Hello can somebody please help
My program is starting within 60days and I haven’t gotten any date for my interview.

kastgeraldino:
Since it's within 60 days, you cause emergency request or whatever they call it

Yeah I am supposed to do that only when I have a date but there are no any date available.
So what do I do?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by zaynabola: 10:51pm On Apr 13, 2021
Good day all,
Please I have been trying to schedule a date but it’s saying no available date.
What do I do? My classes will be starting in less than 60days
Education / Re: Duolingo For International Students by zaynabola: 8:15pm On Sep 24, 2020
Ok will take the practice test now.

Thank you
tarantino1:

How difficult it is depends on the proficiency of the person taking it. However I believe that for an average native speaker, it's quite easy.

Have you taken the practice test? It should give you a rough estimate of how your actual result would be. Take it as many times as possible to familiarize yourself with the questions.

Good luck. Let me know how it goes

Hello
I am planning to write the Duolingo test.
Please any advice on how I should study. And what is the level if difficulty of the test.
Thank you.

tarantino1:

I couldn't take it again that day. I did it yesterday, got my result today and made 125. Way above the school's cut off. I know I'm safe.

I initially wanted to take the TOEFL, but after seeing the cost, I had to look for a cheaper alternative which was Duolingo and the school accepts it.

When are you taking the TOEFL?

Thank you very much
I will try that
STENON:
If you have enough data and time. You can try canada as another alternative. They always take in Graduate assistant from Nigeria. Don't ask for scholarship, ask for a Graduate assistantship position either as Teaching or Research Assistant with full tuition waiver and monthly stipends.
You can follow this guidelines :

It is a "Do It Yourself" DIY thing.

Search for any 40 different universities each in Canada, US, Germany
Click on your department

Click on "People and Faculty"

Copy their mails and name

Send them your written statement by personalizing it to them like...

Insufficient funds to be specific.
I can manage to pay 30%
mimilyrics:
Finance and big data analytics is good but getting a job upon the completion of your course is dependent on you (job search, knowledge demonstration, experience e.t.c).
What do you mean by difficulty paying the balance? Issues with bank transfer, delay in sorting funds, insufficient funds? Any other reason apart from this?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by zaynabola: 2:37pm On May 17, 2020
Good day,

I got admission into the university of Essex to study Finance and Big data analytics. I want to know how sell able the course is in the UK because I plan to stay back after my studies.
Also, my total fees was 18,000 but I got 4,000 off. However, I may have the difficulty in paying the balance. Please I will like to know if there is a way I can pay when I travel.

Thank you.

Thank you very much

Numbers in paragraphs.

1. Start with what you are trying to study and research. Then add what you have already studied and how it coincides or not, with what you want to research on.

2. Talk about where you are coming from. Any projects or life events that are significant to where you are. Your research background, your findings, your short story where you see the degree taking you or the jobs it could help you get.

3. Talk about the future of the research you are trying to do. What it portends for the course. How it distinguishes the school you are applying to and some of the lecturers whose works you are closely monitoring.

4. Talk about yourself again. 2 or 3 character traits that make you a great fit for the school and program. Whatever they are they should be in-line with what the school expects of her graduates.

Usually not more than 1000 words for most schools. Some say 800 words.[/quote]

Education / Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by zaynabola: 4:54pm On Sep 26, 2017
Yeah I am applying to schools in US too, just want to try this also
Scholastica16:

The GRE can strengthen your app for Canadian schools. If you get 300/340 better. But I would advise you to aim way higher and even try some US schools. You could get funded and job prospects are better in the US even though Canada is great as well!

Which part of verbal are you struggling with?

Education / Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by zaynabola: 10:46am On Sep 26, 2017
Thanks a lot.. but i dont have the princeton any idea on how i can get it.

Scholastica16:

Don't use grubber. Use Princeton, the ETS Guide and Magoosh videos. Learn the Process of Elimination method (POE); i.e writing down alphabets on your answer sheet and striking them one after the other till you arrive at one you are either not sure about, sure or cannot say. If that is the only option left, click it and move on.

Develop reading speed. Read bulky paragraphs slowly but once so you would not need to read them again to get the idea being expressed. If you get the gist of what you are reading POE would be easy for you.

Try to read the ETS guide, practice drill or PowerPrep II before the test day because no other material replicates the GRE quite like the testmakers themselves. If you study Grubber before you get into the hall, you would feel like you had been training to play Everton but got Barcelona instead.
