terrezo2002: If it was him they gave the jet to, he won't complain like this. When the pastor is doing dry fasting, praying all night while you are sleeping, giving all his money to his church members while he has nothing for himself, brain storming how to pay church bills. In all these times, you won't see these complainers. When these men of God are now reaping their harvest, they come with their ugly heads and wide mouth saying they are eating the people's offerings. My question is that should pastors die poor or is it wrong to accept gifts? Jealous people everywhere who are always bitter about people's success as if they are witches You're an ignoramus |

Throwback: I first got introduced to the topic of Olaudah Equiano when I watched a BBC documentary about him being from present day Nigeria. That was in year 2001/2002.
I immediately got the encyclopeadia brittanica volume that had his name alphabet and read up on him.
It is stated there that he was from a village near Benin.
Where the Igbo connection came up from is unknown to me.
To be objective, the Igbos have provided strong claims to show why he might be theirs, but does his autobiography state that his village is an Igbo village?
Also, can the Etsako/Benin relate to the cultural description he gave about his childhood and the society of his birth? The worst is the the people arguing with the Igbos here are not Benin but Yoruba |

Ignore this nuisance, he knows he is Igbo, but typical afonja mindset..."How can this known figure be Igbo", it pains them, so they decide to open a thread. Wicked things! bakynes: According to Wikipedia he said he was captured from his home town in Etsako in present day Edo state so why are the Igbos trying to claim him. Is it because Edo was spelt an Eboe, now translated Eboe to Igbo.i though you guys said it was the British who spent Igbo wrongly am Ibo . The guy is from Edo state Jare, I was wondering how the name Oladuah Equiano became Igbo doesn't even sound Igbo one bit. Zombie there was nothing like Edo then but Benin, BTW Benin people didn't sale there people into slavery, they were only capturing people from other tribes and selling them to the white men |

Foodforthought: Misplaced priority Honestly the problem of Igbo's are Igbos themselves. These politicians can actually take it upon themselves to develop their region but they keep fooling around. The Easterners will be transferring aggression because it is easy to do so, neglecting their own failings. Honestly I used to be among those clamouring for Independence but looking at it closely we Igbo's are no better. Until we change ourselves how can we change the society around us? You're an ignoramus, Rochas rigged his way on the second election, majority of Igbo people hate Rocha's and don't see him as leader, only Yoruba/Hausa people cherish and hail him because he is APC member Don't mention Igbo here |

When I was on 2go, I met a guy on 2go international bearing Chibuike, but his location was Equatorial Guinea, by then I thought Equatorial Guinea was a very far country/not even African, I asked the boy where he from and he said "IMO State", I asked where in IMO state and he said he didn't know, I told him where I'm from in IMO state and asked again thinking he didn't want to tell me but my guy man no know, I became angry and started insulting him, he was 21yr old, I said how can person who is 21yr old not know his local government area talk less of community. He didn't tell me any thing about Igbo people their, he only told me he was born there so l deleted him from my friend list.
Later when I was making use of world fact book app.2011 I discovered that Igbo ethnic group is in Equatorial Guinea. |
