@OGG glad to have you back. Please remember that the majority appreciates all that you and all our analysts do here. Its sad that a few will constitue themselves into stumbling blocks to what is a positive experience for others. Some of these folks picked GTB at sub N17 based on recommendations made here.. Today theyve made +43% on that investment decision based on learnings from this space.... But we won't hear from them.. Until there is delayed expectation from a recommendation. And this is with them having done nothing on due diligence. It's a pity. onegentleguy: My dear this forum is beginning to lose its essence. Some of us try to liven it up from going extinct, but there are oftentimes a few miscreants who would stop at nothing to "run u down to the eight" for no just cause. Like Peterichy who has been using different monikers to mock himself thinking he's doing it to me. This is one of the reason we sometimes decide against putting out some analysis and/or information here. A good example was the last time I put up the post above. That coy is UPL. ...which at the time was trading at btw 91-95k. Ordinarily, I could've immediately gone ahead to mention it here even if am not buying it myself, so others with interest can align, but I had to inform just a few individuals who are close to me.(folks like my good brother @Oracle, @billtommy, @charlesniper, @bumba1234, @ekpotek and a few others can attest to this. The stock has since gained near 40% and also closed on full bid today. ...coy was so grossly underpriced at the time. With a valuation model that factors in all key current CF lines but uses an approach that discounts a great % proportion of all worries in lieu of future risk(given the seasonal nature of the business), FVE still computes to N2.41. As I told some folks then, the board of directors of UPL could decide to keep every other asset belonging to the company(PPEs, other fixed and intangible assets etc) and pay minority shareholders from just its current cash accrual(excluding possible LTFCF), and that payment can still be near 2.5x the mkt price back then.(@ 95k)
God knows that this has never been my style. Before now, if I spot value, I inform the house irrespective of whether am in the coy or not. ...but some silly persons will still prefer to criticize u for no just cause. What is even more annoying is that they'll never engage u constructively. ...at least, give counter-reasons with proof(from financial prints or otherwise), why ur given a different assertion or chosen a contrasting perspective.
Some even had to mock me for my view on UACN. ...as if our view and "belief system" has changed. But for anything, our "believability" has in fact, increased, so we buy more !! In the end, we'll see who will have... Time will help set matters straight.
U don't pay someone for sincerely and genuinely giving out worthy and helpful inputs, yet u criticize and scorn them for it. That's why some persons would rather analyse, discuss and give recommendations privately or in other forums. This platform is fast loosing its true essence !!
CAVEAT: Any decision to align with the aforementioned coy should go beyond this post. ...so due dilligence still apllies as always.
My advise? Pls follow ur instinct. |

Honestly it hurts the eyes to watch ...lol It has done 16.95 already. Fell back again. Mcy56: Why is Zee afraid to move 5k up to 17 ? Lol. Weird stock. The number of 1unit bids that lined up in one middle of the bid table is funny.
Meanwhile, GTB is not in joking mode........those big guys accumulated with "greed" at circa 21.......... |

If you are walking away with some profit after administrative fees are paid from the sales.... why not?. Zenith still looks good at current price. Considering where GT is trading. But come o... what is it about that 16.90 that Zenith hasnt been able to breach? Or you see significant upswing in Zenith that would compensate for exiting the other 3 earlier ositadima1: I am planning on liquidating all my other stocks ( ucap, redstarex, Dangcement etc. ) to buy zenith tomorrow. How about dat ? |

Honestly, I dont know that full grown adults will have a challenge with taking full responsibility for their trades and how, where and when to invest. A recommendation remains a recommendation , the final responsibility lies with the buyer/Investor. I dont understand that anyone has to be told this. For me this thread losses its value when everyone starts threading cautiously around their posts and recommendations. it defeats the purpose of the thread. We are better off sharing freely. Please guys lets all relax.. its getting abit too uptight in here and it defeats the purpose in my opinion. Our analysts do a great job here, and they are not paid for it. These are folks who carry out analysis and share freely. Some even go as far as doing 5 year trend analysis on particular stocks, they slap it on here at no cost.. Others go as far as suggesting viable price entry points. It is wrong to turn around and make derogatory remarks or call them names. Its actually irresponsible to do so, let me say it how i see it. Final Buy/Sell responsibility lies with each and every one of us. The buck stops on our table. The buy/sell order emanates from each and everyone of us, the recommendations only serve as a guide. It helps to research targeted stocks rather than all. That for me is the value of these recommendations. It's not meant to be a lullaby to send us to sleep and relinquish responsibility. Research you must do! Let me also advice that we take it easy with name calling and monikers like .... 'monkey hunter' ....etc. Lets remember that - even though this is a faceless forum, some people have built relationships that have transcended this space.. hence calling each other names may be friendly banter. The same person who doesnt find the name offensive when called by Mr A, may find it offensive when He is called same by Mr. B. The difference is relationship. Lets not forget this. If you do not know the identity behind any username or have a personal relationship with them, then apply discretion with the name calling. As a parting shot.... As you call the person that made the recommendation 'a monkey hunter'.... it will make sense to look inwards and ask yourself if you arent a Monkey .... for swallowing the recommendation without any effort on your part to do some due- diligence. As you point 1 finger, 4 others point back at you.... Abeg make una no spoil this forum for people wey dey get value here !!! emmasoft: In any form of investment no matter the analysis, predictions etc given by professional or laymen; whether TA or FA there is always a place for due diligence by the investor. In the investment arena, the final decision to invest or not to invest depends solely on the investor not the financial adviser or the analyst. All investors must always take responsibility for all investment decisions taken. Let's be well guided. |

