Politics › Re: 2023 Presidential Election Projection By Voting Patterns And Trends.(opinion) by zaimeg: 4:14am On Dec 17, 2022 |
aninibinladen: You sit in a one bedroom shanty in Mushin and turn yourself to a seer predicting how the North will vote because the one who has siphoned the wealth of Lagos is contesting.
Did you factor in the fact that 2019 the two major parties had a fulani man contesting against another fulani man and the election favoured the one who had a cult following?
Ask yourself the following questions:
1. Does Tinubu have the cult like following Buhari had in the North?
2. Are the ordinary Northeners (without prompting) campaigning for Tinubu like they did for Buahri in 2019 and 2015?
3. Will the Hausa/Fulani give up the Presindecy for a Kanuri Vice President knowing fully well the ambition of shettima?
4. With a Tinubu win, the Yoruba's take the Presidency. The kanuri's will take the VP while the SS or SE takes the senate presidency, where does this place the hausa/fulani bloc? Will they be willing to relinquish the number 1 or 2 position for the first time since 1999 for a possible 4th position (which the NC might also be vying for), will the hausa/fulani accept to be without power knowing fully well they can easily get the Presidency?
5. Have you bothered following SM platforms or groups where northerners dominate? Have you bothered to feel the pulse of the northerners on the streets? If you have, does their utterances look like a people who will be voting Tinubu?
6. You made reference to the low % of votes Atiku got in some states but what you failed to understand was that it was a 'family' affair hence the result. Is Tinubu a Northerner?
7. You think Northerners are f.00ls and dummies and so a whole lot of you assume they don't read the things you put up on SM. The SW will vote en-mass for one of theirs but the f.00lish northerners will not replicate same up North because they're m.ugus right? You and your likes say this every day!
The two states certain for Tinubu in the North are Borno and Yobe. Kwara he might have but that's where it ends. Buhari himself won Nasarawa in 2019 with the slightest of margins, is it Tinubu that will come and better Buhari's numbers there? Can Lalong muscle anything in Plateau?
2019 will not be 2023, the dynamics and the actors are different. There will still be realignment in the coming weeks and as the election draws nearer the SE will be faced with the choice of either going ahead with Obi knowing he doesn't have traction in the North, going with Tinubu knowing a Tinubu win will mean waiting for 16 years for another shot or going with Atiku and waiting 8 years.
Instead of sitting in your Mushin room and allocating Northern votes, try to build your data by sampling the Opinions of northerners in the streets of Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kebbi, Katsina, Bauchi etc and on SM platforms like BBC hausa & VOA hausa. Trust me, once you do this, you will reset back to factory settings. Thank you. These people don't understand what is happening in the north. I visit BBC hausa to read comments and I can tell you Tinubu has no path to win in the north. An offline poll in kebbi state gave Atike more than 60 percent. In addition to that, there may be voter apathy in the north. Many of then are disillusioned by Buhari's performance. |

onatisi: very good but this is what we have been saying about the APC chances, this is exactly what Atiku wants, the southwest votes will be split, Atiku knows he cants win the states all he is looking for in the south is just 25-30% . we have been saying it that the emergence of peter obi as a presidential candidate will affect tinubu, even in the southwest.
we can argue all day that it is just social media hype but the truth is that peter obi has a massive following in the south, i am sure if a survey is done in his southeast region , tinubu won't even get up to this figure here.
THIS ELECTION WILL BE WON IN THE NORTH, REASON WHY ATIKU IS FOCUSING THERE. ATIKU THAT HAS REFUSED TO MEET THE FIVE PDP GOVERNORS WHO HAVE BEEN AGAINST HIM IS THE SAME ATIKU THAT QUICKLY RUSHED TI BAUCHI TO MEET THE GOVERNOR THERE BEFORE WIKE AND HIS TEAM GOT THERE THAT SHOWS WHERE HIS PRIORITIES ARE
This is why I laugh at APC vuvuzelas. I am yet to see Tinubu's pathway to win in the north. The northern talakawas hate APC so much now. Their alternatives are Atiku and Kwankwaso. |

Tinubu will find it difficult to win the NW and NE over Kwankwaso and Atiku. With the increasing Obi momentum, Atiku has to go for broke in the core north. There is an ongoing battle for who the prominent Islamic clerics will endorse. So what is Tinubu's pathway? He may end up winning only the southwest. Go to forums where Hausa is spoken and you will understand. There is a lot of anger against the APC by the average northerner. I come in peace. |

