Thanks a lot.

Jennypharb1:

No, your passport will suffice. The only reason I think you'd need it is to prove sibling relationship that is if you're claiming sibling points for your ITA

Perfect, thank you!

Stencil:
Oh then you don't need it. It isn't a document people submit unless claiming sibling points.
Please don't complicate your application. They specifically requested passport only. That is enough and they know how to verify these details anyway. smiley

I'm assuming I'd need it to show my age, no?

Jennypharb1:

Are you going to make use of the birth certificate for the EE process? If not, there's no use adding unnecessary documents.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Zara01(f): 6:17pm On May 20, 2019
Not at all, I assumed it will be relevant in showing age, no? The International Passport bio data page will suffice?

Stencil:
Are you claiming points from a sibling? Otherwise, a birth certificate is not required for this process.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Zara01(f): 5:54pm On May 20, 2019
Thank you, my birth certificate is from NPC, will I still need an attestation of birth to support it? What do you think?

tolfa:
It looks somehow but if you won't be submitting your birth certificate with your application, then Ogun state should suffice without any affidavit, since it will reflect on your international passport data page. And if you seems uncomfortable, you can go for the attestation of birth issued by NPC and discard the birth certificate with error. My opinion.

Hi all, I'm posed with a slight issue regarding my place of birth, please see below.

Birth Certificate: PLACE OF BIRTH - Lagos.
International Passport: PLACE OF BIRTH - Ogun.

The actual place of birth is Ogun so I don't know why my birth certificate reads Lagos.

Will I need to swear an affidavit regarding this or only attach a LOE for the discrepancy?

Thank you.

All the best with CIMA!

Donacanada:
He is accompanying. He did not exactly say he wasn't going to do it, but he is not preparing. I have encouraged and pushed him, still no difference. I just chose to give myself peace instead of resenting him. My score now is 412, but I am in the process of getting his certificate from his school to evaluate. Then I am also preparing for CIMA. Thank you.

Meaning if you apply now, your score will be 451, December is still 7 months away, you can start your WES accreditation and etc.

All the best.

sempe123:

I will be 35 by december.

S/He mentioned 35 years as current age, not 33 years.

There you have it, book an appointment and fly in to do it.

All the best!

MrPein:

Yeah. I just did. I found out medicals can only be done in only Lagos and Abuja. That means those outside these states would have to travel for medicals.

Is your spouse accompanying you to Canada? If yes, I don't see why he can't write IELTS to help boost your score, that's quite odd.

Nonetheless, what's your score? You can do a PGD and be done in 9 months, what do you think?

Donacanada:
Thank you for this. This spoke to me. I have my IELTS result and ECA. But ITA seems impossible to get because of my CRS and my husband's refusal to do IELTS. I want to do CIMA and have started some preparation, but I lack motivation. It just seems so hard right now and I don't know if I can make it. The Canadian dream is getting blurry. So I really needed this message. I will push hard, and hopefully testify soon.
Enjoy!

I calculated your score based on the information you provided and it's 447, using 33 as your age at the time of applying and 8777 for LSRW.

You can increase your score by doing VERY well in your IELTS, you have to max it out.
L 8
S 7.5
R 8
W 7.5

With this IELTS result you will get a 456.

If you apply by next year when you'd be 34, your score will be 451 so you're still good to go.

All the best!

sempe123:

I just did that and the score was 436.How about that?

You're welcome.

I honestly don't know as I reside in both states from time to time, you might want to google and find out hospitals in PH?

MrPein:

Thank you @Zara01 for your response.

I know of Qlife in Lagos. I reside in Port Harcourt. I just wanted to know if its only in Lagos and Abuja one can do medicals for EE.

You can check airbnb/kijiji for houses in both provinces, depending on what you're looking for, it will be best to go for a cheaper price since you may not want to spend all your money on rent.

Also google (Quora) what the living situation is for immigrants and what your proposed monthly expense will be.

All the best!

Hmmm I haven't heard about this, usually the speaking date is 7 days before LRW or 2 days post LRW for MOD.

Laurelgem:
Hello e-fam,
Please, is it possible to be allowed a specified speaking date or if one shows up a day before the exam date (unscheduled), be allowed to take the speaking test. I know its possible with BC bt not sure about MOD.

Does anyone know, please?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Zara01(f): 12:54pm On May 15, 2019
It depends on the province you will live in, you can check airbnb to have an idea of what rent looks like, also kijiji.

Flight depends on where you're travelling from, Lagos or Abuja?
Flight ranges between N350000 - N750000.

You can check travelstart, jumia travel etc for an idea, play with the dates.

Hope this N3million is excluding the funds needed as proof? POF

Will 3 million naira balance in ones bank account be sufficient for all charges including one or two months rent over there, feeding, flight etc ?

Yes, WAEC is to send your result to WES for accreditation. Go to the WAEC office in Yaba to begin, total fee is within N30000 plus courier charge.

Good day everyone. Pls this is urgent. I’m about completing my registration on WES. And there’s an information to add secondary school certificate. Want to know if this is a new trend. I intend evaluating just my BSc. Must I also include secondary school certificate? Thanks for your response