Nice one Justcul.. Time Don reach for me to learn dis TA. Justcul: Lol. not personal bro, just a strategy (Entry, Sell, Hold, or Consolidation). The idea is that, GT has been nocking on this door for freedom, but for some reasons, its been caged below 25.. images below should share more light. i mage 1 is a DAILY chart while the second one is a WEEKLY chart.
Breakout is expected when it gets to this point. It might not be today, it might take a little longer though.. A breakout might see it fly to 30 or 32.. slight resistance at 28.
I might be wrong so pls dont rely on this analysis to make your investment decisions |

This is not as easy as we say it... when put into perspective, we are heavily import dependent. The implication of N550 exchange rate will be tough on the Nigerian. We will suddenly realise that there are sooo many other imported stuff that our lives have been built around than PMS(petrol) I still remember Austerity Measure of 1985 - 90... It was tough!! and at that time our taste for foreign stuff was yet very benign... talkless of now.. 550 exchange rate will be painful.. some will say for a while.... But how long is that 'while' ? no one can say.. Unfortunately during the $100+.Barrell of oil era, we didnt do much to diversify as a nation. My concern is for the average Nigerian... we are about to pay a huge price for poor leadership over the years... abeg make i no derail the thread ...back #NSEMPA! Tvegas: For heaven's sake they should just unify the rates once and for all. They are aiming for N550 next. Do whatever needs to be done now and damn the consequence. |

With the border closure, soap makers and some coys into consumer good are relying on supplies of CPO from Presco and Okhomu majorly, which is good for them. They also cultivated a couple of acres of palm trees which should start yielding pretty soon , increasing their capacity. I think the times are good for them. OBAGADAFFI: Agriculture/Agro Allied Sector
OKOMU OIL PALM PLC. (palm oil) 80NGN PRESCO PLC. (palm oil) 51.5NGN ELLAH LAKES PLC. 4.25NGN FTN COCOA PROCESSORS PLC 0.2NGN LIVESTOCK FEEDS PLC. 0.62NGN
It seems palm oil is booming |

And this scenario is unlikely. So Okhomu and Presco might be on a roll - medium term.. Presco closed at N52 today i think. With borders closed, they are enjoying semi monopoly in the CPO market. rmx: What might force it down is availability of cheap dollars and resumption of competing imports from Malaysia and Indonesia . Maybe |

It might take a major event for it to drop to sub N60 again. I dont know what that event will be. But we'll wait it out. IYGEAL: I have personally been targeting Okomu at 70 and below, to no avail.

I understood Mcy. I didn't anticipate a reversal so quickly though. What I did was split my planned volume into 3 parts. (20%,30%,50%) . Bought the first tranch - 20%. @N3.28 UCap. Did same for UBA @6.57. Will dip in again for the 2nd tranch - 30% at sub N2.70 and N6.25 for UCap and UBA respectively. And the final 50% further down. What happens if my criteria for 2nd tranch and 3rd tranch is not met? I'll stick with dividends. Both coys meet my 15% dividend yield criteria to hold (at my entry prices). So I can close shop at my 20% entry volume and enjoy dividends only till prices head south again enabling me increase volumes if all else remains constant (coys doing well.. growing EPS and paying dividends). I used same strategy with Dangcem following an initial purchase of 20% of my planned volume at N141. Successfully averaged down to N126 following this strategy. My safety net... Is that the coy must be strong dividend paying coys. Mcy56: My personal opinion: It may take a while except the positive momentum is sustained and there are more good news coming in to lift share prices the more. Ucap did around 70% upside already (from 1.80/1.90 to 3.24). I expected Zimams to get my point xtyday cos I didn't want to say it directly but he didn't.
Caveat: Pls this is just my own opinion, Mr. Market has a mind of its own, it may still proceed on the journey or be ranging for a while or stay at a car park......all depends.....

I thought I should plant my flag.. then look for opportunities to average down. I got in at 3.28 net (with charges ) yesterday. I'll waiting for it again @sub 2.70 Mcy56: Thought you said you'll watch out for pullback or something. It's still ranging btw 3/3.10 anyway........let's see how it goes.... |

Yes o.. it's been red for most of today. I had dipped in yesterday. Na to average down at sub N2.70 be that. If it gets there. Mcy56: Did you see Ucap losing today? That's why its most times risky to chase vehicle that already moved far. Ucap fell to as low as 1.90 during the March low..... |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zimams: 12:44pm On Aug 10, 2020 |
Yes.. i will take a cautious dip today.. and watch for losses on those 3 stocks that i can capitalize on during the week. Mcy56: A good strategy. Anyway, you may pick some units in order not to miss out totally.......should the stocks rally the more.......moreso that there's still positive momentum in the market. |

No Jijo' o .. I' have medium to longterm mindset towards the NSE. While keeping a close eye on erratic price movements that may lead to my jumping out at any time if i make considerable unexpected gain. Thanks Mcy. Mcy56: UBA never waka far nah. I blvd news of interim div, if there's going to be any, will help UBA's ministry. Also, Access, GTB are both looking up, picking some units of UBA at currentprice may not be a bad idea. Afriprid at currentprice is okay too. Like I said, it depends on your inv. goal and objective. If it's for jijo then I don't know what to say, Loco or iphonix may be of help here. |

Thanks Mcy, i see your point. It's now a moving target with their share prices looking up. I guess its safer to sit and observe this week. I may have missed these buses already. . Mcy56: You asked Mcy a difficult question here, it's always good to ask this type of question when market is down or trading 'flat'.......not when prices are going up. My ogas will be in best position to answer this. Actually, it depends on your investment objective, goal and horizon (horizon is OGG copyright). The trio are great coys no doubt......... Ucap moved from 2 to 3 already, may be heading towards 3.50, it may decide to drink water at 3/3.10. Afriprud still traded at 4.10 last week, a good entry point, we don't know what Mr. Market may decide....either up or go back to pick more passengers. UBA...... |