Most media houses and activists are paid to push the narratives of their sponsor. In 2015,we had other parties like NCP, KOWA amongst others. NCP had Martin Onovo, KOWA had Prof. Remi Sonaiya. I listened to them during the debate. We need to break away from these vultures who have been in the political space since time immemorial. If only Nigerians will vote without ethnic and religious bias. |

I'm fed up being disappointed. PDP & APC are not the only contestants. |

Josh121: Hahahahaha bro I have been to Malaysia on student visa and have also process for people before. You can't get the Val if it not on 100%, a new process is started when you get to Malaysia with your single entry at also have to wait till it 100% the school will collect your passport with your pass for you I don't know when you processed yours or when you helped someone. The process is now continuous. My position is based on that of someone I helped this month. He got his VAL in August at 80%. It moved to 85% after he arrived MY and submitted his registration letter and medicals to emgs. It is now 100% cos the student pass has been stamped on the passport. Even when I processed mine last year, I got my val at 70%. Some changes were made to the process last year. More changes were made this year. We don't need to argue over it. |

So when you observed that, you can not inform the President.
How will he know when he does not use the hospital ?
He even read state of the hospital as reported by our correspondent. Mrs. AISHA BUHARI on the pages of newspaper and no action was taken. By now, the Buhari I voted for would have sacked the minister of health and whoever is in charge. But no be him APC give me. Unfortunately there is no warranty
Any way if Zara's voice and Aisha's Voice can not get to Buhari's ear. I give up.
I am waiting for this time next year IF NOTHING CHANGES I will swallow my pride and scream
"I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED !!!"
Thanks to PDP and 16 years of looting the NATION DRY.if not why would an old man out of touch have a chance in the first place. Bros, you were scammed. Buhari and Jonathan were not the only people on the ballot. Don't blame Jonathan. Blame your shortsightedness. Buhari is part of the problems of Nigeria from 1966 alongside OBJ and IBB. In 2019, don't go with the narratives of the major parties. They are like two sides of a coin. Push for the retirement of any politician who has been in office since 1999. Do this for every elective position you vote for. Discard the old guard. Many people are tired of them. |

We don't have that in Nigeria, however, routine checks are done at toll gates if need be all over the world In that case, it becomes a check point or border post. Don't mix it up. Do a little research. |

Go to her parents and tell them you will not tolerate such attitude. If it means calling off the wedding, go ahead and do so. If however, you don't mind what happens to your family after you are married, then go ahead with the wedding but don't attack her later or force her to love them or change. It's now or never. Honorable I see you. Hope you are safe? Zukky. |

Kranjar: @zaimeg Pls how did you get your offer letter from USM and how long did it take? About 2 weeks ago I got a mail from the school stating that I should check the status of my admission application and if it is successful I should print the offer letter. I logged into my account and saw that my application is successful but still can't find the offer letter anywhere. I have sent the school staff several mails but no response. Just want to know if this experience is the norm. Thanks. It took about 2 weeks to get the original copy. You have to request for it. Send a mail to the person who asked you to check your application status. Give your postal address in the mail. It is better to use a house or office address because DHL does the delivery. You can also download the soft copy from http://webapps.usm.my/ips/kemasukan/app_status.aspEnter your passport number and click the details box as in the screen shots attached. Click on details which I circled with a green box in the first picture. Download everything I enclosed with green in the second picture.

Tabbaz: @ bolded..cost of living in penang is child play compare to kuala lumpur here I reside. A big room in a condo in KL is 800 to 900RM depending on the location. If I can get a whole flat in a condo @1k here, it would be a bonanza.
Also, I met a guy recently that told me the cost of accomodation in a hostel is RM100 (room of one) per month in penang USM. Is this true? It's RM450 (room of two) in University malaya in KL Wow! That means accommodation in penang is cheap sef. The highest for a full condo apartment is RM1500. Hostel accommodation in USM is RM300 for single room with your own bathroom. If you want room of two, you pay RM150. |

