The Woke Army

Let me quickly share this strange dream I had last night before I forget much of the details.
I found myself watching two military parades, not simultaneously but one after the other.

The first was by a platoon of Asian soldiers.
When the Parade Commander shouted "Attaainntchn!", the soldiers lifted their right legs and banged them next to the left in awesome unison.
They stood erect and rock-still as the national anthem played.
But a few seconds into the anthem, I witnessed something strange.
Many eyes were misty, and actual tears were rolling down a few cheeks among the soldiers.
A voice explained to me that their enemies should never mistake these as signs of weakness but of strength; that these were tears of love and devotion to their country.
I was told it was the national anthem that does it to them, that anytime they hear the national anthem, they're overwhelmed by a surge of patriotism, and they're dying to be shown the enemy.
The parade ended with a very loud and long ovation from the audience.

I will take a break and come back to describe the second parade which commenced 5 mins later, by a military unit from the Western Hemisphere introduced by the loudspeakers as the Woke Army.

Get ready to be entertained.
