They claim they chaosed Afghanistan TO HONOR alleged Trump deal with the Taliban. But when did the Left get into the business of honoring Trump deals ? On the first day of office they chaosed the Southern Border in REJECTION of Trump's deal with Mexico.

They also excoriated Trump for negotiating with terrorists, but right now they're not only talking with the Talibans, t!hey are actually at the mercy of the Talibans to help keep off the gathering of all variants of terror groups that are right now massed around the airport and wanting to get through to blow up everything.

The middle name of the Left is Incompetence.
Their only competence is in Race Baiting, Flag Burning and Anthem Kneeling.

The weapons are to deter Iran and to stop Saudi from turning to Russia for the same.

), the only thing I disagreed with in your original post was the word 'major', stating that that word was dethroned by the oil Supremacy America attained under President Trump.
However, nothing I said meant that oil ceased to be among those varied interests you mentioned.
'Ceased to be major' does not mean 'ceased to be among'. Nor does my term 'oil supremacy' mean absolute zero need to import even a drop of oil from Saudi. It simply means can no longer be blackmailed or held hostage because of oil.
Let me tell you something you don't know about the oil trade; Even if America is drowning in own oil output, some American refineries may still find need to go for the Saudi or even Nigerian grade crude more compatible with the refineries designed and build the era of heavy dependence on externally sourced crude. Nigerian and Saudi cruces are among the best grade, I think for ease of refining.
So, oil may remain among those varied interests but has lost the 'major' status. Albeit cordial relations remained.

I did not say that friendly relations between the two nations ended with the end of oil dependency. As you said, America's interests are many.

For instance, both nations, plus Israel, more than other forces, want to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Saudi and Iran are in ancient sectarian cum political rivalry. If Iran is not stopped, Saudi will embark on her own nuclear program for deterrence.
America with other nations wants to stop nuclear proliferation.

Secondly, if you're President and want good relations with the Muslim world, where better to start your diplomacy than in Saudi, the spiritual headquarters of the Muslim world ?

They don't bomb countries for no reason, if they are bombing a country know that they have significant interests to protect.

America went from oil independence to actual oil supremacy, becoming the global swing producer.
America became the world's top producer and third top exporter.
The Left is reversing all that in pursuit of GreenNoDeal, sorry green new deal.

To me this is an existential security threat. Nigeria's grandiloquent and megalomanic pursuit of nuclear energy (I didn't say nuclear bomb please) fills me with horror and trepidation.

Nigeria Airways.
Nigeria National Shipping Line.
Delta Steel Company.
Ajaokuta Steel Company.
All 3 Petroleum Refineries.

These were some of the dream projects we had hoped would help fast-track us into the realm of industrialization and development. But we proudly ran them all aground and gamboled away, still calling ourselves "Africa's biggest economy", thanks to petrodollars.

So now that we have chosen to gambole into the nuclear energy space, it must be well understood that a nuclear power plant will not be as forgiving as these aforementioned entities. If you run it aground, it will poison both the ground and environment for you for one thousand years leaving you with no gamboling place anymore.

In short, I make bold to assert that given our record of mismanaging public utilities, we lack the capacity to dabble into this extremely dangerous business of operating nuclear power plants.