Kranjar: Thanks. I sent the school a mail to direct me on how to go about processing the VAL because I have no idea of what to do. I need more explanation please. It is coursework, 4 courses each semester. Download the instructions from http://www.ips.usm.my/index.php/download/category/8-student-visaThe VAL process is strictly online. It is quite straight forward. You visit the EMGS website and register. After which you pay the fee of about 1620 ringgit. See the file I attached. Please read all instructions and ensure you comply as directed especially as regards the passport photo and information page of your international passport otherwise your application will be stalled. As regards the school fees, since it is 4 courses a semester, i think at 4 credit units, that will be 330 ringgit x 4 x 4. Maximum 6k ringgit for the first semester depending on the credit load you want to register. Just process the VAL first. Cheers. |

Kranjar: I just got admission to study a Master's degree course and start date is September 2018. Pls I need to confirm if the tuition fee for economics management is actually $3300 as I was informed. What is the cost of living in Penang (like renting a 2 bedroom apartment)? How much does it cost to process the VAL? Finally, how friendly is the environment? Thanks. Yes, the tuition fee is $3300. Though you will pay the equivalent in ringgit. You don't need to have all the money with you. Just have enough for the first semester tuition, personal bond, accommodation and medicals. The fees for the first semester depends on the credit load which you will offer. Is it coursework or research? Cost of living in penang is quite high because it is a tourist attraction and highly industrialized. The cheapest condo is 1000 ringgit a month. People usually combine to rent one. 1 ringgit is between 90 and 100 naira in the black market. To process the VAL is about 1700 ringgit. You should start early by uploading your documents. Finally, the environment is friendly. Though crowded because it is a small island, you can enjoy your time here while achieving your educational pursuit. |

flyca: Learning the language is very very important.
I can tell you how much learning fluent Chinese has helped me personally. Same beautiful experiences for many of my friends who took time and pains to learn the language. While some others feel there is no need since their classes will be in English, others say the language is too hard (I agree). Others think there will no need for it in the future - imagine. Excuses!
Just last week, I got a work visa there in the Abuja consulate. My visa got stamped the same day that I took my documents there. No prior booking! Just me one on one with the Chinese consular. I just explained myself to him in undiluted Chinese. He was shocked. The rest is a happy ending That's my latest language breakthrough.
Same way, the day 5 of us Nigerians went for Huawei interview. Only one person got called, guess who?
Sit your damn ass down and learn. Stop "painting the town red" with scholarship money! How can I learn Chinese? Any pointers? Abeg give me small clue. |

ISTANDWITHBUHAR: LOL go back and read again i never say you but i say your likes, So Buhari should just stay back and and stop attending economy forum, Security forums etc?
Yes about the salaries yes it's commendable, GEJ have been borrowing to pay salaries month before he handover and crude oil price was still over $60 then.. But when Buhari take over crude oil price is $28.. So if GEJ is borrowing to pay salaries when crude oil was $60 and Buhari is paying salaries without owing when crude oil was $28 isn't that commendable? Mehn, I can't deal! Nigerians are the problem with Nigeria. Last year, my former company brought in a capable CEO to manage the company in the face of dwindling income. His policies ensured that the company is still afloat. That is what people expect of Buhari. You can keep commending Buhari so long as he pays salaries. Just remember that not all Nigerians are civil servants. Many firms have shut down. Some have run back to their country because of our forex policy. By the way, we have more than 5 exchange rates. More than 3 million people lost their jobs last year. The corruption fight is being thwarted by the same people in government. The inflation is still double digits. Maybe a miracle will make Oil go back to 100 USD. Until then, keep commending Buhari. |

Buhari cut cost immediately he came to power, The NASS were urge to cut their allowance but fail to do so and your likes are still supporting them against Magu and Hmeed Ali..
When crude oil price was above $100 GEJ increase minimum wages and when Crude oil price crashed i think best is to reduce minimum wages too but workers are still clamoring for increase in minimum wages.. Now tell me did the workers ready for salary reduction?
Despite the fall in crude oil price Buhari has never owe any workers salaries isn't that commendable? You are really funny. Please show me where I supported NASS against Magu and Hameed Ali. That is another narrative entirely. Payment of salaries is commendable? Oh please! Reduce salaries with this 18% inflation? How about reducing their number of special assistants? For example, Buhari has more special assistants on media than economy. Removing security votes? The Buhari you claim cut costs was flying around the world as soon as he became president. Do you know how much forex was expended? The NASS is a conglomeration of thieves. We are talking about the executive arm of government. What have they done so far? |
