Bros oo please am going to UPC in barcelona can I also get an accommodation using this Vila univer... if yes Pls send me the link. Uniplaces is giving me headache. Booked two places but was rejected by landlord. And the available places are too expensive for me. In fact they are yet to refund my 300 euros. ManCiCi1: I don't think IWP of UAB is in charge of accommodation processing. In their brochure (IWP) they suggested sites you can link up to secure accommodation one of which is Vila Universitaria, they're very reliable and most people on here paid deposits to secure their own apartments. In my case I paid to secure my apartment which also covers the one year contract (a month rent equivalent) and will pay the actual one month rent on arrival. |

No one has contacted me. ManCiCi1: @1andonly thanks much @zendman It's about a month already since you said you submitted your documents, please has anyone (lawyer/investigator) contacted you concerning the investigation thing? |

Thanks. I got one for 250 euros and 300 euros security deposit. But is 51 min from my school on foot. Will pay for it anyway. 1andonly: uniplaces to the best of my knowledge is genuine. |

I am using easypiso.com and housinganywhere.com, but I just got one site from my school uniplaces.com. Still searching for a suitable one. 1andonly: I understand the 1 month contract and security deposit. I don't understand the other deposit. You have to be wary as there are many scammers however, I paid 1 month deposit with an extra security deposit for a 1 year contract.
You can post the link here if it is genuine, it will speak for itself. Mine was Vila Universitaria in UAB so it was pretty straight forward. |

Hiya I am not a visa sage but I reckon you follow through with 1andonly's suggestion/advice in earlier threads... Since you are sponsored by Tetfund, I am sure you will have a letter to that effect and you will be fine. Regarding having some money in your account, I think it is not out of place to have some money in your account, besides you are submitting a statement (not the money ) and if the visa officer does not deem it fit, it will be returned to you (bottom line make your margin of error to be low from a docs perspective...
More importantly, please send an e mail to the Spanish embassy requesting information on any of your doubts... Embassies do not always release full visa information to public and with no disrespect, the Spanish Consulate here in Lagos is no better (I am sure following the thread by 1andonly, none of their educational materials were investigated, but it is different this year) however if you probe, you will get information that may affect your timeline.
Lastly ensure you submit your docs for legalization 3.5 months before your intended date of resumption, this will give you enough time in case there is an error (can't emphasize this enough). Do not worry too much about the PCC as long as you can submit your visa application before it expires (i.e. if it will expire two weeks before resumption, just make sure that you submit your application before it is expires)
May God grant us the needed favor on this visa application. |

Good to know that more people are now joining the Spanish train, I thought I was all alone in this. @1andonly my school said I can't pay school fee from here in Nigeria that they will only accept 300 euros which is the enrolment fee and that once I pay the enrolment fee of 300 euros they will send my documents to apply for the visa. I told them the embassy might find that awkward but they insist I must be in their school to enrol and that it Is kind of a manual process since they pay base on number of courses enrolled. Am kind of confuse because it will look somehow during visa processing. Any advice |

I didn't really ask them if I will be contacted. So far no one has contacted me and I won't even be able to meet them because my company is sending me to kano till August 20th. So even if they come to my house they won't find me. If they want to know if the certificate I suffered for is authentic they should go to Ahmadu Bello In zaria and get my details am sure the school has it. As a matter of fact the whole thing Is annoying. I even got admission into university of Siena in italy and I can't even start processing that now because my Almighty certificate is somewhere lying in an envelope with God knows who . ManCiCi1: @objifeanyi to my own understanding, the law firm would go to your institution probably without you knowing and at the same time they'll contact you to visit your home. The woman at the embassy told me I could plead with the lawyer to help expedite the whole process so I could get my documents before the scheduled date. |

I will advice you to reapply because sometimes they don't usually deny u visa base on forgery; they might have seen some "red flags" like heavy "cash inflow" in your "forged" bank statement. If they deny you again then u can appeal and show them you regret your action. They are humans! clit101: Pls aous I want u ppl to get me thru on dis Insh I applied for UK visiting visa that was 2012 base on my document there was an error on my statement of my Acc den that is y I was refused to giv visa but now I want to re-apply for visa again pls what can I do and 1 thing again they stamped back of my passport they wrote UK/Abuja........yeah I forge my statement of acc so pls aous can I re-register |

I have a feeling that those people don't investigate anything. What are they investigating for two whole months. They just dey chop our 80k. Beside which sane individual will pay 80k for a fake certificate I was even surprise to see they are Nigerians. objifeanyi: Hiya Everyone,
Just some heads up in addition to steps prescribed by 1andonly, please also make sure your University stamps a CTC on your transcript. This set me back like over a week when I went to submit documents for legalization.
Also in the light of the investigation thingy with the embassy, please try to be at the embassy for legalization 3 months before resumption date in school. I know this may sound odd because PCC is valid for 3 months, but as long as you submit your visa before it expires, it will be honored, instead of having to be in a similar predicament as mine...
The reason is that in case your documents need to be investigated, you will not loose out entirely because at the expiration of the investigation period, you still have a month to submit your visa (and you are still OK since you have to apply for your visa six weeks before resumption)
Spanish visa is painfully slow and more often the investigation could even finish before two months , however they will not reach out to you until the date written on your receipt when you have to physically show up to pick it up.
We wish all of us God's favour! |

