourishment rate gone down under his watch? Other than possibly reining in Boko Haram, can the northern masses cheering his return give a single concrete reason for jubilating at Buhari's return, other than the usual petty tribal and religious ones?

If Buhari had delivered on his campaign promises, that would be one thing, but by any objective standard the man has been a failure, taking 6 precious months just to appoint a cabinet, then spurring massive capital flight and an avoidable recession through his misguided efforts to "save" the Naira. It is perfectly reasonable for Nigerians to despair that many of their fellow-citizens should be ignorantly cheering on such a failure of a leader, as it means there is little hope of improved governance in the near future: these sheep-like supporters will vote for Buhari no matter how much unnecessary suffering he brings on their heads.
You have spoken well. However note that Nigerians are blinded by sentiments, ethnicity and religion. All that is happening now shows that 2015 was an ethnic struggle. The acclaimed rational or enlightened people were deceived by propaganda.

You can call me whatever you like. It is your right to continue to speculate foolishly when you don't even know my belief.

You all just need to stop the hatred and lies coming from side of the country. There are a lot of good people from your side of the country but the few bad eggs from your side are the loudest ones. Some of you offer nothing but hate and division.

You have all always been saying Osinbajo sidelined. In fact, calling him "mere commissioner". Some of you also claimed Osinbajo was kicked out of security meeting which was one of the lies spread by your cohorts. Now the person you have all labelled "mere commissioner" is in the seat of power and doing well and better than hopeless Buhari, you have all become more angry and hitting your heads on the wall again for the hatred some of you have in your heart.

Keep hating while people who love this country come together and salvage this country. Nigeria is on track again.
Bros, majority in Nigeria are still influenced by ethnicity and religion. I can bet that you that is so enlightened do not live in Nigeria just like majority of the enlightened people.

And when those Northerners were head of state did the country ever move forward?

The answer is a clear 'no'.

Even now, Buhari plunged this country into its worst situation in decades. Now that he has gone and a southerner is in charge the country is actually making some progress. Is that a coincidence?

Let them manage their states well before they start running to the FG to mess things up there as they have done in the north, especially the north east.
The funny thing is that they are already positioning for 2019.

Jonathan has never been a smart man, and not just that, he also had this huge inferiority complex to deal with. The likes of DAM, NOI, Clerk, etc intimidated and bullied him into taking decisions he would otherwise have relied on his basic intellect to take.

The very first false move he made was contesting in 2011. Regardless, he had the chance to right his wrong in 2015 only to bungle it like a blind amputee in a bobsled.

I dont see the useless enterprise ever recovering from their current state of coma.
I agree with you that Jonathan made a mistake contesting in 2011. It would have been a glorious opportunity to correct the system and leave. It seems there is a spirit in Aso Rock that confuses whoever is there. Maybe it's the praise singers.

I always knew 2015 was an ethnic struggle. The north was just smart enough to put up a smokescreen with the aid of the Lagos media. This deceived many gullible Nigerians.
One more thing, Nigerians need to stop this hero-worship of their leaders. It has already started with the Acting President. We should aim for strong institutions.

what is wrong with some of you? Yes gej has come and gone but you guys are still on him after 2 years. The 16 years you are referring to, most of the people that were destroying naija in those 16 years are in apc now continuieng their destruction of naija. The problem with this government is not past administration but their policies. Companies have sacked workers or folded up because of buhari and his policies. Other companies have relocated to other countries. You talk about cutting down on costs and spending but i ask you, has buhari cut down on anything? The presidency has been allocated more allowances, the senate and house of representatives have also more allowances. The president that budgeted billions for one hospital in aso rock finds it appropriate to travel to oversea just for check up. The feeding allowance for aso rock is almost 2billion now. The worst part is that these people do not even have any plans on how to solve the problems they have created. No matter how you try to defend and twist these things, buhari is the worst president ever in nigeria. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to defend this. Buhari has failed woefully.
