Thank you. I really appreciate this.
KillBill2:
I believe that when choosing a university, you need to ensure it aligns with your career plans and financial capability.
I graduated from RGU and have continued to live and work here. From my personal experience, I enjoyed my course because it helped me achieve my goal. Now when people say there are no jobs in Aberdeen, bear in mind they are often talking about the oil and gas sector. The decline in oil has had an impact on the city but this is not to say that there are no jobs for students. As a student, due to work restrictions you’ll probably end up working as a shop attendant, a care assistant, in a restaurant, hotel, doorman/ security, factory etc.
The upside of the situation in Aberdeen is that rent is now cheaper than previous years.
As for the poster who stated that students travel to Glasgow for work, this is often true if the student is registered with an agency or couldn’t find work in Aberdeen for whatever reason.

Stirling as a city is close to Edinburgh and Glasgow so obviously there are more opportunities when it comes to finding a job. You do have to factor in the cost of transportation if you plan on working away from Stirling.
If finding a job is the most important factor in choosing a university then have a look on Indeed.co.uk for job opportunities in these cities.

I can’t advise you one way or another as both cities have their merits and drawbacks.
Good luck

Please who has recently used the flywire option of payment? I tried initiating a deposit payment of 4,556 GBP and it was converted to #3,573,462.00 which is way higher than the CBN rate/Oanda rate (#2,331,858). Is the flywire rate always this higher than the others? Gurus in the house, please help. Thank you.

Your best bet is sterling UNi. dont try go to RGU job opportunity is very limited. sterling to glasgow is less than 1hr and lot of jobs in glasgow. Sterling will be very good for family. University of Sterling is a place to behold. Your family will not regret it if they are the type that loves quiet easy life.

Please can anyone help with this? Thank you
ZeeMai:
Good afternoon guys. I got a conditional offer from the University of Stirling and another conditional offer from RGU. Stirling's condition requires me to upload some documents which can be provided by my school alone and unfortunately NASU is on strike. RGU's conditions are pretty much easier for me to meet. Now, this is my concern, I don't know if anyone knows much about RGU and Aberdeen in general. I will be going with my husband and two kids. In terms of accommodation, ease of getting a job, cost of living and all. How is Aberdeen compared to Stirling? I intend to stay in Glasgow and school in Stirling, that's if I meet Stirling's condition but now I am confused. Can anyone help shed more light on this. Thank you.
