Good news I was called late last night to pick up my passport and visa this morning which I have done. But they said I have to redo my PCC (the pink slip; authenticate at FA and Legalize at the embassy) before leaving cos it'll be requested in school, it expired 26th.
So I guess one has to do PCC close to when one is applying for visa for those going through this process.

You guys should forget those people and seek for God's intervention in prayers. That's all I can say for now.

It was scanned(back and front) . And if for any reason the scanned copy does not look like what I will bring along with me when I arrive I go loose my admission and money God forbid! I think it depends on department though.

Does it mean that you legalised more than 1 copy each for your documents?, because I legalised 1 copy each. If you sent the legalised documents to your school, which one did you submit for your visa?

And that's what I intend to submit at the embassy when I apply.

You have to wait till they legalise it. I did mine after legalization
And I also sent them the translation. Make sure you tell them to write "refundable " on the recept else ur money fit enter voice mail.

Sorry about that. You should have told the embassy you will make the transfer and give them the receipt of transfer. They can easily verify the payment by calling the school. Cos no matter the documents you submit they still make phone calls for verification
May God help us. How much Is the total fee and what is the duration of your course.
Seems they are working on my application, my landlord was called recently to confirm my payment. Is not easy at all.

@zendman Bro, this thing is frustrating. I asked my school to help contact the embassy concerning my case. The embassy called and asked me to make additional payment of my tuition fee to the school and get a supporting document (from school) to be submitted (to the embassy) before this coming Tuesday of which the school has told me they most likely won't be able to provide before said date. So I'm here hoping for a miracle to happen before Tuesday cos I don't know what else to do. PLEASE ANY IDEA/ADVICE FROM ANYONE WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED

Plus @zendman and @obycindy you guys shouldn't worry I'm sure you'd be contacted before this coming Wednesday cos I think the additional documents we later submitted adjusted our time line. So hang in there guys, it is well.

Hello all... @obycindy were you contacted by the consulate or did you contact them?
My school sent an email today to that they contacted the consulate and the visa dept of the foreign affairs ministry in Madrid and I was asked to send my reference number and that they would follow up. I am still praying seriously for the best outcome!
@objifeanyi thanks for the words of encouragement is really not easy expecting a visa. I do try to interact with my class mates on Facebook cos they have a group there, for now I'm still safe cos I am only doing bridge course this semester and they are just introduction to telecoms.

I have been thinking of it too and i feel they should have contacted you by now, Anyway I wrote them today and explained as calm as possible to let them understand that time is not much on my side and classes has began in earnest. In fact I made them understood that the investigation hindered my early application for visa and they have proof of that since we exchanged emails between us on that issue. I also wrote my school today to contact the ministry of foreign affairs in madrid on my behalf and remind the consulate here in Lagos to hasten up, though they contacted them before I applied. All these I did around 5p.m today, I am expecting their reply tomorrow and I believe by God's grace it will be positive. I must say it's really an herculean task infact i keep asking myself what pushed me into routing for spain! when U.S, Italy, Germany and even poland was there as options but i still believe is for the best. Let's just keep praying and believing. We are already at the last phase so we just can't give up now. I think you should contact them as soon as possible.

Hello... any updates I'm tempted to write them though my school wrote them already before I submitted my application, they need to understand that time is of the essence here, one can't be down here while others are receiving lectures, I am suppose to start my laboratory clearance this week which will give me a little stipends monthly but these people keep delaying this visa ish! After all haven't they verified all documents before submission I don tire for this people, the process is not fare at all for students, u seize my hard earned certificate, seize my bank account now u are still wasting my time @objifeanyi how zaragoza

for accommodation i got it through uniplaces.com and they only gave me their receipt of payment but the embassy requested for a contract so i had to get it for them. the medical certificate didn't have the clause "the applicant is not a carrier of any contagious disease, dangerous to public health, in accordance with international health rules of 2005" so make sure yours have it. for your statement of account i will advise you to transfer the 10 million in your sponsors account to yours because they are more interested in ur account. they want to be sure u have the entire amount required for your sponsorship.

Just wait in fact I will advice you not to get the PCC now, wait till like a week before the end of your investigation then proceed to legalise so you won't have to spend double cash like I did.

@Zendman, since they already told me that they would investigate me and ofcourse if they do, my pcc will expire before I submit my application, would it be reasonable for me to legalise the pcc now or I should just wait till the investigation is almost completed so that I will get a new pcc and legalize and also translate. Kindly advise. I hope they give me appointment nextweek for legalisation.

Hmmm just tired and there is holiday on monday and Tuesday. Meaning I have to wait till Wednesday and my school managed to shift my enrolment from 8 to 15th. You have to do another one and translate and legalise all over again. In fact that Is what is delaying me now. My doc are complete except PCC translation from vivian. The girl or woman self wan make me vex. I go apply tomorrow sha by God's grace.

Mhen, I had issue legalizing my documents.

My birth certificate was rejected because of a name that appears on all my other documents but it's missing on my birth certificate.

I had to go and get an attestation of age at National Population Commission at Babs Animashaun. This just got to Abuja today for authentication.

Also I did not stamp the photocopies of my certificate at my school, that I just did now.

They also told me that they will be investigating me.. I just pray they say otherwise when I go back.
Hopefully I will be going back next week or upper because of the Holiday.

My school, UPC said I can't commence my registration untill 5th September. I contacted them now and they said until 26th of September now.

Meanwhile I can't pay my tuition fees until then.

I will like to know what will happen to my Police Character Certificate if I am investigated (2 months).

Do I need to get another one.. because it will expire before I can apply for VISA.

@zendman visa fee is increasing rapidly, if possible when you're going to apply take along 25k or more with smaller denominations (no change policy ish)

OK for those who submitted objifeanyi and obycindy u people should come here and start confessing how it went... I will apply as soon as I receive my PCC from Vivian on Friday. I desperately want to submit this week because I don't want to face that woman next week. Her Wahala too much.

@obycindy I think you should try and write to your school that you want to pay full tuition but that the receipt issued must show "refundable" just incase... Also try and cancel your hotel booking and use the cash to pay for a room through [url]uniplaces.com[/url] so they can give you the certificate of "paid accommodation". it is well. even U.S no stress student like this

Did u go with the original or scanned receipt of deposit of the amount paid? I feel you should have gotten a one year accommodation contract with that amount you paid for that hotel. Also did you attach your personal bank statement? Or u used sponsor 's bank statement? Write to the embassy then or let the school send them an email on how the enrolment is done. How can school issue you accommodation receipt when they didn't give you accommodation And lastly is your course of study one year or two years academic calender?

Please advise me,I went to spanish embassy today to submit my application. They refuse to collect the letter my school gave me.they also state in that letter that I will pay the remaining money on my arrival.secondly I paid about 315k for one month accommodation in hotel.they refuse to collect it that they need receipt from school.

Kindly advise me on what to do.
