mariahAngel: That is because milk is simply not a staple in the Nigerian kind of diet. If it were, they would've found a way to produce it to meet the demand.
The other day, a guy was desperately looking for buyers (on agriculture section) for his fresh milk at a cheap price, yet he couldn't find. People hardly know what to do with it, and they're not used to drinking milk as it is. No you are joking, that is not possible. |

In America people buy milk like we buy pure water here, the product is available and it’s part of their culture and habit to drink milk like it’s water But Nigeria has lot of milk. Most houses have cows and most of Nigerians access milk freely. |

Food › Re: Why Negerians Don't Drink Milk by zhike(op): 10:52pm On Mar 19, 2024 |
RenaissanceGuy: That's not true. It's simply because of cost factor and also because of non-existence of direct-purchase of milk from farmers. If a liter of milk (where does the market for that even exist?) sells for ₦500, poor people's children, for example, would be taking a jug of milk to school everyday. Our agriculture value chain is still very underdeveloped. So, people can only access milk by buying already processed ones in sealed cans or in sachet powdered form, unlike in America where as far back as 70 years ago, fresh milk suppliers go from house to house delivering milk to customers. Thank you for the good response. In south african public schools learners get free 2 cups of milk every day freely. Remember in South Africa learners get free lunch every day. |

GodHimself: Actually, the political parties select the leader at the primaries. That’s where the real decision is made.
the people only choose from the options on offer.
That said, Blaming the leader is a Nigerian habit.
Taking personal responsibility is strange to most of us. Thank you for the good response. That means people on the group elects political parties and political parties elects leaders. Do you have independent candidates? I also believe that if you can give other political parties chance thinks could be better |