The luck I have now is my school resumes 20th of September so my plan now is to pay my fees by july and get necessary documents so once I collect the certificate on the 25th of August I will just apply for visa immediately. I wore a white long sleeve and black trousers yesterday. I also carried a black bag. Was very quiet objifeanyi: Hiya @zendman, not sure if we are allowed to post pictures of faces here, else we would have put a face to the names. I was also at the consulate yesterday and they gave me the same reason. This is very painful for me because school starts 8th of August with Orientation and I risk loosing the admission.
In any case I have informed the school of my predicaments, but loosing close to a month in a 10 months M.Eng course... not sure how the school will greet it |

Was told to come for the other documents on Thursday while my bsc will take two whole months so I will have to collect it on 25th August. No matter what sha "vision madrid" still dey clear. For those who are yet to do theirs just pray hard. May God bless you all and most especially 1andonly. |

I have done my authentication but can you imagine I spent 31k for everything just because I could not travel to abuja due to my work... I authenticated both original and photocopy sha. The guy who did it said they requested for my waec and primary school lining certificate. Did u experience that @1andonly hope they won't ask for my primary school certificate during legalization because only God know where that one dey Will be hitting the embassy next two weeks for my legalization. but why this thread dry like this self. If not for personal conviction I for done port from this Spanish stuff because I just dey surprise why this thread dry anyway madrid loading in a bit objifeanyi: @zendman, yes you will have to take them to the Min of Education & F. Affairs for authentication. All the docs you mentioned must be authenticated by the Min of Foreign Affairs, while Birth Cert and Transcript must be authenticated by both ministries |
Travel › Re: Spanish Student Visas by zendman: 5:49am On Jun 13, 2016 |
objifeanyi: @zendman, not sure if it will be a problem because I laminated mine also, however for Abuja, you authenticate the photocopies not the original. The original is for sighting.
As for the embassy I am blank on this one as I am yet to legalize my docs, but following the previous thread on this topic, you will most likely legalize the photocopies also and should the originals be needed, it will be for sighting purpose only... also go easy on trying to remove the lamination lest you destroy your hard earned certificate.
Guys who have gone through this, please let us have your inputs and also correct me if I am wrong I have my police report(2) copies, birth attestation, bsc certificate including the one with CTC stamp from my school, health report. Should I take all these to ministry of education for authentication and also take them to ministry of foreign affairs to also get it authenticated? How did you do yours |

I need an accommodation in madrid because my school is in madrid. Do you have any contact there? @objifeanyi @1andonly by contract you mean I have to pay for the whole four months or more? objifeanyi: Thanks 1andonly, it was a bit confusing for me because the school advised against it earlier till I found out that I am the first Nigerian applying from Nigeria. In any case I have a contact I am discussing with now. May I ask if the contract is in English or Spanish and will I have to legalize at the embassy. |
Travel › Re: Spanish Student Visas by zendman: 2:31pm On May 27, 2016 |
From my findings You can pay for just a month or even book an hotel but i won't advice you to book for an hotel. Did you find out about the amount for legalization at the embassy? Note: Make sure you have at least 3 million naira as proof of financial capability in your personal account before you apply for visa. objifeanyi: Amazing to me also seems like no one wants to go to Spain for further studies. I eventually had the chance to visit the consulate today on accommodation and they maintained I have to show evidence of accommodation as part of the visa process.
Unfortunately I could not go beyond the gate, I kept relating my message to the security personnel who fed me back after he had asked someone, as a result it did not afford me much opportunity to ask if I have to pay upfront for the entire duration of my program or I can book a room for say a month or two, while I check out other alternatives when I get there.
Guys who already got their student visas (for PG programs), how did you do yours - paid all in full or part!!! Any response will be appreciated |

what are the requirements for first bank dolpaz: With my findings..
Stanbic bank do have funds.. but they treat Form A in batches. Meaning it's not a FCFS thingy.
First bank is another jackpot. But their requirements can be killing. For guys waiting for over 2 months, why not try out these banks.
Also, I have seen success from Access bank and Diamond bank. They respond to Form A faster and within a shorter period.
My take. Any bank that delays you above 2 wks, you should think of another option/plan.
Am also tryna make some common sense... |

I want to pay 50% of my fees now, though the school said i can pay just a deposit of 300 euros, but i want to pay half of the fees which amount to about 2000 euros, will the embassy frown at that? or should i just go ahead to pay the full fees of about 4000 euros. |
